That is true! And I am still very angry because he refused to take it!! It wouldn't matter to me who gave the test, if I agreed on national t.v. to take one, I would go through with it no matter what, because I know that by refusing it, I would look guilty as hell!!
I cannot imagine why anybody would want to make themselves look even worse than they do already.

Because he can NOT take that test!
He will fail!

this to me is the only reason he wont take it!

for me in florida its cbs at 4 pm

Funny.... it comes on our NBC affiliate here, but at the end of the program they flash a picture that says it is CBS Productions.
I seem to recall that up until a couple years ago, it came on the ABC network.
Confusing.

Right, it's so weird and stilted sounding.

I think what jumps out at me is when he says, "And that's the struggle we all have" or in a couple of other interviews (like DP), "And that's the question we all have to ask".

I know people use all kinds of words, but these two sentences are just so odd and stilted sounding to me. It's such a round about way of asking, where's Dylan, it's like he can't bring himself to say that.

MOO and all.

By using the words 'we all' he is deflecting any blame away from himself and putting it unto others.

LE should not be worrying about a crime scene in the lake if there is a chance to recover a body. If there is a body there, it may not stay in the same place as melting occurs and they had best get to it while they can. Chances are nothing of the crime would be right there with the body anyway.

OMG, it is a yes or no question. What is wrong with this man...

MR has said that LE has not asked him to take another poly.

Now if you fail or have an inconclusive i think they tell you you can and probably should take another. and if i was totally innocent and had an inconclusive id take another one to clear myself.

I have a feeling LE has caught MR in some of his lies and thus trust the poly and know he wont pass another one

It's on a different network (ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC) for everyone.

You know after they sent the divers in they were sending helicopters over the lake for a while weren't they? We're they hoping the body would eventually float up? Does that happen?

I think it's a difficult task to search a frozen lake but I don't know that it's impossible. I know divers recovered Samantha Koenig from a frozen lake in Alaska. Of course I have no idea how much the altitude and depth etc have to do with the risks and whether it's even possible there. Where is diveguy?

Yes, there were helicopter and boat searches on the lake a week or two after the divers left. I think LE is stalling until they can do a more thorough search, but most of the time I believe they "know" who did it and where Dylan is. They just need to be able to "prove" it. I think the weather and $$$ is hampering them.

But how would your child act if he had traveled 300 miles to see his Father and was excited about seeing and spending time with his prior best friend / friends ?

Probably no different than he always does. But that was not my point. I was just saying that not everyone's kids do the same things, and basing an opinion on one's own experiences with their own kids is not really fair.
Not going into who is telling the truth here, because I don't know Dylan! Maybe he always got up on time at his mother's house but didn't at his dad's. Who knows?
My stepkids used to sleep until noon during their visits here in the summer. They never did that at home, according to their mother.

You mean search people? Why ever not? Why not find him right now, if he is there and people are willing? I have never heard of the concept of leaving a body "unfound" one second longer than necessary.

ITA. Nobody would want to leave boudy unfound considering the evidence is destroyed the longer body stays unfound.

That's just...... unbelievable! Sorry, can't wrap my brain around that one. That would sort of scream premeditation, wouldn't it? There would have to be a motive to do something like that, and I see no reason to believe he planned to kill his son.

I don't know what you're getting at with the camera laying on the table. Many people leave them laying around. I have one right in front of my t.v. on the entertainment center. Unless there are pictures of Dylan falling over the edge of the guardrail or something, I don't see what that has to do with anything, sorry.

I totally believe MR actions were premeditated, After receiving news of Elaine being granted full custody, MR was upset picking Dylan up at the airport, Dylan appeared unhappy Disappointed in the Walmart Pic,

Dylan was not allowed to meet his friend Ryan that Sunday night and spend the night knowing MR could've left him with Ryan since MR was going to get up Early Monday morning to drive back for appointments,

it literally made zero sense Dylan not being allowed to stay with Ryan, yet MR wants the world to believe he left Dylan alone on a couch early Monday morning, and upon his return was going to drive Dylan to Ryan's Grandmothers house ?

That MR wanted to sit down and have a meal Sunday night, yet Dylan wanted McDonalds Drivethru. My how convienant they grab food while driving back to the house as if MR was in such a big hurry to get home. WHY ?

They arrive at MR house around 8:15 - 8:30 PM according to MR,

pass a football according to MR

Dylan runs upstairs to retreive DVD player to watch a movie according to MR

They watched a movie called adventureland with a 107 minute run time, 13 minutes shy of two hours.

arriving home around 8:15 - 8:30 PM passing the football, hooking up the DVD player to watch a two hour movie that MR doesnt even remember what it was about, im sure he's read up on it now.and MR stated he went upstairs to bed around 10:30 PM.

All the above within 2 hours 15 minutes if believing the 8:15 arrival time.
All the above within 2 hours if believing the 8:30 arrival time.

Dylan's cell phone all activity ceases that Sunday night,

TELL THE TRUTH MR_ SOMETHING HAPPENED_ AND YOU KNOW THE TRUTH !!

I do not believe they ever told him it was inconclusive, just as I feel certain he was not told that the person who gave it to him was not qualified. I think he was told he failed, period.

Exactly!

THEY KNOW!

They dont need MR to take another poly.
they know he failed and they know his replies
they dont need TES.
I still say the fishing pole they found was hisI think they saw on sonar.
they will remain silent till they can go get this young man!

JMO

They need warmer weather.
BBM and just jumping off your post kind of. Interesting. Here's a theory, I hope I can make it make sense.

LE guesses or knows that the pole was planted by MR because MR had been pointing out about the fishing pole being missing and so LE figures he's trying to build an alibi. But they tell everyone it's not Dylan's because they figure it will force MR to divulge more because MR will think his alibi building plan isn't working?

I hadn't thought much of the fishing pole before, but it would be very coincidental to me that they found a fishing pole that just happened to belong to someone else after MR had mentioned the possibility of Dylan having a pole.

Is it possible LE has known all this time but knew they couldn't get into the water until spring? IDK, that would seem unusually cruel to put the family through, plus would LE waste all the resources they have since they first went into the water putting on a facade of going on searches and manning phone lines?

Someone pages back questioned the notion that Dylans phone was "old" and implied that it was a rumour that had grown legs and been perpetuated here - sorry, it was in this thread somewhere but I can't recall who the poster was. Anyway regarding this - IIRC Elaine mentioned that Dylan wanted a new smartphone, as he had "outgrown" his little flip phone. IMO if he outgrew it, it would be safe to guess that he had the phone for more than a few months or so. I'd certainly not be expecting my sons to outgrow their phones in short time frame at least. There was also her reference to it "smoking" when he was texting a lot, which I never took literally to believe there was any sign of actual smoke, but rather that it may have been hot to the touch from overuse or something similar.

Mom never said it was old. That's been assumed and stated incorrectly multiple times, so it's taken on a life of its own. Here's her statement:

It was just a little flip phone.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1212/03/ng.01.html

A post said Elaine had stated it was old, which isn't accurate but has been repeated previously, so the quote and transcript were provided.

The use of the words "kind of outgrew" also does not necessarily indicate the age of the phone, or how long he'd had it. For example, last year I bought my son a pair of pants. He had a growth spurt and outgrew them 1 month later. The pants were new and in great shape, he hadn't had them long, but they were quickly too short.

Dylan outgrowing the phone could mean he'd been given a flip phone initially, but given his texting and interests, a smart phone was a better fit; ie, he'd outgrown the capabilities of the phone. For example, my hubby prefers a flip phone with the fewest extras possible. He texts very rarely, but finds it irritating that, depending on the letter he's typing, he has to hit the same button up to 3 times to "get to" the letter he's trying to type. So, it's possible Dylan got his flip phone in Nov, dove into avidly texting, and quickly wanted a smart phone for that, and to have one gadget w better texting, iTunes, etc rather than the flip
phone and an iPod.

The only reason I can think of would be if it is more dangerous to retrieve it right now than it would be later, when weather conditions are better. How windy is it there? Would there be a danger shifting ice? Doesn't the water temperature have something to do with how deep the body will be in the lake? I think bodies float better when it is warmer. We need an expert!

Ooh, you're absolutely right. I was focusing more on the words "struggle" and "question", but you picked up the more important part. That's why he's phrasing them that way.
