The only reason that I can see for Dr Phil to praise JB's writings is because they made an agreement to do so before Jose would go on his show. In other words Dr Phil only does things that help enrich Dr Phil's bank account. MOO.

I guess we agree to disagree. Thank you! :great:

MR is no longer a part of ER's 'family.' He is still a part of Cory's and D's family.

Did Hess qualify her post by saying ER's family? I will go back and read but I don't think so. jmo

Wonder which ex-husband I "should" refer to as being part of my family....hmmmmm
I guess I'm a terrible person, too, because I don't call either one of them "family".

Hal Boedeker must have missed that part.

I am trying to find it on the thread about the show. There was a long discussuojn about it. But apparently it was cut off of the west coast reruns of the show. But it was seen on the original broadcast.

I have a good idea to get some fresh perspective. Could we all find one good friend or family member we have NOT already discussed Dylan's case with to watch the dr phil show and tell us their thoughts after? Ideally it would be someone who knows nothing about it and you dont' discuss one WORD with them prior to it except ' i've been following this case and would like your input' . I think for someone who hasn't been glued to every detail and every word, we might get some interesting findings. After it you can ask ' where is Dylan and how did he get there ' and see what they think. After that initial answer of theirs you can sway them with your own arguments if you want. I know I would , but if we don't do it before, we would get real pure perspective. Right?
Thoughts?

Well I am a member and I watched the show and he handed the book as he always does and the man who got the book was thrilled to death. I am sure that there may be video of the show if you doubt what I am saying. jmo

I don't doubt what you are saying at all/

I am just repeating what was discussed on the thread about the show. I will try and find it. [ But I am on the way out with DH to go have dinner at our DS's new house with his fiance. ]

To say a book is ' well written' is really not any kind of an endorsement of the person who wrote it. JMOOOOO

I believe she was and has been speaking on behalf of ER's family. Not MR's. It would make sense to me that she worded it that way. JMO.

I do not consider my ex part of my family in any way shape or form. Who does? And my first ex and his family (father/family of my daughter) I refer to as my daughters family on her father's side. NOT my family.

Ya know, this really isn't all that important in the grand scheme of things. Dr. Phil is a talk show host. He would be expected to be gracious, polite and respectful toward his guests...especially at the end of a show, when he SHOULD thank them for their time and appearance on HIS show. Anything less wouldn't be considered decent....no matter what his personal feelings are toward said guest. I'm pretty sure Dr. Phil has dealt with plenty of people over the years that he didn't like personally. It is what it is. :floorlaugh:

Personally, I'm just happy that Dylan's face will receive national coverage....and I know you are too!

Perhaps she was referring to the part of the family who actually has been reaching out to national media to get Dylan's story featured.

And perhaps she could have worded it as "the rest of the family" are ready. Semantics really. The people who reached out and made this happen were ready. The person who has not done anything of the sort was undecided when approached.

That's a fun idea. I will try to think of someone that I think is sharp when it comes to reading people. Not all are good at this and some are just completely naive and gullible. I'll have to give this some thought.

Hinky that he would bring that up without provocation, eh?

MY FAVORITE PART - Dr. P holding the book like it was crap at the end of the show, barely showing the cover - and then holds the book with the spine view backwards................but then he does his usual walk to get Robin and looks as if his hand is being contaminated carrying the book ------------> He TOSSED THE BOOK TO SOMEONE IN THE AUDIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never seen him do that in all the years I watched his show. The poor guy who caught it snickered as if to say - ' oh sure, give it to me to toss in the can on the way out.'

Faces of audience members were priceless. I didn't see one face that bought his act. So, I guess we will see a small ripple in the sales from the free copies? Right now, 4 hours after the show aired EST and the numbers do not show the kind of bump that a book normally does.

I just loved how he tossed it like a contaminated hot potato!!!!!!

True but it's still a kudos.

I don't even think that Dr Phil read the book. And if he did I feel sorry for him. MOO.

I think Dr. Phil has about 2 million fans on FB. I would take a guess that 95-99% of them do not know who Dylan Redwine is before the show. It would be interesting to read comments on there after the episode airs.

Actually, I was going to email my friend in Florida. We were in the Bahamas & saw the lst NG show on Dylan. She wrote me not to long ago asking if there was anything new, because she wasn't see any press etc. I am going to email & let her know about Dr. Phil so I will ask her to let me know her opinion afterwards. She watches a lot of ID, crime shows & some NG but does not read on here, FB, etc. I am interested in her opinion anyway.:giggle:

Bingo. Semantics is what it is and it is semantics that is hanging MR for a lot of posters here. Every word is disected and commented on. jmo

I wonder how much they will share on details. I have a feeling not much. They were concerned with possible evidence being disturbed etc. I'm sure they will give general updates but I don't know that we're going to get specifics. And I respect them for that.

Oh, I respect them also. But like I said I wonder WHERE they will start their search
by Mark's house
the lake
McDonalds
Florida Road
or
totally some place not previously searched??

I have often wondered why they never (if they did, not aware of it) searched east/northeast of the lake.

I don't know who posted that, but once again I say find the video of the show and watch it. He even had the computer examiner on the show who said that he reported the mistake (84 searches for chloroform) to the prosecution and they did nothing about it. I am through, just find the video. ty
