I saw that posted on FB and even though I asked for details I never saw any. Were charges filed by ER? Do we know the circumstances? Or was that put out there with no further explanation? tia

Cory also mentioned in the interviews that went out Thursday night. So its now not just a facebook rumor. He said it live on air that Mark hid them from mum for at least a day or two And i have no idea i am afraid. Just Cory said that Mark had hidden them before.

Agree with the above, and I'd add that if MR had been pretending to be DR to text, then he could have given himself a much better alibi. For instance, he could have text to say something along the lines of "my dad had to go run some errands, and said he'll be back at 11 to drop me off, but I don't wanna wait. Will hitch a lift to yours". Or even "bored waiting for my dad to come back, gonna go fishing for a bit".

I think the texts were sent by Dylan.

I, too, think the texts were sent by Dylan. As someone who has followed this tragic story since the beginning, it is painful to see that we are no where closer to finding Dylan almost 3 months later. In response to whether not Dylan sent the texts and speculation of MR's intelligence, I have to wonder if maybe MR didn't know of Dylan's plan to meet with his friends early the next morning. Clearly, the kibosh was put on Dylan's plans to meet with his friends Sunday night. What if Dylan planned to meet his friends and was getting up the nerve to ask his dad for permission? Without knowing of the plan, MR's story is a plausible coverup..."Oh, I tried to wake him but he wouldn't budge...blah, blah, blah." MR wouldn't have known that he'd have to account for Dylan earlier than 7:30am. And, everything since has been MR trying to play catch up. Maybe something happened to Dylan in that "leap" from McDonald's to murder. Maybe it happened before Dylan even asked about going over to his friends house at 6:30am. Maybe it happened because he asked about going. Maybe the phone was tossed before MR (whether it be in the lake or somewhere else) thought to read the texts.

I wish we knew to whom the last text was sent or what it's content was.

She's said (other than in her initial comment) that she believes he did something, but she doesn't believe he hurt him. I think there's a big difference. MOO

I have to disagree. Her first statement came from a gut reaction so i believe it. She clearly stated she thought Mark could hurt him in the first statement and i take that as gospel .

Now she is trying to keep hope alive to keep going and has gone back and forth. She still stood outside his house the other weekend demanding answers . So she still has one suspect in mind.

I thought it was for a week and Cory said he missed a week of school. Also azgrandma said he did it with her kids and she did file a report.

Do we know for a fact that Dylan told Mark the 6:30 AM time? I don't recall Mark ever saying that. I only heard that Dylan told him that he wanted to visit friends in the morning. Maybe I missed that. Do you have a link where Mark gave the 6:30 AM time?

I found it.

Mark Redwine said Dylan had made tentative plans to meet friends at 6:30 a.m. Monday morning, but “nothing was etched in stone.”

So it wasn't something that was "concrete", it was a tentative time.

Not sure the exact circumstances but it was contained in Cory's (very brief) interview with Melissa.

According to MR...after the fact. Judging by the texts and the fact that R set his alarm for the following morning and texted Dylan at 6:45am when he wasn't there, I'd say the boys believed it to be a concrete plan. Or at least it was until for some reason Dylan was unable to reply to R's last text. Or any texts after 9:37pm apparently. :waitasec:

Did Cory ever give any details of this event? Did he say Mark locked them in a closet somewhere or did he "hide them" at a movie theater or amusement park?

Mark mentioned the time in his uncut interview. The quote is in my original post #740.

He supposedly took them to his bosses cabin and wouldn't let them contact their Mom.

You could be right. It just shows he is not the man he is trying to portray to the media .

He is not close to any of his children and the one he may of had a relationship with is now missing. Not exactly a good track record !

On FB I believe he answered that MR had taken them to a cabin owned by his then-boss in the mountains somewhere. No phone contact allowed. One week. ER must have been out of her ever loving mind.

The only thing Cory said about it in that interview was:
Cory ******: He took me and Dylan twice and wouldn’t tell us where my mom was at

Is this sarcasm as why would he hide them in these places?

i think it was at a house or something .

I tend to believe Mark when he said that the time was tentative. Who gets to ultimately decide when and where a 13 year old gets to go? The 13 year old or his father? MOO.

Cory said Mark never harmed him.
Dylan's friends said MR and Dylan were buddies.

That does not correlate to Dylan ticked MR off cuz he didn't want to be there so MR harmed him. JMO

True but men who claim to " LOVE" their spouses and girlfriends kill them all the time and even after the fact say they love them. I think there are lots of ways that scenario could have happened, but I also think MR would be showing some horrific signs of guilt and remorse by now if it had happened like that. If he's cold and cruel enough to have done it and still be somewhat holding it together I think the former wives and kids would be screaming from the mountain tops a lot more serious language than they have been. So far we hear he may have been involved, he must know something etc. If you were married to or the child of a seriously deranged man with homicidal tendencies woudlnt the language be a bit more dire?

I guess that's why I have a hard time with the idea of premeditated murder. I do think that sometimes people do things that result in death that was not intended to.

No sarcasm intended. To me the details of this event are important in how it is received by the public. One set of circumstances would paint Mark in a more negative light than another. MOO.

Don't know about that but with grandma, she said as soon as the police were involved he returned the kids. I would bet LE would chalk an incident like this up to a ' custody/civil' dispute since they were returned quickly and then LE doesn't have to fiddle with paperwork and charges. Just a guess.

One parent hiding children from the other parent is not OK. I don't care if they are in a secret mountain cabin or Disneyworld
