Ok well then let's say the entire family is cleared!
Well, then you go to the guy who was in the area looking at the rental house, the guy the family states is "cleared" already.

Ok I am not really comfortable with LE saying they've 'checked' ' spoken' to all RSO's in the area. Spoken to? Wrote down an alibi? Or actually looked into that alibi and called around. Was the guy really at work, hospital, mom's house or did you just assume he was and didn't really call ?
LE says that guy is cleared if I remember right.
9Wants to Know also learned from investigators this week that they found a man that they were seeking as a potential witness to Dylan's disappearance on Nov. 19. However, he was not able to provide any new information to help the case.
Okay - I'll play. Only I'm going to extend the "suspect" parameters by saying Let's pretend ALL family has been cleared of any involvement. Where do we go from here?
Dylan is somewhere very close to home? Maybe had an accident?
Dylan was picked up by someone on his way to find cell reception so he could make a phone call - he didn't want to text - he wanted to talk to someone? (this is speculation only)

Then how come you'd be comfortable with LE saying that the guy looking at rental houses has been cleared? Just playing devil's advocate here. LE is very serious about RSOs.

I must have missed this yesterday. Interesting column on access to records.

There is also the RSO in NM that killed himself after being on the run. He had removed his ankle monitor and did not meet with his probation officer which resulted in a standoff.
This one here has always caught my attention.
And to answer to your question the vagueness of this tip on the out of the woods wandering dude with gas can never sat well with me as far as a 'viable' tip . Just seemed to vague and it made me think the tipster's memory was off or they were grasping at straws. Not sure about that .
