I don't think either of those organizations would look well upon their employees getting involved publicly.

But in general, no one seems to be saying much. No one has publicly admitted to the 9:37 text, no one has publicly claimed the fishing pole, no one has publicly admitted to being the kid that looks like Dylan walking on the road and no one has claimed to be the other boy either, no one has said they saw them come through at McDonalds, or saw them at Walmart or confessed they didn't speak up right away about the Hispanic man they saw that morning.

IMO

And I'm telling you, if I had witnessed anything, any of the aforementioned events, I would not come forward now because look how everyone who has come forward i.e. the mail carrier and the ex girlfriend have been raked over the coals for it. 1 being that the mail carrier and ex are the same, that they are mistaken, that they are lying. Why would anyone want to come forward and be the next to be shredded??? What about the kid whose parents would not allow him to be interviewed or have his name associated with this case at all?? They knew what would happen so they are protecting their child. IMO, JMO

When Wendy stated that they cut several holes in the ice near where the previous dogs had gotten hits could she just have been referring to the lake in general and not a specific spot in the lake? And her dogs actually hit in a different spot in the lake? I'm so confused over this whole thing. She specifically said EAST side of the lake not North. I have a feeling it's closer to the 5 branch campground then Mushroom lane but I'm definitely not sure.

Ok, since my iPad was being nice and didn't crash, looking at the map if the first dogs hit at the dam (south end of lake) and Wendy's dogs hit at the 5 branch area (north end of the lake) does that mean 1) a body made its way from the north end to the south 2) there are multiple bodies out there 3) a body was moved 4) the dogs were wrong?

This is if the hits are in fact at these areas.

I thought 5 branch referred to the north end up there, but then someone suggested it was over by the campground on the east side?

Did you go away Sarx. I also wanted to mention if you were to walk straight down the river from MR's house you would end up at the area the dogs hit. There is also a pull off from CO 501 right there.

The way Wendy worded having many hits in that area confused me. I couldn't tell if she was talking about just in the water or around the water and the river area.

I thought the dam was where the first dogs hit, early on. And, I thought Wendy's dogs hit on a separate area, east and south of where MR lives. My head is about to EXPLODE.

And could Bender be referring to the lake in general also in his statement when he talks about prior hits?

Yeah I'm with you. I sure would not want most of those people to know my real name :(

But would you have in the early days? before the drama got so big?

This is why I've been so confused about the lake. I knew the original hits and dives were at the dam at the extreme south end. Then Wendy says she got hits in the same area. But this is a huge lake and the northeast or extreme northern side is not where they searched if the article is correct. I even remember seeing pictures of the boats and divers at the dam. Is she just talking about the lake in general when she says 'same area'.

I have to honestly say that until this case, I've never had a problem being on the internet. My facebook wasn't wide open but I had pictures of my kids and stuff on there. After this case, I will never be so open. I have learned a lot from being here.

or did she cut holes near where her dogs has previously got a hit?

Again, quote from Wendy, I posted the link above:

"We had a couple of hits in that area," said Wendy Kessenger of K9 Forensics. "What we did is we moved it closer to east side of lake where the five branch rivers flow into each on that side and we had many alerts going off there."

Where the five branch rivers flow into each

I was under the assumption that the K9 forensic dogs alerted near were the La Plata Search and Rescue K-9's alerted back in November.

If they are totally different areas that changes things.

Can we get some mapmakers up in here? I gots to get up early for a baseball tourny in the morning and I can't go to sleep without knowing what's up.

I thought the dogs early one hit on a spot near the dam and Wendy's dogs hit on a different area..... Help a sista out.

Well that's the way things sounded but I knew the divers were at the dam on the extreme south side and it doesn't sound like that's where Wendy's dogs hit. I've heard 5 branch campground and also where the 5 rivers meet at the extreme northern side of this huge lake. Neither is close to the dam. Thus my confusion.

Maybe in the beginning. Maybe not, especially at a place like Walmart or McDonalds. I would assume since I saw him then others would as well. As it was, they had video of Walmart that proved he was there.

For all we know, LE talked to those people at his work and questioned them as to the time he showed up and what his demeanor was, if he looked hung over and like he tied one on or if he looked fresh, showered and put together.

LOL, holy cow, I had to run and feed the farm and bam!

Ok, in regards to LE, I think there is generally a whole lot of information that the public is not privy to, and they may very well have their reasons for their decisions and without knowing all the information, I'm not going to judge their decisions on this one.

To the question is it possible that there is a body or something upstream and the scent is wafting down? Yes, it is. Generally if you are looking in an area with a current like that, you would travel upstream and see where else if anywhere you get hits, which should either narrow down the area or eliminate areas. Not knowing if these dogs are trained for water searches or not though, it's hard to say. Keep in mind as well that the rate of decomp is going to greatly slow down in water that cold . It's going to change what the gases do. Which is another training issue.

In terms of ashes, again, training. Needless to say that's gonna be a different smell. Dogs can alert on pretty much anything they've been trained for, but they have to be trained for that particular thing. This is why some dogs can find really fresh deceased and some can find really really old, but not all can find one or the other.
