Is the birthday cake a picture of the lake?
Personally, I find that weird. That's just me though ..... :waitasec:
ETA: ok forgive me, I understand what it is now and why. Sorry.

azgrandma - yes, she could be wrong but I don't think she is. This is not the twitter post I saw. I'm not very good at twitter so I don't know if I can find it. I'll look in the media thread.
MB was responding to a question and she explicitly said she "double checked" or "verified" that the text was SENT from a CELL phone.
Because of the way the twitter happened, I believe she double checked with LE and the text was sent from the cell phone. Blows a big hole in one of my working theories.
Salem
Perhaps they only have landlines?
BBM... I wonder if the tv was on all night and MR assumed Dylan got up and watched Nickelodeon. It was on when he went to bed and on when MR got back from running errands.
Re: phones in Mexico...
It depends WHERE in Mexico. There are cities/areas that are very much like US cities in terms of luxuries and standard of living.
Calling from rural or poorly funded habitation in Mexico can be far more complex.
But that aside, a young child with any sort of language barrier to potential good samaritans probably wouldn't know to dial 00+country code before venturing on to the area code.
All that said, I've not seen anything to lead me to believe this is where he is- so I'm not sure it needs to be defined.
Again, cadaver dogs don't catch any person's scent. They hit on a scent of decomposition. They are supposed to hit on human remains. Any human's.
Not specific human's.
"Cadaver dogs are trained to ignore live human scent and animal scent, and only indicate on human remains. These dogs can be used to find human remains related to crime scenes, missing persons cases and forensic evidence related to decomposing human remains."

What is not accurate, exactly? Originally that story was told by MR's friend. MR wasn't talking to the press at the beginning.

Whenever we have contacted any of the family members, including Dylans father and mother they have been cooperative with us, said Dan Bender with the La Plata County Sheriffs Office.

Does anyone else think its not right (yet again) that MR's not there to celebrate Dylan's birthday? I'm sorry I'm having a hard time equating him saying (I'm going to paraphrase) that kids my whole world... And not show up? To some important things. It is MOO IMO moo moo moo moo!!!
And another sentence:
Dylan loves to ride bikes, play video games, he was really into the trick bikes.
This is Mark talking to the press back in December. He is not saying that someone else told him that Dylan was tired - he is saying that Dylan himself told him that he was tired.
per MB he is working out of state.....and wherever he was at 6:30, he would pull over his truck and beam a light...
