Jury Dismissed until Friday morning. Now, Judge is asking Letecia Stauch directly about testifying herself at her own trial. She's entitled to see all the testimony before making a decision. At some point, the Judge will ask her for her decision. Does she understand all the Judge just said. Yes.​

No way of knowing - all I heard was that the State said they had "one more witness" after Dr Torres, they didn't say who the witness was.

Yeah. Switching from a habit of stimulants (if she had one) to antipsychotics or antidepressants will definitely facilitate weight gain. She has that puffy face look that I associate with such side effects.

Torres testified that she found Stauch’s claim that she could hear the devil, which was just heard in one of the interview clips played to the jury, was “not credible” and that she was likely “exaggerating.”

Torres testified that Stauch also at one point stated that she became the Maria personality when she assaulted the El Paso County deputy while being transported back to Colorado after being arrested in North Carolina.

Close to time for LS to go to big girl prison. Hopefully by the end of next week she'll be in her new home. Too bad she won't get an Alex Murdaugh style prison hairdo. Doesn't seem right that the men get their heads shaved and the women do not. Time to right that wrong starting with LS.

If her solitary confinement was causing her mental health issues, then she wouldn’t have been mentally ill when she killed GS.

Which is why this whole trial is a waste of time. She's claiming she was insane at the time of the killing, yet she's totally acting whack for the past two weeks. But she was found competent. I think the only
thing she's got left is acting disconnected/weird for the rest of the trial and get a juror to feel she's "out of it."

Jurors are seeing more video of Stauch’s interview during her sanity evaluation in 2022. Stauch said the devil is telling her to do things. Dr. Torres testified saying that's not a credible symptom of dissociative identity disorder, which Stauch’s lawyers are claiming she has.

Jurors are now watching the video again of Stauch hitting a deputy in the head with a monster energy drink during her transport from Myrtle Beach, SC to Colorado Springs.

Prosecutors asked Dr. Torres if it appeared that Stauch switched personalities to Maria, and said Stauch claimed she switched personalities when she did that. I am sitting right behind Stauch and I heard her say, “I never said that.”

Prosectors: What is your take on Stauch saying she turned into Maria when Gannon was killed?

Dr. Torres: “I would think, or that my understanding of dissociative identity disorder, these different personality states have their own details associated with them.”

"To me, in terms of Mrs. Stauch’s self report, her presentation, it has always been confusing to me how all of the personalities seem to have an awareness of Mrs. Stauch’s own history," Dr. Torres testified.

I don't think the prosecution can call her to testify, only the defence can and its highly unlikely they would want her to.
If she was to testify it would be because she insisted, most likely against counsels advice. JMO

Men do not get their heads shaved in all 50 US states, that's for sure.

Time to stop shaving people's heads as a form of punishment, it's too strongly tied to ugly doings, IMO. At any rate, take that up with South Carolina and the other states that do it.

Still has hair. Was short before this, as well. It may be a prison men's haircut, but he certainly didn't have his whole head shaved.

He certainly has shorter hair in the middle picture - but all three were taken at prison booking. So it varies and is not a problem that the entire US needs to deal with.

Who do you mean by "her"? And when was this discussed, other than in the very last seconds of today? All the prosecution said is that they have one more witness.

The "she" they were discussing was Dr Lewis. Her travel plans were discussed and it turns out Monday is the day that will work for her.

I know I've been hit and miss on the thread today, but, LS is sitting in an mental appointment as someone who smashed a child’s skull in, stabbed him 18 times and shot him in the head, severd his spinal cord and she thinks her alleged trauma is worse than Gannon's?
She is alive and here today Gannon isn’t.

I got excited because the judge was essentially reading LS her rights and asking her questions about testifying and thought that meant it was a done deal, that it was happening. It took me by surprise and if I had more trials under my belt I may not have lost my cool, but I did.
