Do those even exist anymore?? I don't think I have seen/read any thing remotely investigative or even anything that can be considered journalism in years. It is all just sensationalism or fluff :furious:
I wonder if Mark would let the dogs search his house and cars ?

I know I'm a few pages behind but if not already addressed, here is my post from Dec 2 about that RSO that lives next to MR.

Specifically the last link given there. It states...
"33 year old Ronald Ralph Simpson Jr. was arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children. Agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement received information that Simpson was distributing childvia peer-to-peer networks. A search warrant was obtained for Simpsons apartment and was executed by the La Plata County Sherriffs Office and ICE. The investigation revealed that Simpson had more than 1000 printed pictures of child
and hundreds of CDs containing thousands of child
images in his possession."
This is actually very, very cool !![]()
Happy Birthday Dylan !

for all we know they had them there when they served the sw.
I also want to say my hat is off to Mark for working with the PI. If they do bail bonds what does that matter? They are private investigators. (I am not saying that to your post... I am just making the comment in general).
Mark Redwine said, "I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't" and frankly I agree with the man.
I don't see the picture. Has it been taken down?

It sounds to me more like he was refusing to get up, not that he didn't wake up. I've had the same experience with my kids. They may have mumbled 'okay' and then rolled over and went back to sleep, and not even remember that I tried to wake them up.
And if he had done something to Dylan, and knew he was dead, why would he be trying to wake him up?
I think that ER or MR working with anyone is terrific. IMO neither ER or MR worked with PI's in the beginning or cadaver searchers because you just can't let your mind go there. You have to have hope that the police are going to find out what happened and solve it right away, you have to believe that your child will be returned to you.
Then there has to come the most heart wrenching time in your life when you say to yourself, we HAVE to go down this road.
I also want to add that I am not trying to judge parents for mistakes that were made in the past. The important thing is to realize those mistakes and try not to repeat them.
My divorce was not a piece of cake. I handled things in ways I wish I wouldn't have, out of anger and frustration. I wish I would have been able to rise above that despite the hurt. Divorce and problem relationships can bring the worst out in people and it takes two to tango and there are always two sides to every story. It would be nice for a couple to be able to say that after years of marriage, they never had to deal with an affair or an account of drunken foolish behavior from their spouse or partner. Consider yourself lucky if you've had a great relationship. I wish I would have and I wish I could have made better choices just as these parents are probably wishing right now.
I think it's sad that the public has become privy to all their dirty laundry. I don't know anyone that doesn't have some dirty laundry. It must be very difficult to have the world know about it. It's bad enough that they have lost their child but on top of that the public has focused on, well....their dirty laundry.
Perhaps because its just a story he is trying to make us all believe

Yes, there were previous reports of several items of clothing left by Dylan. Now they are saying nothing was left. Which to me is a big contradiction.
Either clothing was left or it wasn't. What is there to be confused about?
I'm so glad they are bringing in an independent search team with dogs. How wonderful that they are going to do it for free...for as long as it takes! It's going to be grueling out there for them.
Just read the article and the search gal sounds like she's got a good head on her shoulders. Experienced dogs, interested in the story and the variables, meeting with the family. Her early presumption seems to be that Dylan may have set out on foot (she wants his stride, the wind speeds, etc) which is not useful, IMO.
This is where I wish search teams could work WITH LE....info such as those darned phone pings might be useful here. Info such as the route MR took to go into town that day or home that night, info such as where the RSO's live, etc. Without that info, she is literally canvassing all of the four corners. If a cadaver can be found out there, I'd bet my money on the dogs to find it, but still- a little useful info could go a long way.
