oh gosh, can someone link the article or twitter of Melissa, the reporter's, info about LE and the cell phone?
TIA

:floorlaugh: No need...forget it! I thought there was a direct quote I had missed at a previous point. I'm good.

Correct. And I'm fine with that. I'm not ok with people saying Mark has Wi-Fi in his home without any proof.

We are all on here speculating of course, but LE knows which is the main thing.

(“I do a lot of things on my own,” said Redwine, a truck driver. Among his other activities, “every time I get (back) into Durango, I talk to other truck drivers” to have them keep fliers in their rigs, he said.)

There was a lot of discussion concerning the type of work the Father does, i commented he was most likely a Truck Driver, I located the above article.

This case has little hard evidence for us to chew on. I'm not so sure that LE has more than we do. But I could be wrong. I hope that LE is close to solving this one.

Thanks Ronald. It looks like Mark is some kind of truck driver.

Maybe someone else could take some time to look at the uncut MR interview again. There are two devices that could possibly be a tablet and a laptop. The thing that could be a tablet is on the sideboard up in what I guess is the dining space? Behind the table against the wall on what looks to be a pulled-out shelf. The thing I think may be a laptop is in the living room next to the tv on top of what looks to be a red bucket with a trash bag. It could be a DVD player though.

Also I have no clue what the small thing on the tv stand to the left of the tv is.

My eyes just gave out for the night after staring at everything in that video for 40 minutes.

I recall someone asking about this yesterday (I think - maybe the day before). Thank you for going back and finding the source.

I thought Wendy the dog gal already said she had gotten a hit on the lake but did not think Dylan was in there. Can't find the link now. Anyone else recall this?

Here you go: http://www.gazette.com/articles/forensics-150683-boy-monument.html

“I don’t believe that’s where he is,” Kessinger said. “I looked at the lake. I was there already. One of my dogs gave me an indication in one area that I’m going to check out, but I’m going to sit and talk with the family.”

The closest reference I could find as far as LE discussing a computer, was on the NG transcript:
GRACE: OK. So his whereabouts are accounted for. Question. Sergeant, was there any activity on the home telephone or the computer while Dad was gone?

BENDER: Those are things that the investigators have looked into, and I don`t have that information.

This does not state "MR has a computer" definitively, but more implied.

I have not seen or heard anything to make me feel the least bit confident that LE is close.

Thank you. And yes I said IMO! As in this is my opinion as to why LE might think that Dylan made it to the house. IMO the 9:37 was sent via the iPod not the cell phone.

Unless MR sent it wanting other end to think it was dylan?

But...when did LE state anything about cell phones? I only remember Bender mentioning once on NG was there there more?

National public radio CO Nov 26th -
The La Plata County Sheriff’s Department says the boy’s cell phone has been turned off for several days, and they can’t track it down.

Nov 28th -
“There’s a combination of factors,” Bender said. “There’s been the passage of time without any sightings; Dylan was not a visitor but had friends here; he has a history of staying in contact with his family and friends; and there’s been nothing on his cellphone record since he was reported missing

9news article Feb 1, 2013 -
Investigators say Dylan's cell phone has not sent out a signal since he vanished

Gosh, Dylan has the same number of threads as Holly Bobo now, and she has been gone close to two years. And there really isn't any more info on Dylan, maybe less. At least in Holly's case, it is known she left her property with an unknown male.

I can't imagine how many threads Dylan might have two years from now.

http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1212/03/ng.01.html

GRACE: Elaine, is there a landline there in the home?

REDWINE: Yes, there is.

GRACE: So if he wanted to, he couldn`t make his cell phone get a proper signal, he could have used the landline to call his friends, right?

REDWINE: That would be my assumption as well, yes.

GRACE: Do you know if there is Internet in the home? Does the dad have a laptop or a desktop?

REDWINE: Yes, he does.

GRACE: Did anybody get any e-mails from Dylan?

REDWINE: Not that I`m aware of, no. I certainly didn`t, and I don`t think anyone else did either.

I was thinking tonight that a boy of Dylan's age would be much more likely to have run away, or even to have come to harm via an accident while exploring, yet those two scenarios seem to have been dismissed very quickly by LE.

I wonder if not for the drama between the parents if this case would be so "active" here on WS. I was reviewing some cases here under "missing" and found several other teen boys who are missing and did not even fill one page of posts. They have been "written off" as runaways.

So, if nothing else, thanks to LE's decision to eliminate a few scenarios, and MR and ER battling it out, Dylan has received an enormous amount of attention here, and far more in the wider world, than most teenage boys. And yet, there seems to be no evidence of a crime. Except for the absence of evidence, and of Dylan.

Anyway, 3am thoughts...

But according to LE, there was no activity on the phone after Sunday night. So that's not possible.

So, does that mean just no texts out, or does it mean no texts received either?

If its a case of no texts being received since Sunday night, then Dylan wouldn't have seen the text from R asking where he was early on Monday morning - which could explain why Dylan didn't reply, as he didn't know R was awake and wondering where he was.

So, Dylan wakes up, assumes that R is probably still asleep seeing as he hasn't woken him up at 6.30m - and then gets himself some cereal, intending to text a bit later..... but something stopped him?

OK now Nov 26 he says cell has been turned off for several days
several to means a few days 3 maybe so if he went missing on the 19th his phone was still on.

nothing on his cell phone record since he was reported missing. Thats 6pm
monday evening.

Then in feb they say it has not sent out a signal since he vanished.

So what is it?

NO activity to me means Activity by Dylan. this is what suspicious to LE and his family. I think his phone was still on Monday Morning!
