I watched it and just skimmed through a few pages of comments here. I am not an emotional person and I had tears in the first few minutes. Tears for Dylan and tears for Elaine. It is so clear to me that above all else MR has zero emotion whatsoever to the fact that his son is missing. The way he looked at Elaine was pure evil IMO. I thought Dr Phil was completely fair to both sides...as I thought he would be. He made it clear over and over that his focus was in finding Dylan and finding out what happened to him. The Mrs. Redwine comment was mean and he meant it to be just that IMO.
And I found this sentence so completely perplexing.
MR: No, Elaine!! I wouldn’t hurt him… what kind of mother are you to even think that I was capable of doing something like that?

He didn't say he DIDN'T hurt him he said he wouldn't hurt him. (disturbing)

And the 'what kind of mother are you to even think that I was capable of doing something like that?'

What does Elaine thinking MR could be capable of hurting Dylan have one iota to do with what type of Mother she is?

He makes the strangest comments that make zero sense to me!!!

I just keep saying this over and over and in my brain the sentence makes zero sense. ZERO SENSE! What rational person would say this? What does this have anything to do with what kind of Mother she is??? Someone please explain this to me.

As far as the alcoholism comment. I know a man who did the exact same thing. His wife was dealing with an alcohol problem and one night when she was drunk and unruly, he decided it was best to take their children and get them out of the house. They stayed at a motel for the night and he took the kids to school the next day. He wasn't "hiding" them from her, he was protecting them. Alcohol makes people do crazy things and it's best to remove children from the situation when a parent is volatile while under the influence. IMO, JMO and I won't apologize for it.

I wonder why Dr Phil allowed the postal carrier to come on his show and say that she saw Dylan when LE has said that there has been no confirmed sightings of him?

I think Dr Phil was trying to do all he could to give Mark's side of the story. Dr Phil was trying to start from a balanced viewpoint and go from there.

It's interesting that members on this forum were discussing the different Nickelodeon channels this past month, and MR stated it was one of the nickelodeon channels, instead of staying with his original statement of the tv being on nickelodeon when he arrived home.

Another interesting comment MR has stated concerning Dylan's backpack, Mr stated Dylan's cell phone was in his backpack with the other accessories ?

Why would Dylan's cell phone be in the backpack ? Teens would have it on them, But if a person was grabbing everything that belonged to someone else, they would stuff everything inside the backpack. This could explain how MR knew everything Dylan brought with him.

Why did the mail carrier never look at the camera? It appeared she was reading the words she spoke from a piece of paper in front of her?

Now he's saying when he woke up from his nap, that's when he started getting worried and started calling and texting Dylan. Earlier, in his MB interviews, he made it sound like it was in the morning when he was calling and texting and he really didn't mention that in the afternoon scenario.

I "specifically remember " him saying it was when he found Dylan's friends and the first thing they said is we havnt seen Dylan all day and "that's when it hit him" that something must be wrong.

Manipulating things in order to create "balance" when a young boy is missing? That's just not right in my opinion.

If we are going to point out all MR's speaking mistakes, we have to point out some of ER's as well.

When she says he text her and asked if she had heard from Dylan, she said it was very "disconcerning" to her. I know that's not what she meant because to be disconcerned is to not be concerned at all. I think she meant disconcerting. IMO, JMO and I won't apologize for it.

LE have known about the mail person since day 1.. it was not Dylan and that was established long ago with LE CLEARLY STATING THERE HAVE BEEN NO SIGHTINGS OF DYLAN.. believe me I hung onto that sighting for a long time as I once too was looking everywhere BUT AT MR.

IMO THERES NO DOUBT ABOUT WHO IS RESPONSIBLE AND MY HEART HURTS SO BADLY FOR DYLAN AND WHAT HE WENT THROUGH AND WAS FORCED TO DEAL WITH IN THOSE HOURS AND MINUTES LEADING UP TO HIS DISAPPEARANCE.. I CANNOT IMAGINE WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH HIS YOUNG MIND...THE ULTIMATE BETRAYAL!!

I disagree. LE said there were no confirmed sightings... which only means they cannot confirm that the mailperson actually did or didn't see Dylan with another boy. How do you confirm something like that? If I say I saw something but no one else saw the same thing, does that mean I'm lying? No... it just means I'm the only one who saw it and LE can't say for certain that I did or didn't.

Why would Dr. Phil even put that clip on his show if LE had already dismissed it? Doesn't make sense. When LE says something isn't confirmed, they are not saying it isn't true. They're just saying they can't prove it either way.

Whew finally caught up with reading this thread. I'm currently flooded in (literally) and not wanting to sleep in case the river rose over night - I was lost last night without something to help me while away the hours here! Any news on a site to watch this online?? Feeling very left out here - but thanks to all those who have been busily transcribing
Reading the snippets posted, it's not looking good for MR and I get why people are picking up on certain answers/comments MR has made. However, I have to say that reading those same comments in the longer transcripts kindly provided - they do come across slightly differently. Context again.

I feel that MR tries to use his "best voice" in interviews, using more formal words than he probably would in normal conversation - he's not helping himself at all because it's just not natural for him and he is tripping over his words and IMO confusing himself. Definitely very hard for a reader to keep following anyway.
The Mrs Redwine thing ... I have wondered if this is still officially ER's name? I know she is EH on fb, so have wondered why all along we have called her ER here? It does sound like a dig, and maybe an extension of him trying to sound formal (with a touch of sarcasm thrown in)
Any links to the show would be much appreciated - I want to hear the tones of voice, see facial expressions etc. for myself if possible. TIA

I do have to say that I think Dr. Phil was pretty well informed of the facts and the situation in this case. That surprised me a little. IMO.

After watching the show today I really had to take a break from this case for a few hours. It's one thing to look at facts and evidence and put together a scenario in your mind that seems to fit with the way you perceive them and then quite another to actually get to watch the person you suspect of being responsible behave in exactly the way you would expect them to if they are guilty. Any hope I had for Dylan to come home safe evaporated after watching today.

I had an idea of the type of person MR could be, based on the posts from AZgrandma and some glimpses in his previous interviews, but I was not prepared for that cold, smug, confident lying and manipulative behaviour so up close and personal I guess you could say for lack of a better phrase. He is very confident that he can outsmart LE and that Dylan will not be found IMO.

Some things that stood out to me...

ER says she called him right after getting the text and he wouldn't answer. He says no she didn't. I believe ER in this one. He didn't want to get ER involved in the first place and was hesitant about sending the text. You know he wouldn't have wanted to have that conversation right there at that time. Either way...LE know from the phone records how that went down.

Dylan was texting on something to the other friends in Bayfield after 8pm. ER is admitting to the 9:37pm time for last text. Was it the phone? If not, why not?

Dylan had no coat with him. So if he went out of the house, to make his way to Bayfield he did so with no coat and the temperature was in the 40's at the time.

The fishing pole story still stands apparently.

When MR says "we" picked him up. I think that is his manner of speech. He said the same thing about "we" got him to the plane when he returned from the last trip in September. Unless he has had someone with him both times.

I see the Nickelodeon information has morphed for a third time. Every time we point something out about how it doesn't fit, it changes. First it was tv on Nickleodeon when he got home. Then when we pointed out the programming it was "possibly on when MR went to bed". So does this mean it was on all night? But we also pointed out that the evening programming was no better. So now it was on one of the Nickleodeon channels. Which one? Oh I don't know...just one of them. But apparently the tv was actually on, not just the channel tuned in as the last one. Not buying it. Just like the movie they watched but MR didn't really watch because he can only concentrate on 30 minute shows and just knows it was a bad movie.

The mail carrier. Bringing her on was an attempt at throwing stuff up on the wall but for me that one's not sticking. She directly contradicts most of what he's been saying. She places Dylan in the area until an hour before he gets up to go look for him. So he was walking around with his backpack and fishing pole for a couple of hours...in the area? With another mystery boy. Which cancels all the talk of walking, hitching to Bayfield and abduction before 11:30am. Not to mention the possibility of ER being involved...which is unbelievable that he's throwing that out too...again, not sticking. And how often has Dylan been in the area around 1:30pm, especially on weekdays when the mail is usually delivered? How would she know Dylan better than the other boy who probably does actually live in the area? Or did the other boy walk the 20 miles from Bayfield to hang out with Dylan? You know if she saw two boys they've come forward to LE. If she didn't, what's her motive here? How long has she been a mail carrier in the area? Does she live in the area? How well does she know MR since no one else in the area seems to except for the guy he buys smokes from.

MR was probably told he failed the polygraph and he probably did. I'm sure that LE think the same as some of us and they see this as a possible accident. An argument gone terribly wrong. I'm sure they were hoping for a very sad and guilt ridden confession. MR showed them what he was all about I'm sure, and they backtracked to inconclusive to keep him co-operating. I'm guessing if he took one on Dr Phil it will be the same.

MR says he never laid a hand on AZgrandma. She's a liar according to him. She has nothing better to do with her time than go public with wrong information that I'm sure is embarrassing and horrific for her. She did that for Dylan. Her children's brother. To deny what he's done in the past is disgusting. To apologize for past mistakes would be the respectful thing to do. But I saw nothing respectful about him today.

He says he never put a dead rodent in ER's trunk. She's a liar according to him. That rodent just crawled on up in there and died I guess. FCA would be proud. After watching him today this seems like something he would absolutely do. And get great pleasure from it.

And of course the neverending dodging and weaving out of questions he doesn't want to answer. I'm sure his LE interviews are full of them. There are a few guilty people from recent cases on this board that this reminds me of.

And as always this is my opinion only.

The mail lady said she saw ' dylan' at about 1:30 .
Then when MR is explaining the day when he gets back and is not worried because Dylan may be at his friends... he comes home at 11:30 no Dylan and he takes a nap. Phil calls him on it and he says' the mail lady saw him' ........ but when the mail lady saw him it was way past the time when he came home and Dylan was already missing and according to his nap time, it was even after that . Right? Did I get that time right?
