Just watched Kevin Torres' story... all these different people, many young kids saying "Happy Birthday Dylan" and saying they miss him. I'm bawling :(

No, we have a home in Mexico - - it is just like in the US, we have both cell phones and land lines.

Probably also like the US in that some places have great coverage, some spotty, and some have little to no coverage - just guessing.

If he doesn't have access to a phone at all my thinking is either he's restrained somehow, or he's in a remote area in the US, Mexico, or who knows where. My husband and I went on a road trip and had no cell service for about 3 days and several hundred miles, all in California where I'm sure people think there's cell service everywhere. IMO there are plenty of places to "hide" from phone service if someone wants to.

“It was court ordered. It was at the end of a long custody battle and (Elaine) won, but the visitation schedule said Dylan’s father got him for Thanksgiving and that’s when he disappeared.”

Strange. Elaine posted on FMDR that there was no custody battle, didn't she? Maybe a month or so ago?

IMO there was no battle on her part she quite simply chose to move her and the boys to CCity where she had a job, and a home with her fiance and the boys.. Mark Redwine fought that move and he was the only one who had issues he was battling...Elaine simply filed what she as a parent is mandated to do when moving with her minor aged son, Dylan..any battle that arose from that was on MR's part..

IMO seems as tho he still was ongoing with some issue even as recent as the morning Dylan was supposedly "disappeared".. he had a meeting with his divorce Atty about divorce/custody issues.. why/what is anyone's guess.

This is just not accurate. In MR's first uncut video, he said:

"....as he indicated to me that he was up til 4:00 the morning before and that he was tired from being in the airport most of the day.."

and from his latest interview:

I thought it was earlier in the beginning…’cos I was fairly tired anyway, and I know Dylan was tired because he indicated to me that because he had been up ‘till 4:00 the night before and that he had spent most of the day in the airport traveling to get here that he was tired, and, you know, it seems to me it had to been about 10:30’ish maybe by the time the movie got done… somewhere in there and, you know, shortly after that I ran up and went to bed and he finished up doin’ whatever he was doin’ watching Nickelodeon or whatever he was watching.

I believe that ER had primary custody of Dylan already. She may not have seen any of MR's repeated court filings as a "custody battle." I doubt she was ever in danger of losing custody, IMO.

Very good find thanks, also the end of the sentence is intriguing....

"The website reports that two cadaver dogs, separately caught Dylan Redwine’s scent from a boat off a dam".

I am jumping off my post sorry, but IF the dogs are Cadaver dogs.....the 'hitting' by both of them, seperately as stated, IS intriguing for me.

They both HIT on a BOAT that was off the dam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some dead human has been in that damn boat in my opinion the diving was too DANGEROUS with the water temp. Gotta wait till spring for sure.

Well, to be fair moving one's son 6 hours away from his father is kind of a 'first shot fired', IMO.

Cadaver dogs are not hitting specifically on Dylan's scent. They are supposed to hit on human remains. But they are not a 100% accurate. So something is decomposing at the lake. It could have absolutely nothing to do with Dylan. And you are misreading it. The dogs didn't hit on a boat. They hit from a boat. Which means the dogs were taken into a lake on a boat and hit on something decomposing in the lake.

Dylan's aunt comments about Dylan. Interesting thing that is said is that it was Dylan's scent in the lake at the dam.

JMO, MOO and all that JAZZ

Very good find thanks, also the end of the sentence is intriguing....

"The website reports that two cadaver dogs, separately caught Dylan Redwine’s scent from a boat off a dam".

And another sentence:

“Dylan loves to ride bikes, play video games, he was really into the trick bikes.

What repeated court filings? The only one I've seen reported is one counter motion to Elaine filing for primary because of her move. What did I miss?

It was 50/50 until the move. Her friend DH said there was no disagreement about custody until MR went to court to get his parenting time (after ER had already gone and been awarded primary parenting time).

If MR travels and works 14 hour days then its pretty obvious he wasn't going to get custody.

The cadaver dogs were on a boat with their handlers. They take them by boat out on the water. Then they sniff the air for decomp scent.

If you look up the news stories from that time frame, you can see lots of pics of the dogs on the boat with their handlers.

Exactly. Not "on a boat." But "from a boat."

Cadaver dog refers to a dog trained to detect dead humans

Agreed it is NOT Dylans SCENT.

They are trained for Human Death only so I would say both of them hitting in a boat is a bit more telling because they both did it seperately...........IMO

IN or ON a boat is synonomous......same spot found on water is very telling folks.

Re: phones in Mexico...

It depends WHERE in Mexico. There are cities/areas that are very much like US cities in terms of luxuries and standard of living.

Calling from rural or poorly funded habitation in Mexico can be far more complex.

But that aside, a young child with any sort of language barrier to potential good samaritans probably wouldn't know to dial 00+country code before venturing on to the area code.

All that said, I've not seen anything to lead me to believe this is where he is- so I'm not sure it needs to be defined.

But couldn't the reporter have been wrong? Or could she have assumed that "text" meant cell phone since that is what the police were talking about. Or she could be spot on. In the conversation I don't see where she double checked but there could be other where she said she did.

Melissa Blasius ‏@MelissaBlasius
@lynseypug I was told the last text sent from his cellphone was at 9:37 pm. It's the only electronic device investigators are talking about

azgrandma - yes, she could be wrong but I don't think she is. This is not the twitter post I saw. I'm not very good at twitter so I don't know if I can find it. I'll look in the media thread.

MB was responding to a question and she explicitly said she "double checked" or "verified" that the text was SENT from a CELL phone.

Because of the way the twitter happened, I believe she double checked with LE and the text was sent from the cell phone. Blows a big hole in one of my working theories. :(

BBM... I wonder if the tv was on all night and MR assumed Dylan got up and watched Nickelodeon. It was on when he went to bed and on when MR got back from running errands.
