Maybe they did. LE sure seems to think this is a valuable tip, and they want everyone to pursue it. They put out a press release. I'm following them. They want to find Dylan.

If LE thinks its a valuable tip, and that tipster contacted LE back then, I would think LE would have started to look for this person back then.
It's now almost 3 months later. How confident this tipster that he or she even got the date right?

While I agree that it needs to be looked into I'm surprised that some are assuming he has something to do with Dylan. We don't know at this point.

Imagine how the family feels about what?

It's not that he necessarily had something to do with it. He could be a witness and not realize it. He could have seen something that's important, or that LE can use to figure out something important.

In a case with no leads, this is big!

Assuming he actually was there on Nov 19th, that is.

I want to help Dylan. I'm going to do everything I can to help find this guy so LE can talk to him and see if he has helpful information. I won't discourage people from helping to find this guy. I won't take this chance away from Dylan.

It seems obvious that LE is confident that the tipster is remembering the dates and details correctly. What is the harm in finding this guy? He needs to be found and questioned IMHO. Not because he necessarily did something to Dylan or knows anything but who knows?

How does a Hispanic male that was out of gas in any way suggest that "Dylan did make it Sunday night to MRs and left in some capacity on Monday AM"?

Because the man they say may have seen something related to DR's disappearance was purportedly seen Monday AM and not Sunday night. If it is true that this man exists and did see something, it suggests that the timeline shifts to Monday AM regardless of who is ultimately responsible.

"In some capacity' means 'in some capacity'. There are a few 'capacities' in which one could leave someone's premises.

However, I am inclined to believe that if this turns out to be true, that the capacity with which Dylan left was 'alive and voluntary' or at least 'alive'. Which then perhaps turned into something else that this man may have peripherally witnessed, or at worst was directly involved in. Just theorizing, of course.

Also could be this tipster remembers the day because DR ' ran away' and then maybe left the area and like most of the country has done, didn't hear much or think much about DR . Maybe this new flood of national media attention, although not too much, caught this guy's attention and he says "
omg , they never found that boy ? i better call in that I saw that guy ''
Something along those lines could have happened.

But in the same article they are asking people that may have seen anything Sunday night into shortly after he disappeared on Monday to call the tipline.
This man could have just been looking at property in the area as he told the tipster. He may not have seen anything. I'm not real hopeful but I definitely think he needs to be found and questioned.

I am not discouraging anyone from finding this guy. However, the general description of him will fit millions. Unless he comes forward, how do you plan to help finding him?

Or they may not have thought it was important? Or MO the PI might have been questioning neighbors of MR and was told this by a neighbor? Or maybe MR told MO the PI that his neighbor said he saw this guy and LE didn't even check it out? or maybe or maybe or maybe... Who knows? But it does need to be looked into IMHO. I don't think LE would make the statement if they didn't feel the tipster was credible.

Well supposedly he was out of gas, so gas stations, tow trucks etc would be a good place to start. Maybe get a vehicle description from there? Maybe a receipt for gas or tow truck? Realtors and people with properties for sale would be a good place to look also.

How do you remember an exact day you saw someone almost 3 months later?
Maybe the tipster had a specific reason for being in the area where he saw the man.

"As I recall, I was in the neighborhood that day to see my doctor (dentist, lawyer, fortuneteller)."

Gas stations have video. But they usually tape it over. So three months later it will be gone.

We won't know until he's located and questioned. I'm hopeful though. He could have seen another vehicle in the area, or seen Dylan walking and what direction he was walking in. There are all kinds of possibilities. And some of them even would exonerate MR, wow. Who'da thunk?

Good question. the description is very vague.

Well, maybe the person will come forward and say "Hey that was me," and this will all blow over quickly.

Or maybe someone will say, "Hey, I spoke earlier in the month with a guy that was looking for rentals but he never showed, and that was actually the weekend before so I didn't think it was related. Here's his phone #."

Or maybe someone will say, "Hey I saw a person like this with an RV in Durango Sunday morning. Looked like he was heading out that way. Here's a description of the RV."

Made all of that up of course.

If nothing else, this gets more media coverage of Dylan and that's a good thing.

I don't believe there any lawyers, dentists or fortune tellers near MR's house.
It appears to be in the middle of nowhere.
I think that tipster is one of MR's neighbors-just guessing here, so don't ask for for a link, please.

Or his girlfriend and he didn't want his wife to know??? LOL Hi Bessie. :)

this is true... but that being said LE most likely has video from the days in question and can review it again frame by frame (an early article said they had one team dedicated to reviewing such data)

And it beats having to go on Dr. Phil and duke it out.

who said the guy was sighted by MR's house?

It said north vallecito

Investigators interviewed someone last weekend who remembered seeing the man at the north end of Vallecito on the same day Dylan was reported missing.
