He didn't deny it according to what was shown on that video. So the headline is worded strangely. He just said he was surprised, but wouldn't argue it publicly.

I think IF he had passed, he would have gladly said so right then and there.

Agreed! He couldn't deny taking one as we have this
Both parties took a polygraph early on in the investigation, Shupe said, but authorities cannot release results

But he was originally charged with child abuse and menacing. how does someone get charged with menacing TWICE in their lives? I don't think I know anyone who has ever been charged with that. It seems suspicious , imo.

IMO, it may illustrate a pattern of behavior, which may or may not be relevant to Dylan's disappearance. As far as I'm concerned, it's relevant to the current circumstances until it's not relevant.

MR is the one who says he got himself a lawyer. We can speculate on what lawyer told him to do or not to do, but he says he got himself a lawyer. So we don't have to speculate about that.

MR said he spoke with a criminal defense attorney, not that he HIRED one.

This is really sad. What ever happened to a person being innocent before proven guilty??? What happened to BOTH Dylan and his parents are considered VICTIMS until someone is named by LE as a P.OI???

LE has been specific in stating that MR is NOT a person of interest.<mod snip>

I don't get talking about stuff that happened a decade ago is relevant with this disappearance. Where is Dylan?? What happened to him??

Especially since it's been reported somewhere (sorry, don't have the link handy, but if anyone else does that would be great) that MR is out of town a lot due to work. IIRC, I believe ER stated in tonight's NG episode that she thinks he works in some capacity as a truck driver. I have no idea what MR does for work, but if he's a long-haul truck driver, that would put him out of town for weeks, if not months, at a time, which would make regular visitation very difficult.

Trying to keep an open mind to various possibilities.

Here is the link. Dad says he is out of town for work, but came back to pick Dylan up for visit. Jmo but possibly this could be why mom got sole custody. And sole custody means more money dad has to pay-which means more out of town work, vicious cycle. http://durangoherald.com/article/20121203/NEWS01/121209900/Family-keeps-faith-through-adverse-time--

Check out Drew Peterson he was beyond outta control

I do not follow Drew Peterson -- no mystery there! He is way too blatant and offensive.

Gotta love their Grumpy Old Man neighbor though.... "I go to church every Sunday,..... and they go somewhere else."

lol
I know, I also found what he said about ER helping him shovel snow funny. It read like he was begrudgingly giving her a compliment. Lol

Nevemind about when the custody was awarded I now see it was sept 21 and dad was unhappy that the court awarded mom the sole custody and the he received court ordered visitation.. Duh..what does he expect when the child lives with mom regardless of where and he travels for a living..seems to me that would be the only fair and just custody decision by the courts in the best interest of the child.. No surprise there..jmo.

Right on, Smoothie. I totally agree.

Why child support if DR is not found or worse (gulp)? I m sure that is the least of MR's worries. MOO.

My guess is that is not the least of his worries but his GREATEST worry. IMO

Child support is still due when a child is missing so that the primary custodial parent can maintain a home and support for the child for when the child returns. I'll bet MR hadn't thought of that.

Dylan, you are so very loved by a world of hearts that never even met you but yet FEEL you throughout all time and space. May you soar with angels and spread your spirit far and wide as we all wait to join in everlasting oneness with our universal source. <3 <3 <3

Nighty sweetheart, and to those who love and cherish you. May your loving family members find peace and comfort.

I understand what you mean, but if that was the case, why did LE drop everything but a relatively minor charge?

It seems more likely in this case that the police do what they sometimes do, decide to "play it safe" by placing someone under arrest and then letting the system do its job. I *do* know someone who was arrested under such a situation (and the charges were dropped.)

Sure, but those were a LOT of charges, and all over a broken toy truck. You have got to admit, he must have been really angry at the neighbor. Nobody would have that many charges filed against them over a fight about a broken toy, unless they were pretty out of control.

Imo, if the cops went next door to speak to him and he was calm and cool and apologized, he probably would have walked away with no charges at all. But that was a long list, so he was probably still steamed when they came by.

I can see why the charges were dropped down to disorderly, because he likely paid a big fine and agreed to cool down and apologized to the neighbor. It happens that way all of the time. My dad was a defense attorney, and he always assured all of his clients, right away, that ' HE' could get most of their charges dropped. And they were always happy because most of their charges were usually dropped. It just happens that way because of time and money.

I feel so sorry for Dylan. I know it's been said that he's a happy child, but how could he be truly happy when the adults in his life are so miserable?

This is really sad. What ever happened to a person being innocent before proven guilty??? What happened to BOTH Dylan and his parents are considered VICTIMS until someone is named by LE as a P.OI???

LE has been specific in stating that MR is NOT a person of interest All this libelous stuff on here about these people. How is THIS solving this case as to where Dylan is??

I don't get talking about stuff that happened a decade ago is relevant with this disappearance. Where is Dylan?? What happened to him??

As to the first bolded point, this isn't a court of law, it is a website. People are sleuthing and have opinions. If others don't agree that is fine, but nowhere does it say we are held to the same standards as during a criminal trial.

As to the second bolded point, please refer to what the mods have posted. I've attached it below, for your convenience.

Important Changes to the discussion :

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. To be clear, the victim in any case we cover is the victim (missing and/or deceased child and/or adult). Dylan Redwine is missing and he is our victim.

We are going to open discussion on Dylan's father Mark Redwine although he has not been named a person of interest. The discussion however must have one foot in what is known in media reports and does not include sleuthing of property records, divorce records, etc. More often than not, we are finding that LE is reluctant to name a POI unless and until an arrest is imminent. However, the actions of LE may often times speak louder than words and for this reason, we are now going to allow discussion about Dylan's father.

Any questions or concerns with the above? Please personal message a moderator or administrator.

MR said he spoke with a criminal defense attorney, not that he HIRED one.

You have already been provided with a link that says he hired one.

I don't know what it says about her character or personality, and I don't know why it's relevant to Dylan being missing. I honestly believe she was trying to NOT answer the question regarding MR lie detector, and it came off as a jumbled mess. And based on the fact that if she was truly just out to bash her ex, the NG show would have been the perfect platform and opportunity for her to do so. She didn't do that at all IMO. I don't know why some people think she's somehow trying to hinder the search for her son. I just don't see it. And for what it's worth, I am still on the fence with the whole thing, so it's not like I'm defending the mom because I think dad is guilty of something. MOO

I'm way late on this, due to hubby hogging the tv earlier and having to catch the late repeat of NG. I, too, did not hear a vengeful ex-wife. She answered what she could, and didn't answer what she felt she couldn't. IMO, of course. That would be really hard to do with NG firing questions at you right and left :P I agree with you, if she was going to bash him, she would have done it tonight. The platform left it wide open for her to do so. But, she didn't. I respect her for that. I am also on the fence, but am wobbly... I don't like the wobbly, but I *really* don't like the amount of time that has passed, with no sign of Dylan. Feeling so jaded :(
