Per the Colorado Secretary of state business license search portal, Olson got his business license on 1/5/13. Good for one year. Many Rocky Mountain Investiagtions prior to that but this is the only one attached to Olson.

ETA; Well, he attached himself to this business name as a PI. Not sure about licensing, etc but this is his official statement to Colorado that he is working as a private investigator under the name Rocky Mountain Investigations.

Thank you very much, rebeccaeee! So Rocky Mountain Invest. has only been in existence for about a month.

I hope Mark checked out this guy's background. So many PIs jump to try to get involved in missing child cases, and it's so important that families make sure they're licensed, experienced, have a good reputation, and have experience especially in missing person cases. There are so many exploiters who try to attach themselves to the families of the missing when the families are in a vulnerable and desperate position.

Not saying anything negative about MO - I don't know his background yet. Just saying I hope Mark checked him out. Same as I hope Elaine checked out Bobby Brown and made sure he has experience in missing person cases.

Looks like Bobby Brown sends the families of missing persons to psychics? That doesn't make me happy.

Through the years, Grant has corresponded with Brown, who has encouraged her exhaustive quest. He's a former law-enforcement officer with more than 40 years of experience.

"He's known from Dog the Bounty Hunter and he has a new TV show called Missing Peace." The cold-case series, currently in production, pairs teams of investigators with psychics in an effort to bring closure to victims' families.

<modsnip> my comment was my own personal opinion about how i see mr work situation vs how "others" see er work situation.

I don't feel sorry for mr "having to work" i've seen the excuses on this thread for "poor" mr. "he has to work, he's on the road, he's doing what he needs to do, he couldn't spend much time with dylan because he was working, yadda, yadda, yadda." but er gets a better job and moves a few hours away to make a better life for her children and that somehow isn't alright. Nope. Double standard. Not buying it.
Just my opinion and my opinion only!

and my opinion too ! :p

Nothing in Bobby Brown's background on his website about experience with missing person cases -

I'm still googling both BB and MO.

But Elaine had every right to point a finger at Mark. Dylan was with him!
If Dylan went missing under Elaines care then I can say sure fire away but as I see it she was no where near them at the time. If it was reveresed Elaine would be the one we all would be pointing a finger at. I do not get the warm and fuzzies when MR speaks and in his interviews I dont think we are seeing the real MR. Elaine knows the real MR. And AZG knows the real MR. All we see is what he wants us to see. I do believe MR knows alot more than he is saying!

JMO

I agree and I think his tears were more about him getting to see his favorite baseball teams, etc...than anything/anyone else. JMO

I think Brown came to the case via local connections. At first, Dog the Bounty Hunter's son (who I'm sure has a real name but I don't know it) tweeted and retweeted Dylan's missing flyer then FMDR folks began deluging Dog and Brown (who have done Dog's tv show together) and caught Brown's attention. All of this unfolded on FMDR FB page in late Dec/early Jan.

Not sure how I feel about bounty hunters and missing kids but am encouraged by also accepting legit search offers (like the K-9s) at the same time. I think the family is feeling desperate. Psychics may get in the way but media exposure isn't a bad thing, IMO.

Googling 'em right along with you.....

Just wondering if this woman and her organization that is mentioned in the above article has been sleuthed too. I may have missed the discussion of the findings about her. ty

Uh oh. Am I not supposed to be posting about the PIs? I apologize if I broke any rules. Mods please delete, and I'm sorry for causing you extra work :blushing:

Because MR told her?

From what I remember she was just decribing that's the way Dylan is. That he doesn't change his cloths often. She wouldn't find it unusual for him to fall asleep in his cloths and get up the next day and go about his business in the same cloths.

Now that I've had a little over 24 hours to process the differences between the MR & ER interviews, you just hit the nail on the head for me. Thank you, absentia!

During ER's interview, I was uncomfortable with all the long pauses of silence between ER's answers & the interviewer's questions. There were no such long pauses between MR & the interviewer's question/answers. I didn't realize until you said it, absentia, that the reason why there weren't any long pauses is because MR is talking so much.

As several other WS members have brought up, MR's tone is the same throughout the interview. MR only gets upset when thinking of past memories with DR & that's his only change in tone.

Or is it past memories of baseball games and nascar? JMO

I have worked in the the legal field too long. I am pretty synical about these bail bonds men/PI's and the psychics and some others too. I am just not so sure about these folks and their motivations but if one of them finds Dylan I will be glad to be wrong about them.

Jumping off your post. If they had joint 50/50 custody prior to Elaine moving to CS would MR have to pay any child support?

No idea about this. This link does seem to indicate that perhaps the child support situation may have been altered when it went from joint custody to sole custody. Perhaps that was something that MR was working on with his lawyer that day since he had to also go in to see someone at his employer's office regarding payroll. Perhaps he had to get paperwork from them to take to the lawyer? Perhaps he was working at having a new support payment reduced based on his income? Really have no idea.

Also wondered why he had to make a call to a property management company regarding a check he sent them. Would this be in regards to the other home in Bayfield? Wouldn't he be getting checks from a home he owned but is possibly renting? Again...no idea how this works. :waitasec:

I have to say that I have thought about the sightings frequently. They were quickly dismissed as not being Dylan even though one was by a person who supposedly knew DR. Just another strange occurence in this case. jmo

It was so endearing how ER mentioned that CR was trying to "teach" Dylan about the benefits of deodorant and such lol. Isn't that something a father should be doing? Made me so sad for CR and his loss as well. He probably was more of a father figure to Dylan. :(
