Is the birthday cake a picture of the lake?

Personally, I find that weird. That's just me though ..... :waitasec:

ETA: ok forgive me, I understand what it is now and why. Sorry.

azgrandma - yes, she could be wrong but I don't think she is. This is not the twitter post I saw. I'm not very good at twitter so I don't know if I can find it. I'll look in the media thread.

MB was responding to a question and she explicitly said she "double checked" or "verified" that the text was SENT from a CELL phone.

Because of the way the twitter happened, I believe she double checked with LE and the text was sent from the cell phone. Blows a big hole in one of my working theories. :(

Here's the Twitter conversation.

Perhaps they only have landlines?

Sorry guys, I guess I was being a little sarcastic. Meaning since he didn't use the landline at Mark's house; he wouldn't use a landline in Mexico. I'm not saying Dylan doesn't know how to use a landline.

I believe that he knew how to use all options of communications at Mark's...

I am well aware of landlines in Mexico :blushing:

Sorry...

BBM... I wonder if the tv was on all night and MR assumed Dylan got up and watched Nickelodeon. It was on when he went to bed and on when MR got back from running errands.

Presumably MR would notice that TV was on when he was trying to wake up Dylan.

Re: phones in Mexico...

It depends WHERE in Mexico. There are cities/areas that are very much like US cities in terms of luxuries and standard of living.

Calling from rural or poorly funded habitation in Mexico can be far more complex.

But that aside, a young child with any sort of language barrier to potential good samaritans probably wouldn't know to dial 00+country code before venturing on to the area code.

All that said, I've not seen anything to lead me to believe this is where he is- so I'm not sure it needs to be defined.

Presumably a blonde, blue eyed child would stand out like a sore thumb in such an area.

Again, cadaver dogs don't catch any person's scent. They hit on a scent of decomposition. They are supposed to hit on human remains. Any human's.
Not specific human's.
"Cadaver dogs are trained to ignore live human scent and animal scent, and only indicate on human remains. These dogs can be used to find human remains related to crime scenes, missing persons cases and forensic evidence related to decomposing human remains."
http://www.illinoissearchdogs.org/capabilities/cadaver_dogs.shtml

Here it says: ..when a body is under water, skin particles and gases rise to the surface so dogs can smell a body even when it's completely immersed.. BBM

What is not accurate, exactly? Originally that story was told by MR's friend. MR wasn't talking to the press at the beginning.

This is Mark talking to the press back in December. He is not saying that someone else told him that Dylan was tired - he is saying that Dylan himself told him that he was tired.

Perhaps you've thought of something that's slipped through the cracks in the Dylan Redwine case. #9news

48mKyle Clark‏@KyleClark

What are we/police missing on the Dylan Redwine case? @melissablasius & @kevinltorres standing by to talk about your theories. Use: #9news

For all the people that tweet.....some things you could ask

did Dylan make it to Mark's house Sunday night?
Where did and what times did Dylan's phone ping?
Where and times Mark's phone ping from 7:30 pm on Sunday until he reported Dylan missing?
Dylan's last electronic message - what did it say? Who did he sent it to?

I could ask more

but it's really hard to "help" when we don't have all the information about Dylan's disappearance.....

BBM this is a very good point. Cell phones wouldn't be a big deal, but landlines can get really confusing. I've only called other countries a handful of times but I always had to get online and look up how to call that country correctly, or back in the "old days" I'd call an operator to ask for help. I strongly doubt he's in Mexico anyway but even if he is, unless he could somehow get ahold of a cell phone calling from a landline would be really difficult unless he speaks pretty good Spanish or he runs across someone who speaks pretty good English and wants to help him.

And another sentence:

“Dylan loves to ride bikes, play video games, he was really into the trick bikes.

This one caught my eye too. Made me tear up.

For some reason this made me remember that early on there was mention of a bike being in front of MR's house. It was quite awhile back so I'm not sure if I can find the link (it'd definitely take me a bit) but it was in MSM. I hadn't thought much about the bike other than thinking it seemed like a faster means of transportation than walking, so it seemed strange that he wouldn't have used the bike if his plan was to get to his friend's house. I wonder, was it Dylan's bike at MR's house?

I originally thought maybe Dylan just wasn't into riding bikes and that's why he might not have taken the bike, but sounds like that's not the case. I'm probably reading too much into it, but this makes me think even more that he didn't set out for his friend's house on his own. :(

And when did I ever say somebody told MR that Dylan was tired?
My post said that MR's friend originally told the press that Dylan was tired.
Back then MR was not talking to the press. Here is what friend said on Nancy Grace.

"HESS: The dad said that Dylan had been up fairly late, the evening before he flew -- the night before he flew in to Durango. And he was really tired they had gone to bed. And that he had gotten up in the morning, stirred around the house, made some noise trying to get Dylan up, and Dylan didn`t want to get up and go into town at that time."
