All I heard of that is that it appeared to be an ADULT MALE.
So I've put it out of my mind with regards to Dylan.
Hey did any searching with dogs go on today or did the weather nix that ?

I heard that too, but there's no official word that it's an adult. I think the body is still in the water, or it was a couple of hours ago. they can't get it out due to ice. bodies do bloat up in water:(

IDK about the K9 search today either. I think they've got a blizzard up there.

You guys read WAY more of these cases than me so forgive me if this in not accurate but isn't this what Misty Coslin ( sp) and Deborah Bradley have " apparently" done? Out of the two, surely one of those two is guilty and yet, it appears the child vanished , right ?

exactly. and LE knows DB is guilty but they don't have enough to convict, so they can't do a thing about it. SUXXXX!

Which is one of the movies we would watch...you know...the night we were together.

So strange....

Why would he seem choked up perhaps about the movie the night they were together yet not almost joking when he was talking about McDonalds which would have only been shortly before the movie and this came directly after that statement in the transcript? :waitasec:

"so we threw those in -- which is one of the movies we would watch that night … you know… when we were together… and… you
know…I mean there wasn’t a whole lot of things we needed.

We went to McDonalds. I wanted to go to a sit down restaurant -- sit down and talk to him. He wanted to go to McDonalds. He always wants to go to McDonalds. What 13-year-old kid doesn’t want to go to McDonalds? You know… wasn’t my first choice. We didn’t even eat it in McDonalds. We got it in the truck, went to the drive through and we’re eating it on our way home. So…"

I am beginning to think something could have happened directly after that text & not before. I still believe the phone is the key somehow.:banghead:

While I find MR suspect (mostly due to DR's cell phone stopping and that he was the last person to see DR), he comes across to me as not being articulate and maybe a bit shy.

All I can say is if MR had something to do with his son's disappearance, he pulled off a near-perfect crime... so far. Be assured LE is keeping an eye on him, but it's been nearly 3 months with nary a solid clue. Sounds to me that LE is either building a case OR they are stumped. MOO.

You have to love that old saying,

Give a man enough rope and he'll hang himself !!

I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one seeing these strange inconsistencies in MR's interview. It's just strange.
I personally still don't think Dylan ever made it to MR's house that night.

I see MR as being as of average intelligence. I don't think this man is lacking in intelligence at all and I never got the feeling he was trying to impress the reporter except maybe when he was bragging about he and Dylan being closer than Elaine and Dylan. But I don't think that was said for the reporters benefit.

I dont think Dylan made it there either!

I don't think he made it to the house either. what I wonder is, did MR drive all night to drop DR in a river canyon near CO Springs? (as if to say to ER - you'll get your son back but not alive) We have not heard the ID on the body found in the creek in Fountain CO yet, but it doesn't look like they think it's a local accidental drowning. it looks like it's being processed as a big crime scene and they have no missing persons reported there.

there's nothing on any of the DR FB pages (FMDR, DR News, or Calling MR) about the body.

I'll admit that thought crossed my mind! Wasn't it an adult male though?

I don't see one thing wrong with MR's discussions in the uncut interviews.

Have lived in different parts of the country and still travel to many regions of the US. They all talk differently. Yes, there is correct usage of words for all the grammar police. But, there is also colloquialism, differences in speech due to educational levels and socio-economical conditions.

Trying to dissect every single word the man uttered is not getting us any closer to finding Dylan.

I'm still with some of the others - stranger/rso abduction or unfortunate accident when Dylan was outside by himself.

Hitting the thanks button just isn't enough. I'm the queen of colloqualisms. I'm called on it here a lot when I use them. People want links for them. I caused a big 2 page discussion by using "right off the bat" when it was a week into a what is now going on 3 months. The only this goes on, a week is "right off the bat."

I use a lot of eupherisms as well. I'm a Leo so I speak in double entendres. It gets me in trouble a lot because it's not what I SAY it's what others HEAR.

Everyone who met me MIL thought she was filthy rich. She just had that way about her. She grew up in a small town, where her parents owned the grocery store. Her brother owned a gas station and a flower shop. They were considered among the wealthy in town. Yet the get out of Kansas and come to the Los Angeles area of Southern California and they were middle class. But she had grace and style, held herself well.

I think if he did it, something happened after McDonalds and before they got home. I think this is why there is no evidence and some think if he did this he committed the perfect crime. I don't think IF he did something to Dylan, that he transported him anywhere. I think Dylan is where it happened and somewhere between Durango and Vallecito. And closer to Durango. JMHO
I do feel like the 8:01 texts were probably Dylan and obviously LE has those pings. Where was the phone pinging? In Durango or Vallecito or somewhere in between?
I think the 9:37 text was not Dylan and probably came from MR's home. I've asked over and over if cadaver dogs were used on MR's trucks or home and never gotten an answer. I don't think the dogs that were at his house that first night were cadaver dogs. There would have been no reason to bring in cadaver dogs at that time. They thought he might have ran away at this time. So the dogs must have been scent dogs brought in to track his scent. There would be no evidence of a crime in MR's vehicles if the crime happened outside the vehicle and he was not transported anywhere.

Misty was involved in the missing Haleigh Cummings case.

I wonder where cell service cuts out going to Vallecito? MR said they got take out & ate on the way home. I can't remember if Dylan was texting between 7:22 & 8:01? If he wasn't why not? Eating, begging to go to his friends, out of service? Did they stop maybe where he works to eat? If not they were probably very close to MR's house at 8:01.

Another thing that bothered me is MR said he wanted to go sit down somewhere and eat but Dylan wanted McDonalds. So why not compromise and sit down and eat inside McDonalds? Why eat it on the road while driving?
I think IF MR did it that it's possible that they drove thru, got their food and went to a nearby park or somewhere to eat. Maybe to toss around that football? What ever happened to tossing around the football? Yes it would have been dark. Is there a park nearby that's lit up at night or maybe the football was a glow in the dark ball? There are a couple of parks near McDonalds that are right on the Animas river. Just a thought....

The comment he made was about TV being on nickelodeon after he came home.
Obviously the assumption is, the TV was off when he left and on when he came back.

Sorry if this has been mentioned already, I'm a bit behind.

I initially read it that the TV was off when he got home (as well as when he left), but when he turned it on, the channel was set to Nickelodeon. I see how it could be read a number of different ways but I still think this is one strong possibility.

Melissa Blasius:
"So did you do payroll… a work payroll thing… so you went down to the office and then anything else you did in Durango that morning?"

Mark Redwine:
"I spoke with my divorce attorney ‘cos we were in the process of filing some papers with the courts …in regards to you know the divorce side of stuff."

I have to wonder if MR had to get salary information in order to file payroll garnishment documents with the court - because the physical custody, and thus child support, was changing. Wish we knew what the before-move/after-move child support was.

That's a very good thought. Yes, I agree and it makes Mark seem vindictive, that if they can't go to a decent restaurant fine, we'll go through the drive-thru. I can believe at this point, things aren't peachy-keen & tempers are starting to flare. Maybe they didn't go right home, but if Dylan made those texts at 8 they were somewhere that had service. Love to know where that ping was. I will guess that if it was close to Durango it would give a more precise location then it would Vallicito but that is a total guess.

Hiya Annie!:seeya:
I know exactly what you mean in it truly appears that there are more and more cases that all have similar dynamics of minor child "disappears" within the "family unit". and not just disappears, but I mean vanishes into thin air.. Haleigh Cummings, Hailey Dunn, Kyron Horman are the top three of these similar dynamic based cases that I m speaking about.. there seem to be more and more and I only name these due to they are ones that I've actually followed from the get-go...

..and yet here I am EXACTLY 4 YEARS LATER, TO THE DAY OF WHEN HALEIGH CUMMINGS VANISHED(February 9. 2009).. NEVER TO BE SEEN, HEARD, OR EVEN SO MUCH AS breadcrumb left to follow and find her....JUST GONE!(many who know her case know in all truth that little Haleigh's remains are literally unrecoverable..they are no more..)

And to make matters so much worse is the fact that just as you mention above it very much seems that those responsible for killing these children(moo is yes, they are all deceased) all remain unpunished, uncharged, and many free to continue their lives as if these children never even existed... of course in Haleigh Cummings case several of the individuals who IMO killed her are jailed on UNRELATED drug charges... but they, just as all of the other monsters who've snuffed out the lives of these beautiful children...all of them just keep their mouths shut and IMO hope that everyone else will forget about and move on from focusing on the child's disappearance...

IMO its not "perfect" crimes committed, atleast not in the literal sense of perfect, but yes IMO in a very real way the murders have been able to remain unpunished AT THIS POINT IN TIME.. These perpatrators are NOT genuises...they're NOT brilliant..and hell in some of these cases I'd dare say that their intelligence is not only below average, but some well below average and the same too for their emotional maturity level...yet they've managed to go for years unscathed as far as being held in any way responsible for killing a child(in some cases their very own flesh&blood child)...

Its frustrating..its angering...and above all else its flat out WRONG that a full of life child with their entire lives yet to live are stolen from them and stolen from those who love them the most...yet the murderer continues on living their lives..no accountability whatsoever...no answers to the crucial, critical questions of what, when, how the child of which they had in their physical custody just vanished into thin air..

I mean the list truly goes on and on from Haleigh Cummings(4 years ago TODAY)..Hailey Dunn(over 2 years)...Kyron Horman(almost 3 years).. Ayla Reynolds(over 1 year)...Baby Lisa(1yr and a half)... Isabelle Celis(coming up on a full year)...etc..etc..etc.. because the list just goes on and time just keeps passing without their little bodies found, brought home, and laid to rest..their families left in the hell on earth limbo of JUST NOT EVER KNOWING...and those responsible continue to walk through life with zero accountabiliry, responsibility, or punishment for having snuffed out these young lives and hidden and/or disposed of their remains in such a way that has allowed the children's bodies to remain UNfound....

How?...I really wanna know how this happens?...how this continues to happen?...so very sadly Dylan's case in most ways is not at all unusual...spectacular...or perfect ..sadly murderers are getting away with these crimes for years and sometimes forever.. My God how I pray that Dylan will not be another name added to the list above where 4 years from now I'm looking back in disbelief at HOW? HOW COULD HE STILL NOT BE FOUND.. just like I'm here doing today in looking back 4 years ago today knowing Haleigh vanished 4 YEARS AGO..The [unusual people] that IMO are responsible are far, far from what most would see as criminally sophisticated, smart, or savvy yet here we are no Haleigh, and no one held responsible..

Sometimes its flat out too overwhelming and I have to step away from it all.. these precious, poor families don't have that luxury of being able to step away for a little while..not even a minute..its their life, every minute of everyday AND its their child that's still missing..how does this continue??...how??

Believe me I understand exactly what you're saying, Annie...its truly baffling...just baffling..

I'd like to know if Dylan's prints were on the DVD they purchased and/or on the DVD player. That would go a long way in determining whether or not he made it to the house that night.

Is it vindictive? My kids around his age would choose McDonalds over a sit down meal!

And I'm not sure about the timings, but perhaps Dylan turned down the idea of a sit down meal when it was mentioned, as maybe at that point he was still making plans to see his friends, so thought a drive-thou would be quicker.

Or if MR had already said it was too late to be going to see his friends, then perhaps Dylan preferred to just go back to his dad's and watch a dvd rather than sitting down and eating - esp as he'd had a long, busy day of travelling.
