Quick Poll :

What is the most intimate relationship you can think of between two people ! ?
That is what two people form the most intimate of relationships ? tyia

Until I had kids, I would have sworn husband/wife. Now that I have two kids, i would say parent + child. Is that weird?

true, until you have grandchildren. :)

I am thinking about the searchers out today. It seems maybe Dylan's birthday vigils happened right before something even more circus-like has ramped up (the so-called PI's who I suspect have their own motives in mind more so than finding Dylan), the Dr. Phil show controversy. I'm feeling very reflective about the events of the last almost three months and again, I am struck by how one missing child brings out so many sides of society. The community gatherings, fund raising events, donated billboards, auctions, etc., really show the love and hope for this boy. Obviously, those that are interested in using Dylan's situation for their own agenda have to put their heads on their pillows each night and look at themselves in the mirror each morning.

I am so glad that Websleuths has,<modsnip>, people who are passionate, caring, concerned, and decent who just want missing people (like Dylan) to be reunited with his loved ones and don't have any selfish goals or hidden agendas.

Sorry for the O/T

No , not at all. I think it's a toss up and depends on
a variety of factors . But I would have to say spouse
and parental , perhaps one at times overrides the other
but there is nothing closer.......imho. I'd like everyone's
opinion when they get their butts up this morning !

No, I don't think so. I've always heard put your marriage first before your kids, and I'm like WTF? I love my dh with all my heart, but I gotta say if I was forced to choose between my boys and my dh, my boys win.

I had to use one of my "spam" email addresses this morning. (Meaning an email address I use when I know I'm gonna get a lot of spam from whatever I'm using it for.) Anyway, it's also the email address I used to sign my son up for Xbox live. When I went in there this morning, there are hundreds of messages from my son and his friends when they are playing their games on Xbox live.

Earlier I had told y'all my youngest uses an email to text on his iTouch. None of those messages are stored in the inbox of the email address.

My point is, when they said they found Dylan's email texting account, could it have been Xbox live messages or was it confirmed he DOES have an iTouch?

I'd say for me personally my kid.

I don't think there is any relationship closer, in that you know that person better than they know themselves sometimes, the good the bad and the ugly, than a long term marriage. Parent and child comes in a close second IMO.

Intimate? In terms of knowing a person inside & out, their biggest secrets and fears, well that would be 2 folks in an 'intimate' relationship: spouses, lovers. I know things about my DH, my ex-H, and my ex-boyfriends that would shock anyone else (well, probably not their significant others since me).

I adore my son and we are close, and of course I would take a bullet for him, but there are things that I never want him to know about me, and I'm sure that there are or will be things about him I never want to know.

The terrain in that area and all the bodies of water remind me so much of the search for Sierra. At least in her case the weather allowed them to dive.

It really hurts to see that the HRD dogs have hit on something but there isn't more they can do to rule out the source.

I apologize as I have definitely NOT been able to read every post on every one of Dylan's threads. Does anyone know if they brought in equipment like they did in Sierra's search to look in the water. They had underwater cameras. When the dogs hit earlier did they follow up with all the technology available to search the water? I'm just wondering if the dogs continue to make more water hits, how things will proceed from there.

I've been scrolling back through everything on this case and there are a few questions I can't seem to find the answers to. If anyone can help, I'd sure appreciate it!

1) Has MR said whether the house was locked or unlocked when he returned?
2) Has MR said that the cereal bowl was not there when he left?
3) Has MR said whether or not the TV was on when he left?

TIA

He didn't say anything regarding any of the above questions in his latest interview.
But why would a cereal bowl be there when he left? Dylan was sleeping, clearly he had no breakfast yet. Why would TV be on when he left? Again, Dylan was sleeping.
MR has not said anything about house being unlocked or locked in any of the interviews.

Is it possible that MR told LE he went to the friends house and the friend hadn't seen him, then LE went to the friends house to check his story and the friend said nobody was even home that day?

I just...have NO idea. I would really like to ask him about that.

I also wonder why MR didn't call the house phone that morning looking for Dylan. As someone else said, it would be louder, it would be more reliable, and it would ring longer.

I guess he could have and just didn't mention it, and I guess his cell phone records will show one way or another. Especially if he has an answering machine or a message service, (since I'm unsure whether uncompleted cell phone calls show up on any records.)

Arghhhh. Seems like ER isn't credible somehow, but questioning MR is part of the "mob mentality." All MOO

This is because we are attacking each other - instead of the post and a bullying type atmosphere is beginning to develop.

It is OKAY to question the motives and opportunities of ALL parties involved. That's what we do here. It is NOT okay to bash/trash or otherwise insinuate that another poster's opinion is wrong, dumb, or otherwise unworthy of being on this page.

Posters are starting to become frustrated because the have interpreted the facts in the way that is most logical to them and at this point - almost 3 months in -- have become somewhat invested in their theory.

That's all okay. But we don't need to fight about it or try to change another's mind or give posters a bad time because they question something. It is okay to QUESTION EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY - don't be offended by that. It is all part of the process.

But - if you think a post goes to far, then alert it and let the mods take a look. We will take any necessary action.

Thanks,

Salem

PS - Doneta - this is NOT directed at you. I'm just using your post for a jumping off spot.

Thanks for answering!

We're assuming that cereal was for breakfast. I'm wondering if it was a late-night snack.

MR said something about the TV being on Nick or whatever when he went to bed. I'm wondering if the TV was ever turned off or if it was left on all night and into the next day.

I can see how MR *might* miss an empty cereal bowl, but not the tv being on in the morning. It was dark at that time, and I just don't see how he could miss the tv being on.

Exactly. He has a small living area. I fail to see how he would miss TV being on.

I agree, he should've noticed the TV being on if it was. That's why I was asking if he ever made a comment about it one way or another.
