Isn't it possible that the Vallecito friend lives by the lake?

  • #542
BBM

I bolded the part about the lake and the distance....

why did Mark bring up the lake when the focus was for Dylan to go to his friends.....wasn't even asked about the lake....
I am still trying to catch up, but this is the second time I have seen that MR has tried to point LE at the lake. The first time was when he said that he wondered why it took so long for LE to look in the lake when he told them that Dylan probably has a fishing pole with him. (It's in the timeline somewhere). Now, out of nowhere, he is pointing at Dylan going to the lake ALONE. Right there, that just makes my skin crawl.

What exactly did LE progress to? If they don't know whether something happened at the home, or whether he was kidnapped, then I am not sure what the progression is.

Jenny I believe they have their POI. They know if MR is a suspect at this point, although they aren't going to tell us or him. They took kidnapping off, they added something may have happened in the home. This is a first in this case! You have to read between the lines. Yes, they can lie to a suspect, but not to the public. LE has to tell the public the truth, although it can be in a different language & you have to read between the lines & watch what they do. :floorlaugh:

I am not sure what you mean by they took the kidnapping off? Kidnapping is on the table. Bender listed abduction (which is the same as kidnapping) as one of the possibilities.

Exactly. This is the link to the earlier remarks http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_22063185/sunday-search-launched-missing-boy-laplata-county .

Actually, I agree...and if you go back to the NG transcripts, not just about the polys the way she is answering the basics of questions...she pauses, hesitates, etc. There could be many reasons, her nature, maybe she is unsure of herself, low self-esteem, medication maybe, who knows...hey her child is MISSING!!!

So in your opinion why do you think Mark's story changed, that he went to bed as Dylan was texting on the couch?

What if it didn't change, what if that's what he told LE all along and we're just hearing it for the first time??

Ok, just thought of this, remember the other day when we were all wondering about the last electronic device being used at 9:37? We all saw the text from R and knew full well that they stopped at around 8:01 and then R sent Dylan a text at 9:27 pm.

Are you all still there? jk
Some of us thought that it was a lie by LE, that they planted it because they don't have to give all the facts and it was discounted as a typo, confusion, everything.

Still there?

Mark said in the interview that he went to bed and Dylan was texting away.

That means Mark went to be at 8:01

Who does that? What parent that is excited to see his child goes to bed at 8 pm leaving him there to text. He didn't mention he went to bed and said get to bed soon, we have to get you to R's house at 630. Nothing, just that he went to bed and Dylan was sitting there texting. Not watching tv, nothing, Dylan was texting.

Do you think that was the reason LE said the last thing was 937? Nowing it was a lie, and waiting for a slip up.
Then a few days later Mark has that in his head and brought that out there. He went to bed and Dylan was texting (would make more sense at 937 vs 8)Just like so many of his comments that seem to be as if he is answering questions poised and his story changes.

What's the difference between kidnapping and abduction?

  • #553
LE at least intimated that Dylan made it to the house. That's progress. How can something have happened at it if he'd never been there??

  • #554
I am not trying to be rude here but I am very perplexed.

What is it about the "new house" discussion that is important?

I can see where it might be exciting for an adult, but for a 13 year old they usually have other things on their mind.

How is the new house discussion going to help find Dylan?

The Father himself in a interview brought that up for whatever reason is beyond me,

What does it have to do with finding Dylan, just another slip up on the Fathers part of what they did when they arrived home.

What's the difference between kidnapping and abduction?

I'm not positive, but I believe that abduction means taking a person somewhere else (against their will or without permission) and kidnapping means holding a person against their will, without permission of parent/guardian, etc. MOO

I'm not talking about Bayfield, I'm talking about Vallecito.
If you read the article, the friends he was supposed to meet that day were in Bayfield. I have not seen any reference to his going to see friends in Vallecito that day, but I might have missed that.

I have read that article, and everything else that's been published about the case, as well as watching all of the videos now that I finally have some headphones. From the very beginning, MR has said that he went to the house of the friend in Vallecito first (I believe it was shortly after 3) and when he wasn't there he went to the friend in Bayfield's home.

My take in these interviews, and it' MY OPINION,

Mark did ask for the return of his son, he pleaded to whoever had him to return him.

His eyes were red rimmed like he'd been crying.

He looked at the interviewer when he answered.

Elaine wouldn't look at the camera/interviewer when she answered that question. She seemed to hesitate and weigh her words, starting talking about something else before answering the question. I didn't think she was going to answer it to start with.

I didn't see a loaded gun on the table.

I think the information about Dylan texting when he went to bed may be new to us but not new to LE. And he didn't CHANGE is story, he added more information to it.

This is all my opinion. And I get to have it. Thank you.

Yeh, I'm confused because a stranger can kidnap a person, at least that's what they called it when the Lindbergh baby was taken. He was taken by a stranger and the case is hallmark to FBI being involved now in all kidnapping cases.

Does anyone in here have Dropbox (or a similar site/place where I could submit the transcipt from tonight's newscast)? VASportsmom used to allow me to place things in her Dropbox but she has the password and has to unprotect it so others can see. Any suggestions on how I can share?
