It is my understanding MR also invited a lady with dogs over there? Again, why wait 2 months? I think its clear to everyone dogs work best when the scent is fresh.

That is the woman with the bloodhound named Sadie. She just offered to help for free. It's my understanding that both MR and Elaine have agreed to accept her help. I just don't even know where she might begin though?

Since Dylan disappeared there have been a whole bunch of people down there and snow. I just fail to see what dogs can do after all this time.

they used dogs almost a year after Amber Dubois was found and they came incredibly close to the location that she was eventually found (location provided by John Gardener)

He is doing something now.

Before it was why isn't he doing something.. and now that he is it is... why did he wait to do something.

You may want to add this on, too:

Dylan sent text messages throughout the evening. Investigators say the last text went out at 9:37 p.m.

Investigators say Dylan's cell phone has not sent out a signal since he vanished.

No, I definitely don't want to add irrelevant info to my post. If you come across anything saying no cell activity after 9:37 (thus precluding receipt of texts and checking messages in the morning), which is what my post and the relevant discussion was about, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know. Thanks.

And I never believed dogs were actually following Amber's scent.

For me, I'm not trying to shoot the messenger, but to keep track of accurate info. The info in the post you quoted is inaccurate. The reporter didn't say no cell activity after 9:37. Here's her twitter so you can check it -

Bender didn't say no cell activity after 9:37 in the video or article. Nobody said no cell activity after 9:37 in the video or article. Txjan's transcript is linked not too far back, and here's the article and video -

Okay, now I'm confused. I was going to go along with your suggestion to agree to disagree about the phone issue, but since you brought it back up, I assume it's okay to respond. If not, I apologize.

I went to the reporter's twitter account, like you said to do, and found a couple of posts by the reporter about the cell.

One says, "Investigators recently confirmed the real last text time - 9:37."

The other, "Dylan Redwine used cell phone until 9:37 the night prior to disappearing, and not at all after that."

Are there other posts where she says something different?

Thank you.

IMO, etc.

Well I know cadaver dogs can pick up a scent for many years.

GRACE: OK, so that`s normal. What about the cell phone and the backpack and other belongings?

REDWINE: It was my understanding from his dad that everything Dylan had was in his backpack including his cell phone, his iPod, his iPod charger, his cell phone charger, all of his clothes. So we had to actually make a trip to get some of Dylan`s clothes from where we live in Colorado Springs because it was my understanding there were no clothes at his dad`s house.

so was it Mark's ipod that was taken in the search of his property?

must have been.....

okay.

I do.

So, I guess we agree to disagree.

Amber didn't even get abducted on the route everyone believed she took. Nobody knew that until Gardner said where he abducted her.

"It was on Stanley Avenue, just east of North Broadway, about six-tenths of a mile north of Escondido High School and a couple blocks northwest of the route everyone had assumed Amber had taken on her way to school, where Gardner said he took her."

I'll just copy this from my other post -

That reporter may be just confusing the issues between the cellphone, IPOD, texting

This has already been posted numerous times. Bender is on quote saying there was no activity on the cell phone whatsoever since Sunday evening sometime. While we can debate whether no activity means no pinging, I am pretty sure any cell messages on Monday can be safely ruled out.

"BENDER: My understanding is -- and our investigators have checked his cell phone. Also, cell phones have GPS`s, so if they`re turned on, that gives a general location of the person. And we have been following up on those right along, and there`s been no activity on his phone whatsoever since Sunday evening sometime."

It might be too late for SAR dogs but not for cadaver dogs. They can pick up the scent of human decomposition for many many years. Some cadaver dogs are trained to pick up the scent in water also.

What could it hurt? One dog team is not going to be able to cover that much ground. Get them all out there!

Okay. I think I found something on the reporter's twitter posts, which is where you suggested we look:

One says, "Investigators recently confirmed the real last text time - 9:37."

The other, "Dylan Redwine used cell phone until 9:37 the night prior to disappearing, and not at all after that."

To me, the second statement, is pretty clear.

Thank you.
