Casey Anthony Attorney Reacts to Accused Kid Killer Letecia Stauch’s Claims of Retaining Him

Asking about different categories of mental illnesses in the DSM V and the severity of mental health disorders. I don't know where this guy is going with this line of questioning. Oh, okay. I see. He wanted her to confirm that someone can have such a severe case of a personality disorder that it impacts their day to day life.

Is this attorney testifying?

The defense seems to be covering everything but T. I guess we're just having a conversation about general psychology. Interesting for sure.

But why? I don't think it'll serve to fuzzy up what the jurors just learned about T. Malingering, maladaptive, narcissistic.....

She's a whole bunch of yuck.

Right? And Mr Young is going to come back and say as much, and then ask how any of the wonderful lessons that Mr Tolini has given us relate to Letecia, and the answer will be that they don't!. JMO

Tolini asked the psychologist, Dr. Jackie Grimmett, about Letecia Stauch’s phone calls with Al Stauch, previously played in court, when Letecia talked more about saving her relationship with Al than finding Gannon.

Grimmett says that behavior could be consistent with borderline personality disorder or narcissism, or the behavior could be caused by something else.

The jury needs to be reminded that the lawyer's long speeches and sports analogies isn't testimony.

Who’s the blonde yukking it up with the Defense team?

Her old attorney? The public defender?

Didn’t think of that, but she looks younger than the public defender.
JMO

Yes, yes, the "inadequate representation" attorney "in cahoots with the prosecution" that was trying to make LS look like a "perjurious individual." Seeing her would cause a double take!

Also in the letter, Letecia believes that a doctor who was sent to examine her was actually an actress or friends with the District Attorney. She explained that the lady spoke to her about the D.A. in an unprofessional manner. She thinks her attorneys did this to make her look like a “perjurious individual.”

It would seem that, after all these diagnoseseseses, that -- I'm sorry, Defense -- your client isn't even that interesting. She's just a terrible person.

Resuming cross.

Still talking about attachment theory. Secure, avoidant, anxious, disorganised. Is drawing a parallel to borderline. Are they setting up to blame LS's mother for Gannon's death here??

Tollini is talking about the hours and hours of phone calls. Witness: "I did listen to some pretext phone calls but I don't recall them being hours." Tollini: "You're lucky." Laughter. Oh wow, dude, you are the DEFENSE.

Is he trying to say you can be a 'little bit bipolar'? Okay, he's trying to talk about different mental illnesses affecting people differently I think. She says it's not relevant to her role in assessing competency.

He's talking about developments published in peer-reviewed journals."That would be relied upon by people in your field?" "It would be considered."

Talking about psychosis. Deliusions are fixed belief. Grandiose, paranoid, etc. Halluciantions. Auditory, visual, tactile. "You don't want to cover the rest of the hallucinations?" Laughter. He asks for them. "Taste and smell." Disorganised thinking. Tangential thinking all the way to word salad. Abnormal motor behaviour. Shaking, picking, pulling, not moving. Negative symptoms, now. Underactive motor, flat affect, lack of emotions, etc.

Bipolar disorder with psychotic features, major depressive disorder with psychotic features, schizophrenia are the common ones.

Talking now about PTSD with psychotic features, and borderline with transient psychotic features.

This makes me nervous. He's trying to get the State's witness to agree that sometimes PD's can be mental illnesses. He's also trying to establish that a Dx of Borderline PD is a differential Dx for DID.

IMO.

Certainly caught LS's attention!
A little rivalry perhaps? Notice that Letecia popped her head back up for the cross. Could there be some projection happening with her attorneys? Does she believe they’ll decimate the doctor’s assessment?

She seems oblivious to the implications of the testimony and more tuned in to having her agenda pushed.

I think he's being condescending in a passive aggressive way that looks like friendly banter when it's not.

Did you happen to notice if she has any teeth???

Ok, guess there's no turning back now! -- This, after I convinced myself she showered with soap and hot water on Monday!
