Nothing really. During the telephone call, LS mentions I-95 and it got a rise out of AS because this interstate runs along the East Coast and down to Florida and LS keeps naming roads before AS tells her it's I-25 in Colorado. Ultimately, GS was found under or near a Florida bridge on I-10. MOO

His father's absence was for work, for a short period of time.
His father had custody for most of the time (I think the kids spent summers with their mother).
Their mother lived in a completely different part of the country.
It was school term time.
It was their home?

LS and AS were married, and had been for years. Why wouldn't the kids stay at their home under those circumstances? She was their stepmother, not some new temporary girlfriend.

Distance for one (NC/SC?) and the kids were both school-age and enrolled in Colorado schools. There might be MSM quoting LH as to why AS had custody but I don't personally recall other than they lived with LH when younger and per AS's testimony, spent summers with him.

I respect your thoughts on it. I wish I could express my thoughts on this better, and please know it's just MOO and attempt to further learn about aspects of NPD.

It's just that she suddenly started using the F-word in almost every sentence when she had not done that in the whole hour of phone talk. She went into some kind of rage or tangent. Something he said hit a nerve. She was reacting strongly and differently when Al asked her how she'd feel if it was Harley missing.

Some kind of feeling hit her then. Perhaps a deep shame in herself? Perhaps, a self-hatred? People want to say narcissistic people never ever feel, but that is not true every single way. Whatever she felt in that moment made her erupt in what I'd call narcissistic rage.

Shame is something buried inside themselves, and I think sometimes a narcissistic person hate the glimpse they get of themselves. Make them see themselves, or leave them, and Narcissistic Rage erupts. Grandiosity is one of the key defense mechanisms used to seek balance within themselves.

I can't explain it in depth, but I think this article speaks of the shame emotion.

There could certainly be a fractured personhood and a self-esteem dearth under her behavior but I think the f-bombs showed up only because she went defcon diversion. It's a strategy. It's very effective on 11 year olds ... it's exhausting for everyone else. IMO she was feigning umbrage, that Al could accuse her of such a thing. Plus IMO she was genuinely mad he wasn't responding as she expected. She tried it all. Fake reasoning, soft crying, cajoling, yelling, cursing.

And to be displaced from the home by LH, she probably felt her consitutioms were being violated.

i think she thought Al would lean into her.

It's a telling portrait in the courtroom. Even her own attorneys don't want to be near her.

Alone with the cesspool where a soul should've been.

Back from lunch break, we are about to jump into the numerous recorded phone calls between Al and Letecia Stauch.

Allen is currently talking with Al Stauch about Letecia Stauch’s claim that she was raped and Gannon was kidnapped from the house, a claim Letecia Stauch made just a few days after reporting Gannon missing. “My first impression was that it was a story," Al Stauch said.

Al Stauch is also talking about how there were several "different stories" that were told by Letecia Stauch in the days following Gannon being reported missing.

We're about 45 minutes into the phone conversation between Al and Letecia Stauch, so far, it has been Letecia describing her version of events leading up to her reporting Gannon missing. Prior to playing the audio Allen stated that the FBI walked Al Stauch through this call.

We're now on to the point of the phone conversation where Letecia Stauch is telling Al Stauch about how a man broke into their home and assaulted her before taking Gannon “My mind was completely gone,” Letecia Stauch said. “I tried, I didn’t know what was going on.”

She claims in the call that she hit her head and "blacked out." "You're treating me like a criminal," she told Al Stauch through tears at one point in the conversation. This call took place in Feb. 2020.

"Do you think I did this?" Letecia Stauch yelled at Al Stauch at one point in the conversation.

Eventually, Al Stauch asks Letecia straight up: "Did you kill Gannon." "Did I kill Gannon the answer is no," Letecia Stauch yelled in response. "I can't believe you'd ask me this... If you think Gannon's dead that's horrible.”

First phone call is over, and looks like we are wrapping the day up. There are more phone conversations that will be played tomorrow.

O/T -- for all Colorado Court/Trial watchers -- the Arapahoe District Court just denied expanded media coverage (EMC) on April 7 for defendant James Craig, DDS, citing how the Court previously allowed media coverage on March 23, 2023, and despite setting very clear parameters for that coverage, several rules were violated such a recording and disseminating audio from the hearing on that date.

So... be warned: don't mess with the Court when it makes exceptions to Chapter 38, Rule 3 of the Colorado Supreme Court Rules governing EMC in Colorado Courtrooms!

I ended up calling it a night around midnight BST, so I missed the very end but my brain couldn't take anymore of Letecia's shrieking lies. I thought it was very telling how the biggest reaction from her always came when she felt Al wasn't cooperating with her narrative. When he'd question her in any way, shape or form, when he'd bring the discussion back to who it was about (Gannon) or, ultimately, when he outright asked her if she killed him.

She yelled more about her fears of Al leaving her and "not being interested" in her anymore than she did about anything else, including Gannon, who at that point, was still missing. She is a very bad actress and lost herself repeatedly.

Trial began on 4/3/23 with opening statements.
Trial will be from 9am to 5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday each week. No Trial on Thursdays as Judge has other commitments. No trial on 5/12/23.

As soon as LS said Gannon stayed home from school sick, but she later allowed him to visit with a friend, I believed she was responsible for his disappearance. That came out in the early days, maybe even hours after he was reported missing through the media.
