Do they have that kind of relationship?

Yes, ER has worked hard to keep all of the boys in each others lives. I applaud her for that.

  • #462
How is that related to this case?

The best bet is to go back to the beginning of this particular part of the discussion, read forward and then it should be clear.

In cases where the immediate family are not under the slightest bit of suspicion, the families of the missing almost universally say that they are frustrated at the lack of information they get about the investigations. EH would be no exception. While she and MR both may have been asked not to disclose something, by no means do I believe that either has the inside track on the inner workings of this. I wish they did. I wish we did. But that would be folly for the real investigators.

I believe if you listen to the first interview Tricia did with ER I think you will find differently.

For those that wanted the information/all MSM articles on sightings/unconfirmed sightings of Dylan

IMO that would make sense to ask him about Dylan's belongings that he might have brought with him, example - backpack, if they were looking for a scent item for the dogs.

True, but don't you think he would have wondered about Dylan's belongings, long before 48 hrs later, when asked about it by LE?

He says he was asked by LE 'to stay home' and wait to see if D would call or return home. During those 48 hrs in his home 'waiting', it never occurred to home to look to see if D's backpack was there? Or if the cell was there, or his $ or wallet?

If my young kid was missing I would immediately wonder if they had their cell and any money and any clothes with them? How could he sit in that house for 48 hrs and not look to see if the pack was still there? Didnt he wonder if he had a hoodie and long pants with him? How did he decide what clothes to list as him wearing if he never looked at the clothes he packed?

And wasn't Dylan supposedly camped out in the living room? How hard not to notice the backpack wasn't on the couch or coffee table anymore?

I believe in Tricia's previous (lst) interview with ER, when asked about the text didn't she say LE didn't want her to say anything? Why they did said I don't know. It could be to ask her something about it, like maybe is this a good friend of Dylan's or are these Dylan's normal text phrases?

If you are asking a question, then I do not recall her saying that at all. I could be wrong, admittedly.

Are you trying to make the argument that EH really does have the inside track?

How did "later", not immediately, a day or two turn into 48 hours? For real if it was 48 hours, more people are at fault than MR.

She did as far as that went, what else who knows? I was suggesting possible reasons LE may have shared that information with her.

WAIT.

How did Mark decide what clothing to list on the MISSING poster, if he NEVER LOOKED to see what was missing or not?

Mark said himself, that he did not think to look to see if the backpack was missing, until 48 hrs later, when LE 'posed the question.'

Yeah, and what about the sweatpants seized in the search? And the monster drink emblazoned sweatshirt that no one has seen or listed as part of his clothing?

So technically people who haven't even met each other can be considered to be stepmom and stepson and it has nothing to do with any kind of relationship.

I'm not sure who you are referring to when saying people haven't even meet each other. EH and my children have obviously met years ago and she cared for them during their visitations for years, you did see the picture posted with Dylan, Er, CE, my son and grandson. So yes, they have met. not sure where you determined they never have met. Then again, i guess i don't need to justify anyone relationship do i?

It equates to "the first day, maybe even two"

:cow:

Yes. LOL. You are very correct. Is that possible? To be "very" right? In any case, Yes! Yes! Yes!

I agree, I was trying to figure out if this lent a timeline for when the backpack was first brought up.

I think EH knows way more than any of us can imagine.
She knew MR failed that poly longggggg ago.

I grabbed this from DLC's post 2 pages back:

06-02-13
Tricia’s Radio Show
T: When did you first find out that --or is it true that all of Dylan’s clothing and his iPod are missing?

MR: Well, to answer your question with a yes or no answer, yes, that’s true, but to clarify that, it wasn't ‘till, you know, a short time that law enforcement was aware of what was going on and was involved and I know that they immediately brought in some dogs to start tracking ya know, his movement, and try to figure out the direction that he was headed, and the question was posed to me, is his backpack here? and I'm like well I don't know, let me go look for it because I ..that's not something that I was looking for…so you know it probably took ..I wanna say the first day maybe even two before it was determined that yes, his backpack was not here..my only concern was Dylan and what have we got to do to find him…and where is he?

There was actually another "missing" poster very early on. I never saved it and wish I had. It was on Facebook and posted on a friend of marks dog grooming site. It listed marks number as the contact and said he was wearing jeans. I followed this case from day one...and have continued just silently because of all the drama on Facebook and here. I have always wondered who said to put "jeans" on it as we haven't seen that since.

How the heck, in any way, would it be a bash at Mark, for Eliane to consider his sons her stepsons? I see it as a compliment, as a tribute, as a gracious thing to do. The ultimate bash would have been for her to cut them off and act like she 'divorced' the boys.

I must be really missing something here. I see that as a very gracious thing for her to say, and not a bash in any way whatsoever, JMO.

Your not missing anything!
This is what they do!
