I thought people were adamantly saying that there was no cell service at the home?

I got cell service up there, along with many others.

I would think if Mark disappeared Dylan, it would have added credence to his version of events had he also disappeared Dylan's bike. That way it could be said he took off on his bike to ride to his friends house and something happened to him. And before anyone says Mark's not smart enough to think that, he sure has been attributed to being smart enough for a lot of other theories presented so far. JMO

He had a charger, so if it was dead, he just needed to plug it into the charger and he could retrieve the numbers he needed.

I agree. And for crying out loud, he had 5 FACEBOOK PAGES! You can send messages via facebook if nothing else is used! Unbelievable how some folks cannot see that Dylan was able to contact people without having their "phone number". JMO

you guys better knock it off in here now... this is not the "let us snark at each other until the cows come home" thread.

This is about Dylan.

You can:

1) respectfully address a post if you disagree
2) scroll past a post if you feel you cannot provide a respectful response
3) use the ignore feature if you feel you cannot even read an opinion that is not the same as your own

And ALERT a post you have a concern with vs responding.

He had a computer with wifi. When my DD wanted to contact friends she would FaceBook them. It instantly goes to friends cell phones. Dylan could have used the computer or the i-pod. imo

Whoops! "Great minds"...and all that! :great:

Do we know that the bike was in fact Dylan's?

Not raking anyone over the coals.

My mind is very methodical (i.e. A --> B --> C). That's just how I think, and it serves me pretty well when moving from analysis --> comprehension. The story put forth by this individual makes little rational sense. Clearly, something happened to this child between the evening in question and before the morning when those errands were run in front of cameras. I have absolutely no idea what, but that is without a doubt the timeframe for which this individual needs to account.

That is not ambiguous...

Unless the computer was password protected, mine is. And again we don't know what kind of iPod it was.

Surely Dylan knew the boy's last name so he could look in up online, 411 or an old fashion phone book even. The only reason I could see is if he was in a huge hurry but MR said he had cereal & the TV on so it doesn't appear he was in a big tear to leave, plus he took a...fishing pole.

That's the thing, it's not clear to everyone that MR did this. Period.

Phone books and Internet don't have cell numbers.

Just a question for all the parents of today's tech savvy teens.

If your child was ever in a situation where his phone "died", no battery, no charger/charger broken, whatever, and that child had access to a LAND LINE PHONE, A COMPUTER and possibly an Ipod, how many of you think your child is too stupid to know how to reach someone? How many of you believe your child would just go walking off somewhere...not exactly sure where he was going, but walk off somewhere? Especially, if that "somewhere" was at least 8 miles away? Are our children incompetent? NO. I don't buy that for one minute. JMO

1. I don't believe that it occurred that way. He may have interpreted it that way, but LE doesn't encourage vigilantism or public/family participation into their active investigations. It can greatly compromise justice outcomes.

2. If LE had any evidence implicating MR, they would be the ones 'bringing the pressure', while discouraging folks from impeding their investigation by taking the law, in whatever way, into their own hands.

Seems I recall LE stating that they were not involved with that rally, they did not encourage it, nor discourage it. I don't see how that can be interpreted as telling the family to put pressure on him.

So MR wouldn't allow his 13 yr old who sitting home alone to use the computer?

You don't think he would have given him a guest password to use?

Mine is password protected too. But if my kids need to use it for some reason they can.

Wasn't he going to R's Grandmothers? If he wasn't there she would know his cell.
