After reading your reply I'm not sure if you agreeing with my post or damning it. LOL

Sorry if my wordiness was confusing..my point is simply no matter what negative "could bes" there are..such as the "lynch mob" type "could bes" that you mentioned in your post.. IMO they all pale in comparison to what his son has endured or did endure in his being missing.. IMO his son regardless of what your opinion is that has happened to Dylan..Dylan has endured far worse ans IMO any/all excuse doesn't even begin to compare in being a reason to not go forth with anything that can bring attention, help, or assistance in finding and bringing his son home..

I'm just trying to think through this. If Dylan was on his cell up until and possibly past 10:30 at night when MR said he ran up to go to bed then LE would have known that Dylan's phone was still active. I am thinking LE knows a whole heck of a lot more then they are telling.

If a family member asked LE about certain things that they had questions on, like the last ping, would LE tell them or would they give a "it's a ongoing investigation and can't tell you" type of answer?

I came to this site because of Dylan and it breaks my heart to see how many people go missing. Not just kids but adults as well.

Where I live we currently have a possible child predator on the loose and it is scary.

When i first moved to the CO front range, we had Jessica Ridgeway go missing. It is SO freaky when there is a predator on the loose. stay safe.

I'm back on statement analysis. in his interview when talking about what happened after the movie, MR said DR "did not go in his room". This was unsolicited info, almost an afterthought. does that mean DR DID go in his room and that somehow resulted in a problem? I just thought that was strange. at least in that DR was maybe not allowed to go in MR's room? why would MR say that?

I just noticed this post. Do we have any confirmed information that Mark had an active landline when Dylan disappeared? Do we know if Mark had a Wi-Fi setup in his home?

If he had a landline it would be a valid question as to if he did or didn't try to call Dylan on that line.

Same thing with the Wi-Fi. If he didn't have that set up and working, an iPod Touch being the electronic device that sent the 9:37 text seems to be a remote possibility.

I would like to know if Mark had a landline and a Wi-Fi set up.

I don't have a link, but ER did confirm that Mark does have a landline. (we'd have to go back over a million and one threads to find it though)

I don't know that he has wifi...I know he has a computer with internet access.

I think that LE has all available information in regards to Dylan's cell phone activity and possible iPod activity.

LE would not reveal critical information to family just to placate them.

I like this forum as there are many ideas and opinions on what might have happened to Dylan. I have my thoughts and feelings, but I don't think most of my family would agree with me.

I was looking over the map near MR's house and there are certainly a lot of places to explore. There is a creek that runs behind the house and if you go all the way to the end of the street it looks like there is a campground? It appears the only access to the campground is to drive down the road in front of MR's house.

I don't think it's any mystery that a lot of SO's tend to be found in campgrounds, RV parks and trailer parks.

I agree the phone is a mystery, but phone's do break or quit working. Why did he take his backpack with him? Well, maybe he wanted to have his stuff. Why do I take my purse everywhere I go? There's no way to know why people, especially teens choose to do what they do. I just can't convict his father of killing his own flesh and blood, based on a phone and backpack. I need more information to be able to form my own opinion on what I think may have happened.

It bothers me that in the latest "uncut" video with MR, we pick up immediately with him in mid sentence. We didn't hear the question that was posed before this, or indeed if any other questions had been asked and answered beforehand. I'm imagining he was asked something about his relationship with Dylan, and given that ER publicly claimed more than once that he didn't really know Dylan (which has then been picked up and elaborated on by strangers from all corners of the world in this forum and others), I'm not surprised he felt the need to highlight the fact that he felt he had a close bond with Dylan. IIRC Dylan's friends believed this was the case too - and yes I do believe the opinions of his friends are worth considering.
I can actually recall posts about the first mention of the roadtrip to Boston, where this was dismissed as untrue, or at the very least referred to with sarcasm and doubt. Thank goodness we have actually seen some happy snaps of Dylan and his dad together on that trip which can hopefully put to rest he idea that it never took place?
I'm also not sure how anyone can judge MR for his tone of voice (with regards to the kitten reference a page or so back) - to me he has sounded the same in the few clips we have seen. If you are claiming that his voice or tone is "fake" wouldn't you need to be familiar with what he sounds like/how he speaks normally??
I'm surprised at the number of references there has been to him "lashing out" or speaking bitterly in his interviews, as that's something I sure haven't witnessed in any of the footage I have seen. If anything he has calmly and rather briefly commented on others (including ER's) perceptions of him with a heck of a lot more understanding than I imagine I would in similar circumstances.
All MOO of course - I kind of lost track of what I was wanting to post about there, but just ended up getting a few points off my chest!

Aha, you're right. more inconsistencies, b/c MR later (or earlier) states that DR did not go in his (MR's) room.

I'm hung up on MR's description of Sunday night at Walmart. at 11:32 in the video, he has been asked what happened during the 24 hours before DR went missing. He is stating what was purchased - snacks for a few days and a couple movies. He then states "one of those movies is the one we watched.....pause.....the night.....pause......you know.......pause.....we were together". then he looks off in the distance for a full 3-4 seconds shaking his head with a dismayed look on his face before he pulls it together.

Now, he was already talking about Sunday night. the reporter had directly asked him to go through the 24 hours before DR went missing. and then he references "the night" (we were together) as if it wasn't the same night, or the night was special or stands out (to him, to everyone). It's a weird thing to say and a weird way to say it. IMO, he was thinking about what really happened that night during the movie. This is right before he talks about how they didn't buy anything for T'day - which was one of my concern all along - that if that were found to be the case, it would be a bad sign. IMO.

assuming the last text did go out from DR's phone and was sent by DR, basing the events of the evening on MR's statement, was DR mad at MR and sent a nasty text to someone (Cory? - another friend - Mike even?) that would have triggered MR?

Or DR sent a nasty text to someone about not wanting to be there and MR didn't know about it. Then that someone may have driven a good distance to MR's house the next day to 'save' him from having to be there. Just as plausible - though not very. JMO.

I certainly feel that Dylan could have overslept on Monday morning. After his dad gave up on trying to get him up he finally rises and grabs his phone and discovers that not only is it dead but plugging in the charger does no good.

He doesn't have his friends numbers memorized so he can't call them on the landline. Dylan knows that his friends are waiting for him and he doesn't want to wait for his dad to get back.

So he decides to do what he has done in the past. Hitchhike. He take's his backpack with all of his stuff so that he could stay overnight at his friends if his dad say's it ok. Out the door he goes and he's never seen again. MOO.
