I wouldn't be on that one! Notice this was the first time it was mention in the home & include kidnapping? It is a slow progression. But "in the home" is a huge progression. IMO

What exactly did LE progress to? If they don't know whether something happened at the home, or whether he was kidnapped, then I am not sure what the progression is.

“He was sleeping on the couch, and I told him I had to go about my errands,” Mark Redwine said in a Sunday telephone interview. “He said, ‘OK, I understand.’ The focus for him was to go to his friend’s, but I live far back in the canyon. There’s a substantial distance between my house and the lake, so it doesn’t make sense that he would walk out, but he’s a 13-year-old boy, and who knows what they think sometimes?”

Well, to us that is news, but maybe LE has known all along Dylan was there, at least on the Sunday night. i still don't think they are closer to finding him.mm

Back then he was saying that a fishing pole was missing.

Those appear to be two very different theories, and if LE still has no clue which one is accurate, then they don't appear to be anywhere near finding where Dylan is.

Thanks, Kimster!

Say, would you please be so kind as to tell me what "LE" stands for in this Dylan conversation?

It took me a while to figure out that MOO did not mean y'all were a bunch of dairy farmers!

I always joke about old people and technology mixed together are not always a pretty thing!

Sorry for the O/T, but I wondered about that one for a while at first too. There were about 5 times I had followed a link about a story and ended up here, and every time I found a post or two signed MOO. I was thinking, doesn't anyone else ever post here? Then I finally started to notice that people with different user names were ending their posts that way, and it hit me that it wasn't someone signing their name. :blushing:

Being here sometimes makes me feel almost as much like a cow as being pregnant did! MOO

:welcome:

I think there is always hope, but must admit that the HRD hits concern many of us, especially since it was different dogs and handlers on 2 separate days. It is something I cannot ignore.

How long does a body have to be "dead" before it emits an odor these dogs can pick up? Anyone know? Minutes? Hours?

Before the they said possible abduction, kidnapping or foul play, door was open. Now, they are saying abduction or something happening in that house (which put MR is the picture) IMO. Slow & progressive.

At about the two week mark, didn't MR criticize LE for not searching the lake area earlier as he had told LE about the missing fishing pole? I think I am remembering the gist, but I will try to check that. Now the lake is brought up again. All MOO

That is what I am trying to say. If LE is being forthright in what they said tonight, they are not any closer.

If we are only getting bits of an interview, how can we determine what may be out of context, etc.?

You are soooo right! They were talking about him leaving to his friends!

"Mark Redwine says he remains puzzled why his son Dylan would try to walk to a friend’s house because the terrain is rugged where he lives and the house is a few miles away."

"The focus for him was to go to his friend’s, but I live far back in the canyon. There’s a substantial distance between my house and the lake, so it doesn’t make sense that he would walk out, but he’s a 13-year-old boy, and who knows what they think sometimes?”

Yes why bring up the lake at that time???:waitasec: Good catch score!

@Paulsy01 @9NEWS Both did. Mom says she passed. Dad says detectives told him his was inconclusive. He's says he's willing to retake it.

Sorry I'm calling BS on that comment, unless something changed in the last 24 hrs he has NOT been willing to retake. Oh, well, willing just never available.

I am NOT calling BS on you scorekeeper, I'm calling BS on MR's statement.

A 13-year-old gone without a trace is not common

"He either left the house and someone abducted him or something happened while he was still at the house. I could not think of a 3rd possibility," said Dan Bender, spokesman from the La Plata County Sheriff's Office.

Inability to rule out either possibility suggests lack of evidence for either one.
That's not good.
We've been discussing among those two possibilities and haven't gotten anywhere either.
