Now that I'm thinking about "night fishing", I am reminded of comments by Dylan's mom that he was more of a "generational" kid into technology and modern stuff and not into the outdoor stuff. I wonder if she had a specific reason for "putting that out there"? Maybe that was the only way she could say that he would NOT have walked to that lake to go fishing, or hiking in the wilderness, or anything along those lines that might account for an unfortunate "mishap".

I have stated several times they need to go back to the water. I dont know why i feel so strongly or why i am even stating it. I just would feel better if there was a more thorough search of the water. I get that task could be daunting.
It needs to be done very soon, too, because temps are getting colder. They might have to wait until Spring.

A thought I've been having...What if the body was weighted down? I'd mentioned the possibility earlier that rocks or bricks (something of that nature) were placed in his backpack, which was still on his back. I've heard of bodies that were weighted down with cinder bricks eventually washing ashore. How long would that take and under what conditions.

Oh, it hurts just thinking about all of this. My stomach literally hurts. I just hope Dylan is found and this doesn't become a cold case. :(

You know what I just realized from your post.... they did rule out local RSO's. I think there were 2 in the immediate area. So they have ' ruled out ' someone,,,,,,,,,just not the parents.....yet . Curious .

Did they really? Do you have a link? Or do you remember roughly how long ago, what day, so I can search through the dozens of bookmarked links I have? I don't recall reading anyone being ruled out though I do remember reading there were 2RSO's in the immediate area (read that here on the threads).

Not insinuating anything at all but it's weird I guess that they wouldn't "rule out" mom who was by all reports at home in Colorado Springs. But this could be pointless in their eyes to even address, as if she's not even considered ... ahh I don't know how they're handling anything at this point really.

Happy sleuthing; night

Dylan, where are you?

Right, Bender the Lt for Sheriff said we know he arrived in la plata co and after that nothing is known.

And that has bothered me, because I really thought it would be easy to track them to a drive through for a quick hamburger and to a grocery store for some supplies. I would think there would be video cameras at one of the destinations, or at least receipts from the store showing he bought soda and chips and Reese Cups, and that would also help LE know which cashiers to question. But it seems the silence about that is deafening, imo.

Have we figured out when this ruling was on the visitation and custody to mom was handed down from the judge? TIA

I do not have a link. I just read everyone else's links. It was yesterday it was discussed on the thread but that does not mean it was reported yesterday.
Maybe I'm using the wrong term, maybe it was said they did not believe they were involved vs. ' ruled out'. But either way there is little focus on the rso's in the immediate area. I suppose that means nothing about an RSO that is 15 miles away. I hope there was a link. These threads fly by so fast I cannot be certain any more :( . If it'sa rumor, my apologies .

Per this Facebook about the search for Dylan/vigil, LE contacted all RSO's in the area.

AGREE!!!!
Kidding. If you're weird, then so am I and a few other people. Dad seemed to show more restraint towards her than she did him. That tells me a lot about his character.
I read the transcript of the interview. I found nothing odd about anything he said. He wasn't putting the focus on himself, he was trying to bring the focus back to Dylan, and the reporter kept asking him questions about himself or why his ex was blaming him. He didn't take the bait. Smart man.
These reporters just slay me... the things they ask a person just to get something juicy. Sheesh!

He wasn't putting the spotlight on himself rather than his son when they gave him carte blanche to say whatever he felt needed to be said? Here's that part of the transcript:

R: This is you guys' platform today. You can use this to get out any message you want.

M: Well, I don't want the focus to be mainly on me. I want the focus to be mainly on Dylan because that's where, that's the most important thing right now.

And you know, if the process of what's going on with the authorities and the people handling this is to search my home, all the had to do was ask. I would have willingly let them come in. I've given them, I've cooperated with them in every way. Anything they've asked me for, I've been willing to do. Anything they suggested I do, whether it be sitting at the house waiting for the phones to ring or Dylan to walk through the front door, I'm willing to do whatever I need to do.

And that's what I want everyone to understand is that, you know my focus is on Dylan and what's going on with him and trying to keep the investigation moving forward in whatever necessary means that is. So, you know in cooperating with them and we can you know, keep the focus on the search for Dylan. And that's where I'm at with all of this.

Not sure if this was posted, it is a timeline for Dylan, I am playing catchup like crazy. Anyhow I did not know that Dylan was supposed to meet his friends in Bayfield at 6:30 am ?

Timeline of events in Dylan Redwine case

Day 1: Sunday, Nov. 18

Evening: Dylan arrives in Durango from Colorado Springs after 6th Judicial District Judge David Dickinson issued a court order granting Mark Redwine, Dylan’s father, visitation rights during the Thanksgiving holiday. Dylan sends his mother, Elaine, a text message that says he has arrived. Elaine Redwine tells The Durango Herald that Dylan’s text message ended with an emoticon that was interpreted as a scowl.

Day 2: Monday, Nov. 19

6:30 a.m.: According to Dylan’s friends, he was to meet them at this time in Bayfield. His friends say he did not show up.

7:30 a.m.: Mark Redwine says he left his house to run errands in Durango. This is the last time he saw Dylan.

11:30 a.m.: Mark Redwine says he returns home and finds that Dylan is gone.

2 p.m.: A postal worker may have seen Dylan walking on County Road 501 near Vallecito with another boy. Both reportedly were wearing hooded sweatshirts and had black backpacks.
Afternoon: Mark Redwine checks with Dylan’s friends when he does not find Dylan at his home and notifies Elaine Redwine that the teen is missing.

6 p.m.: Mark Redwine calls police to report Dylan missing. Shortly after, La Plata County Search and Rescue begins searching for Dylan in areas near County Road 500, where his father lives, north of Vallecito Reservoir.

In a recent media report (sorry, don't have the link handy, but it was discussed at length yesterday/last night) the alleged sighting of Dylan being seen with another boy has been ruled out. I believe it was concluded that the boy who looked like Dylan was not him, but was an older boy.

I feel the same way. Not sure why but I really believe that little boy will be found in that lake. I hate it. I wish I could get it out of my head but I can't.

I'm predicting an arrest in this case soon, but I could be wrong.

I read it as referring to him texting mom before he disappeared this time. The arrival post with the scowl, I guess.

Jinx! :)

Sooo......this account does say that MR was upset that she had recently received primary custody, according to ER. That's definitely a stressor. Dylan's physical move far away is one. Not being able to go (easily) to kid's everyday life things like sports games, school conferences and programs, etc., can be very sad for parents (although I'm not sure he went to these anyway when they lived locally). Most probably having child support increased very recently would be another stressor. And to top it all off, Dylan didn't seem to want to be there with him even for the very little visitation times he DID have. Seems like lots of emotional stress to me.
