Thanks. So according to Elaine, Mark had a functioning landline at his home. So now we need to know if Mark tried to call Dylan on that landline. How about Wi-Fi? I'm actually more interested if Mark had that set up.

In his recent interview, MR didn't mention anything about using a landline to call Dylan. Of course as he seems to add more details in each interview, who knows what he is going to say next.

She said he has internet & a computer. Routers are pretty cheap, but I don't remember hearing if he does or not.

I know that routers are relatively cheap and are pretty easy to set up but if I was in in his shoes I probably wouldn't go out of my way to set up WI-Fi if I mainly used a desktop at home.

So one of the purposes of the Dr Phil show would be to show inconsistencies in Mark's timeline which would be used against him in the court of public opinion.

I would understand completely if he declines to participate in his own lynching. MOO.

IMO we can find all, as well as name, number, and label each and everyone of the uncomfortable, negative, and downright BAD things that "could be".. in the end it all comes to the same resolve... His youngest born son, Dylan is gone and has been GONE FOR WELL OVER TWO MONTHS NOW..and if he did choose to hitchhike that chilly, November morning with every item he'd brought with him from his home in Colorado Springs..and he did get abducted by someone who I can only assume that every single one of us at this point would agree would have been taken for nothing but NEFARIOUS, WRONG, OR VERY BAD INTENT..well.. then every single one of the excuses named, numbered, labeled and broken down in every angle imaginable...THEY ALL, EVERY LAST HORRENDOUS POSSIBILITY THAT "COULD BE" THATS BEING NAMED AS AN EXCUSE ALL PALE IN COMPARISON to the very very real possibilities of what is and has happened to Mark Redwine's very own youngest son, Dylan!

Thanks jjenny but personally I don't care to discuss what people don't mention and turn that into something that it's not. MOO.

I would for my cell phone. Dylan's probably had no wifi capabilities, but Mark's probably does.

This is only an assumption, but since LE said that something may have happened to Dylan at the home, at the same time they released the info about the final communication, I conclude that this communication must have led them to believe he was at the house at some point. Since they had never said so before, the communication may have "pinged" at or near the house. JMO

I must not be up on latest statements from LE. So, to summarize, LE has stated that something might have happened at the home of MR? And that DR actually SENT an outgoing text at 9:37? Is that accurate? Can you link me just so I can read it?
LE seems to be talking a bit more than they were?

After reading your reply I'm not sure if you agreeing with my post or damning it. LOL

I do not have the link handy but LE said that they are looking at two things; either Dylan went out and was abducted, or something happened at the house.

We do not know for sure that Dylan sent that last text, but have been told by the reporter that it was a text and was sent.

Ok the part about the house from Bender is in this article. Also says last text "went out" at 9:37pm.

You would set up Wi-Fi in your home to have internet access on your smartphone? Is that what your saying?

Maybe Mark is like me and could care less about having his phone tied to the internet when at home. MOO.

What I want to know is when the cell phone last pinged. If Dylan was on it past 8pm there would be a ping record. Right?

Yes, you're correct if Dylan was in fact sending outgoing text messages after the shortly after 8pm time that Elaine has shared with us as his last texts...then absolutely there would be "pinging" of Dylan's cell phone connecting with the nearest cell phone tower..

Also not only just OUTGOING TEXTS from Dylan's phone would have pinged a tower, so, too would Dylan's phone "ping" upon RECEIVING any INCOMING text messages to his cell phone(or calls for that matter both outgoing/incoming)...Any/all of these above described communications would have without doubt registered a "ping" from Dylan's cell phone to the nearest cell phone tower at the time each were sent or received to or from Dylan's phone.

Jmo.

We had to get a router in order to get wireless in more than more room, on more than one device, in order to use both of our laptops but it does not apply to our phones, as they are not wireless capable.

anyone heard how the K9 search went today?

thank you. geeze, it doesn't sound like they are the sharpest tools in the box when they speak, do they? "I couldn't think of a 3rd option" and "due to the passage of time we're determined he's not a runaway"? not a lot of evidence based info there.

I did not see a desktop in his interview (when they scanned the cameral around) but it could be in his bedroom.
I am thinking he has a laptop that he takes with him since he is away from home so much ..... JMO

I imagine that your talking about your landline probably cordless phones and not your cell phones right?

I'm no expert but I would assume that Dylan's phone would "ping" when it was turned on, it was within range of a cell phone tower and no obstructions prevented his cell phone signal from reaching the tower.

If Dylan's phone made contact with a tower to send information after 8:00 PM then I would assume that would be considered to be a "ping record." I'm not sure if you could say that Dylan "was on it" however. JMO.

I'm just trying to think through this. If Dylan was on his cell up until and possibly past 10:30 at night when MR said he ran up to go to bed then LE would have known that Dylan's phone was still active. I am thinking LE knows a whole heck of a lot more then they are telling.

If a family member asked LE about certain things that they had questions on, like the last ping, would LE tell them or would they give a "it's a ongoing investigation and can't tell you" type of answer?

I came to this site because of Dylan and it breaks my heart to see how many people go missing. Not just kids but adults as well.

Where I live we currently have a possible child predator on the loose and it is scary.

JMO, MOO, and all that JAZZ

assuming the last text did go out from DR's phone and was sent by DR, basing the events of the evening on MR's statement, was DR mad at MR and sent a nasty text to someone (Cory? - another friend - Mike even?) that would have triggered MR? who rec'vd that text and what does it say? It's got to provide some info - either about how DR felt, what was happening with MR at the house, or that it didn't seem like DR writing it at all.

What gets Dr Phil higher ratings? Doing the right thing and treat everyone fairly or doing whats good for the ratings and create as much drama as possible?

I've watched him for quite a while, and rather than create drama, he defuses it. This is not Jerry Springer we're discussing.
