I think that was just what he was going to say if he was caught by someone.
Its just a thought!

That's an awesome thought! It would definitely give him an alibi, so to speak. At least I think it would. If questioned by LE as to why he was in the area, he could say looking at houses and then ran out of gas.

Alibi for what? He isn't suspected of anything. Assuming he actually exists, eh could very well have been looking at houses and then ran out of gas.

Someone I know, just told me the same thing the other day. They said they don't watch the news because it's to depressing. I admit, I have to take a break every now and then myself.

Feeling kind of relieved I'm not the only one! I've done this before too. I felt kind of stupid when people brought up news stories I felt like I "should" know about but it was surprising how much ignoring the news improved my mental health. I realize that reading here is probably really not helpful, but I'm glad to know I'm not alone on the news watching front.

An alibi only IF he was guilty of something. He may, indeed, just been looking at houses.

Thanks for these articles. I had read the commentary on one of the Durango Herald articles (can't remember which now) about how Dickinson's retirement was announced recently but I had not done the research to confirm. I believe there are only three judges who hear family court cases in the area. T

My first thought was maybe Judge D is feeling culpable, seeing how he made a ruling that possibly resulted in Dylan's disappearance. I wish I knew whether LE would confide in the judge if they had suspicions regarding MR.

Okay so do both Elaine and Mark have PI's working for them?

Elaine has Bobby Brown the bail guy who used to work with Dog the bounty hunter. There are a couple posts on his facebook.

I would like to think you are correct with this one, because if you are it means Dylan is most likely alive and just being hidden somewhere. JMO though.

I really think its possible why would a perv take all his clothing and a fishing pole? Ill bet you MR bought a fishing pole Sunday night at Walmart!

JMO

What are the chances MR will Vanish in the near future?

TY BEC !

'''Redwine didn't come out and say her ex-husband Mark Redwine had anything to do with Dylan's disappearance but she does believe he knows more than he's telling anyone.
“I think that those last hours that we can account for Dylan are crucial. I have so many questions and no answers. And everything that he is saying is so uncharacteristic of Dylan,” Redwine said.''''

Like what I wonder? The lack of texting or something else?

The two of them (MR and ER) seem to have an opposite opinion of what Dylan would or wouldn't do. For instance, ER said waking up was not a problem for Dylan. MR claimed he couldn't wake him up despite trying for prolonged period of time.

Sort of O/T: Hispanics have been in Colorado since the mid 1800s. In fact, the name Colorado is Spanish. There was a large influx of Mexican immigrants in the 1940s for agricultural workers. And the state has the same recent immigration populations today that most western states have. I'd like to point out, Hispanic in Colorado does not necessarily mean "recent immigrant."

Thanks ColdHands! Very interesting. I hope I didn't post/perpetuate any incorrect info. I know this is silly but I think living in CA and having grandparents in Texas both make me think of higher immigrant populations being in the "border" states.

Also that whole description of the person they want to question seemed so vague. I could probably go find you 10-20 men who fit that description without driving very far. In my mind I thought it must be a rarity to see someone matching that description in that area.

If he had someone come and take Dylan from the home then when asked Did you harm D
or do you know where he is he can truthfully say NO. But the Q that would get him is
are you in any way responsible? And this could come back inconclusive as i see it.

I would have concerns about any parent of a missing child being ask this question (worded that way) on a lie detector test.

The reason being is every parent feels if they would have done something different it wouldn't have happened. They blame themselves and feel responsible to an extent. Of course they are not, but it's normal for a parent to say "if only".

Jessica's mom may have said to herself, I should have never let her walk to the bus by herself or if that question were ask to ER on a lie detector test, it may come back inconclusive because she wishes she never would have let him get on the plane.

Well the admin's been posting away everywhere else about what a son of a gun Mark is, so she could have taken out 3 minutes and dropped a couple links on FMDR for Dylan's sake.

JMO
For Dylan's sake?.. You are assuming that the family shares your opinion about this new "tip"..maybe they don't..maybe they know and have known about this so called "tip" and they have reason to believe its in no way whatsoever related to Dylan and they don't want to allow the side tracking to begin and continue, as is known to happen when certain PI's become involved..

IMO LE HAVE NOT STATED ANYTHING RESEMBLING THIS "TIP" BEING INVOLVED IN DYLAN'S DISAPPEARANCE..

MOO is that was it not for this "PI" flooding the local area and social media with the "tip" then LE wouldn't have even made a comment about the tip, period..

the invitation for any/all who were in the area, saw, have pics PR vids have been asked for months to come forward..and this "tip" isn't the first..IMO there is specific motive for it being flooded..its muddying the waters further.. Baby Lisa's parents know this tactic well with their "PI"

there could very well be damn good reason they have intentionally chose to keep the "tip" mud from being slathered all over the official FB..

Yep, it's obvious that they are deliberating choosing not to post this. It's a news article, from a legitimate media source, sent out by the sheriff. Ridiculous.
yep and for all we know that deliberate reason is a damn good one!

The whole Hispanic male thing is just LE covering "tips" and dotting their "i's." IMHO. Cortez and Ignacio reservations are right by Durango and there's lots of Native American/Hispanic males around. My first thought upon hearing this "new lead" is Susan Smith's story of a black male......

Mark Redwine's divorce from Elaine was FIVE years ago. Who the heck talks like this as an opener about his SON being missing while being gently asked questions (kudos to Melissa and her gentle, non-interogrative questions):

"We were inseparable. I mean… anywhere I was he was right there beside me. You know, he would come to me before he would go to his mom. You know... I think in many ways that was part of the problems that developed in our relationship was because while she was out earning a career, it was very difficult for her to lose sight of the fact that she wasn’t there bonding with Dylan the way I was and I think that that was a huge problem for her. And I think that that has been a problem for her for a long time now."

LE has barely commented on this case, so I highly doubt they care about the PI telling people on FB about it. They chose to inform the MSM and the rest of the public for a reason.

They will post about Mark refusing to do the Dr. Phil episode, but won't post the news article about the witness? Doesn't make any sense.

No, you are assuming that I am assuming something I'm not. I don't know WTH Dylan's maternal side of the family is thinking.

I have never followed a missing child case before so I am looking to WS for this answer.

Have there been any cases where the FAMILY thought the dad was guilty and later it was proven that he was not?

I know there are many times when public opinion puts the guilt label on the father/stepfather and it turns out they were wrong. But has the immediate family ever been wrong in that way?

It's really bothering me this week that both ER and AZG feel MR could be involved and now I am back on the :fence:

In an answer to your question, No, ColdHands and IMO its a totally different ballgame in having your family members believe you are involved..vs..having the public's opinion believe you are involved as many have stated in their answer to your question..

This isn't about public opinion, this is about family members, some of them flesh and blood, who all know him better than anyone on this earth..For them to believe it to be strongly "possible" he's involved.. well..IMO it is what is one of the only dynamics of this case that sets Dylan's apart from so many others that in many other ways are quite similar..

jmo it speaks volumes.

So in cases where the family supports the possible suspect...does that mean they are not guilty? It has to go both ways.
