I agree with everyone thinking -- "what normal person wouldn't call 911 if an accident occurred?"

I don't know what happened. But I think we need to remember that whatever happened, there is nothing normal about it.

But would he call 911 if he was letting Dylan do something he shouldn't have been letting him do and he might go to jail for it?

We were never allowed to play with the nerf football inside. These things are fairly heavy. Maybe MR has flood lights outside his house?

iPod inside MR's truck? This is the first I've heard of an iPod inside the truck.

  • #563
What if MR was letting Dylan drink alcohol for example and he died as a result of that. Couldn't he still be charged with some type of homicide?

  • #564
Do we know who owns the iPod located in Mark's truck?

do you have a link, please?

Haven't heard about ipod being found in truck.

TIA

Didn't Cory say that Mark was never physically abusive towards him or Dylan? Was there ever anything about physical abuse towards Elaine?

I don't see how this can be ruled out as we don't have any idea what actually happened, but nerfs are made to be played indoors. This is two guys we're talking about. Guys in my family have no hesitation playing indoors with real footballs until they get yelled at long enough, but maybe that's just my family. All MOO

I disagree about them being made for indoors. We broke many a lamp doing that and our Mother finally said no more. JMHO

Not trying to be argumentative, but you can throw a rag doll around and break something. Nerf's original slogan was "world's first official indoor ball". Marketing slogans promised that one can "Throw it indoors; you can't damage lamps or break windows. You can't hurt babies or old people." So I agree problems can arise, but I still think most people see Nerf as an indoor toy. All MOO

I agree. Guys are rough and throw thing around in the house all the time, especially if there isn't a woman around to yell at them. I doubt M had a china collection or anything like that to worry about.

If something happened at the house, would the dogs pick up a scent (of course I can't recall now reading about cadaver dogs being used at the house)?

If this was an accident, I lean toward something that happened away from the house, and outside of the truck, somewhere in between Durango and Mark's house. Or perhaps at the reservoir.

I don't recall the HRD dogs being at the house; only the lake

But if they were at the lake, wouldn't it make sense they would be at the house also? I have never seen anything that says the dogs were at the house. So I guess I just wonder why not? Why didn't they have the dogs at the house?

They did use the bloodhounds at the house, correct?

Yes, the bloodhounds were at the house Monday evening and Tuesday and at other times since then, I think (and other areas).

I don't recall about the HRD dogs at the house, but I will go back and look. And it makes no sense to me to me but perhaps that information was never released by LE. Could they have hid them in the truck that was backed up to the house and taken them in - remember they had the white canvass blocking the of CSI going in/out of house? I'm sure they used HRD dogs on the vehicles once they towed them from the house.

I have a lot of "why and why didn't they" questions about Dylan's disappearance....

Members of La Plata County Search & Rescue team using bloodhounds searched for the teen Monday night and Tuesday. The search area included the shoreline around Vallecito Lake, several small subdivisions, county roads, steep wooded hillsides and hiking trails. Many of the homes in the area are seasonal while some are occupied year around.

Blood hounds were brought in to see if they could pick up any scent of Dylan. They were taken around to the same areas that had been covered before and no scent was found.

AND

In a recent development, a bloodhound from New Mexico searched the same areas in Vallecito gone over earlier by search teams and dogs, KOAT-TV in Albuquerque reported. The bloodhound, the station report said, can detect a scent up to 6 weeks old. But the dog turned up nothing.

Only thing remotely close to MR's house that I could find was the "possible" scent by dogs near the corner (??) but they couldn't tell because nothing to catch DR's scent from ... do you remember that ? see Timeline Official FMDR FB.
