Huh? Coming from the east, Colorado Springs does come before Vallecito. I've yet to see anything that says he drove a tractor trailer. If you have a link for that, please post.

If you listen to the uncut interview, that's what he stated coming from the east,
He also make reference to working 14 hour days, that's the DOT allotted working hours in a 24 hour Pierod. The company that been linked to him employs over the road drivers, I'm not sure if their company or leased on Drivers, plus his commenting being away for two weeks, and the distant states he's traveled with Dylan brings me to that assumption.

Exactly!!
I've been on t.v. once, did not have to say a word, but it was about a 5 min. segment and it felt like 5 hours!! I was so nervous and stiff, and people who saw it said I looked like somebody was pointing a gun at me, my eyes were big as saucers. If I had been told I had to talk, I would have fainted, I'm sure. I could never go on one of those game shows, or talk shows or anything else, I would probably pass out from fright.
I guess I should explain. I worked in a large beauty salon at the time, and they had 'bought' a spot every Mon. on our local t.v. station to advertise. I modeled a hairstyle. The owner of the salon described the style and slowly swiveled my chair so viewers could see the sides and back of my hair. That was it. I probably looked like an idiot, it was an experience that I never wanted to do again!!!!

Thanks for the chuckle. I was chosen to be in an educational video being made for other teachers years ago - it involved collecting some classroom footage and then teacher comments afterwards. I was petrified and as I spoke could hear how lame my comments were. Months later when the video was released, I was only featured in a few working classroom shots - I'd been cut! :tears: You and your saucer eyes still made it onto the screen :)

I've listened to the interview, several times. He said Dylan wanted to come back to Vallecito to see his Bayfield friends, but coming from the east, they hit Colorado Springs first so it didn't make sense to come back to Vallecito.

Anyway, I don't work on assumptions. There's nothing that says he was an over the road driver, nor that the road trip was while he was working. MOO

The information about the Dr. Phil show concerning MR is rumor and speculation because it didn't come from MR and it wasn't reported in MSM. It was a statement made by a unidentifiable person on a FB page. The statement just somehow grew a lot of legs.

If it is clarified by MR, then I will believe it is more than rumor.

Regarding the perfect crime. I have no idea why people think there is always evidence. Maybe they watch too much CSI.
There was virtually no physical evidence against Scott Peterson, for example.
The only thing found was hair in the pliers. And since there is such a thing as hair transfer, that is not even highly convincing evidence.
Obviously something happened to Dylan yet apparently there is no evidence of anything. But I don't think he was abducted by aliens.

But Scott was not arrested till after Laci's and the baby's bodies were found. In this case there is no body and a no-body case is very hard to prove without some physical evidence. They need proof that someone is dead, and they do not have that.

I bolded a different part of the quote above.

Everything is open to our own interpretation - especially when things aren't clear due to poor writing/reporting (since joining websleuths it's really hit me how bad some reporting really is - and I am talking about journalists craft here) or due to not so eloquent speaking.

Anyhow - what if the message intended was that Dylan asked his dad about visiting RN, but the bolded portion wasn't describing the actual time Dylan asked - but rather when he hoped his father would take him.

So after a discussion about what they need from walmart and what's for dinner ...

Dylan: Dad, ok then but can you take me to Ryans tonight after we've been shopping and eaten? I really want to see my friends.
Dad: Nope - it'll be too late. I'll take you first thing in the morning.

I know this will be seen again as making excuses for MR. But obviously our brains or our experiences make us see things differently. I read things or see the interviews and am genuinely surprised to read how differently they have been interpreted by others - some people go off on tangents that would never occur to me, and obviously I do the same (as do others) and my "tangents" head off in a completely different direction.

I hope nobody from the family reads here, I really do. How awful to see your every word, blink, nod, breath, expression and action placed under a microscope and analysed and shredded in a public place. Horrendous if on top of all the humiliation, it also happens to be untrue and you are already suffering the stress of having a missing loved one.

I thought what you're saying, too. But I just read that going to Walmart, then McDonald's, then on to Bayfield would be the out of the way route anyway.

MR said in his interview that DR liked to hang out at the campground down the street from his house. Were there any campers at the time? Did anyone check out the day DR went missing?

Are there any hiking trails in the area that DR might have decided to go on while waiting for his dad to return from his errands? Could he have fallen off of a cliff somewhere along a hiking trail? (I have seen this one the news before.)

Has the river across from MR's house been checked all the way to the lake?

Are there bears or mountain lions in the area in November?

Did anyone come to Vallecito to apply for a job on the day DR went missing?

Did anyone in Vallecito have company visiting for the day/holidays that might have left the day DR went missing?

Just some thoughts....

( Elaine Redwine said she and her older son have been pleading with Dylan’s father.

“Dr. Phil is offering to put us on this Wednesday,” she said, referring to daytime talk show host Dr. Phil McGraw.)

Were all dumpsters in Vallecito checked on the day DR went missing?

Did any <modsnip> acquaintances "disappear" for a day the same day DR went missing?

Were there any delivery trucks in Vallecito the day DR went missing?

Did anyone close up their home for the winter season the day DR went missing?

YW! I should have added that I was about 22 at the time... a LONG time ago! If they put me in front of a camera now and told me to speak more than a few words, I would sound like the Texas Southerner that I am. Y'all would be laughing your heads off! :floorlaugh:

Are there any caves in the area? If so, DR could have found one and gotten lost or fallen in one.

Is there a history of meth labs in the area? Could DR have stumbled upon a meth lab in the woods?

Have all the ponds/lakes in Vallecito been checked? Or just the large one?

Is there a dry-dock for sailboats or boats in Vallecito? If so, have the boats been checked?

Just brainstorming here....

I imagine LE checked every angle, as soon as they learned about the tone of this divorce.

I don't see anything in that article about three weeks, or that MR declined or that the Dr. Phil show won't happen without him being on it. ER can just as easily go and get the message about Dylan out there on the show whether MR is there or not.

<modsnip>

There's not a confirmed link, I'm making that based on prior discussions about possibly being a Truck Driver, after listening to the uncut interview and my knowledge of being a former over the Road Driver, I'm 99 percent positive he drives a Tractor Trailer.

She can, but I imagine Dr. Phil would want to go over everything from the last night, etc. in detail, otherwise he could just show Dylan's photo. And ER was not there.

I am not only thinking about the tone of their divorce, but the possibility that someone on that end (Elaine and Cory's) knew DR would be with his father, but that that person was not sent to get DR by Elaine and Cory. Know what I mean? The person, unbeknownst to Elaine and Cory, had improper designs on DR while he was in Elaine's care and then followed him to Vallecito. It isn't hard to find MR's address on-line. Anyone could easily find out where DR was going to be staying by doing a simple search on the computer.

Yes, there is a route going from airport to Bayfield but one wouldn't go through Walmart and McDonalds.

IIRC, from MR's earlier interview, he said the channel was on Nick when he *turned on" the TV that Monday afternoon. In other words, the TV was not left on.

As far as I recall, the article simply said TV was on Nickelodeon, not that MR turned anything on.
