Numerous court records/reports (by both ex-wives) and verified statements by AZgrandma has been seen by LE and reporters (and some here) that show Mark's past violent/controlling behaviors.
I believe them.

Tulessa take a trip downstairs to the PL thread, where Tricia's last weeks blog radio show is discussed regarding this case.. then it becomes beyond sad and disturbing..
I guess that's my point. If we knew nothing about MR (and had never heard him speak) and knew nothing of the family dynamics and Dylan was found quickly at the lake and with MR's account of the fishing pole being gone, then many of us and possibly LE might just assume it was a horrible drowning accident. Perhaps that was the plan?
JMHO
Remember that Dylan followed on the heels of the Jessica Ridgway case also. I would think the whole state of Colorado would be concerned about any child that was late for dinner at this point.
Even when the case is solved, it doesn't wipe out that fear or the realization that it could happen in your own community, kwim?

In the world of a deteriorated mind, that scenario to fool everyone would make perfect sense. Perfect sense in a psychosis and perfect sense with a deteriorated brain. Like fake ransom notes and such......... It bothers me that people have trouble accepting that brains are organs which deteriorate over time. And faster with substance use - whether with a prescribed medical cocktail or with self-medicating.
About the confirmed arrival at MR's house: early on, someone who knew a lot more about cell phone towers and pings than me wrote that because of the scarcity of cell phone towers in this area, it was doubtful than a ping could be pinpointed. The ping could be narrowed to a general vicinity, but no closer. That makes me believe that a ping wasn't involved in the confirmation. Perhaps a neighbor or passerby witnessed the arrival. Maybe Dylan's text/IM/e-mail was accessed by ipod and the wifi provider's records would reflect that. I also wonder about the "clothes left behind on the sofa" in one of the earliest news reports. There's been no further mention. Wouldn't these clothes have been able to be used for scent or taken when the search warrant was served? All MOO
I think during the search LE took a pair of sweat pants (unsure of Dylan's or Mark's)
Many of us who have followed this case from the beginning have speculated that at least 2 of MRs motives were revenge on ER and to escape child support. Taking DR away permanently could satisfy the revenge aspect and DR having "an accidental drowning" would also stop child support as soon as they found his body. The fishing pole would have corroborated this "accident" theory. Plus the "accidental drowning" - if his body is recovered - would also keep MR from having to look over his shoulder the rest of his life wondering if he was going to be arrested.
If anybody witness the arrival I fail to see why police wouldn't have said so. I mean, it was reported when mail person supposedly saw Dylan (which she was wrong about). So why not report that someone saw the arrival?
Clothes were left behind in one story. In subsequent interview, there was nothing left behind. I personally don't know what to make of that at all.
Jumping off your post.. MR did say on the Dr. Phil show that LE took sweat pants... jMO since it has been said Dylan's belonging where not there and ER had to get some things from CS for the LE with Dylan's scent.. That leads me to believe they where MR's pants..JMOGood question. I would guess the sweat pants were MR's. Why those sweat pants? Is that what he was wearing in the Walmart or Airport video or what he was wearing when he went to the Marshalls office the next day or ??
yes if Dylan not having a coat was really a big issue MR could have bought one while they were at Walmart, strange considering he made it an issue on Dr Phil.
