This is saying a lot, but I find Cersei (GoT) far more likable than Letecia.

I wonder if LS wishes she could be back at the jail rather than in court. She probably has "friends" there and can talk non-stop at them.

IMO.

"AT" being the key word in terms of talking. :-)

I wonder if there is anyone on earth who wants to hear more LS. She has long ago used up her lifetime word allowance without anything of value to say.

Yes, Cersei was understandable and didn't use word salad!

Dear @Warwick7,

I am hoping with all of my heart that when we hear the Verdict, we will see your "BAM" !

To me, this will be one of your best "BAMS" ever!

Here for Gannon
We are going to see a guilty verdict. One without insanity! And yes I'm gonna yell BAM!!!!

Okay, so after looking at the document posted by @Seattle a page or so ago, I'll try to summarize. It's about Dr. Lewis and is a summary of her work for discovery purposes.

First of all, she was six weeks late with her report.

Second of all, apparently she never met with or spoke to LS. All of her impressions are based on the records obtained during her competency and sanity determinations. She claims she didn't get these records in a timely fashion. She wants jail records, social worker records, any corrections psychiatric records, etc. She wants LS's handwriting. Nursing notes. Medical records, etc.

Of interest: the Defense wanted further neuropsychiatric evaluation done on LS and submitted to Laura Leach, Ph.D. (a forensic psychologist). She's a graduate of the illustrious Alliant University in Los Angeles. I am being sarcastic. Some university rating systems allocate Alliant to the rank of 440 out of 443 universities ranked. Others put it as high as 331. It gets 2 stars out of 5 in most rating systems. It has both real world and online pathways to a degree in psychology.

Having said that, every graduate of every university is only as good as the individual themselves. She could be outstanding. However, Dr. Leach is certainly not a published expert (I can't find anything scholarly written by her). She does psychometry and forensic psychology, but nothing about whether she's an expert in the kinds of biomarkers that Dr Lewis says accompany DID.

TL;DR The Defense will likely be offering its own neuropsychiatric data, from separate testing done on around February 20, 2023.

The discovery document does not state whether Dr. Leach would be traveling to CO to actually interact with LS. She is. based in Denver, CO, so it's likely that she may have traveled to EPC to see LS on Feb. 20.

Here's the document link again (thanks so much, @Seattle).

Really really glad there's a rest day tomorrow. I've come to the realisation that I'm inching up on autistic burnout, and I very much want to avoid that. I will be listening and commenting till the end of trial, because I'm still deeply interested and invested, but I am towards the end of my reserves. I have to remember that I spent the last eight months clawing my way back from long COVID to something approaching normality for me. I don't want to be back where I was even four months ago because I'm too boneheaded to listen to myself.

I need a gif with a rainbow and the words selfcare in flowing calligraphy. You can all imagine it, I'm too tired to google one. :D

MOO
Take good care of yourself!

Yes, I followed that. I can still say that this is not the case in California. If there are lice outbreaks, then administrators can decide to shear everyone, citing health reasons. I think there are limits on how long hair can be, though (throughout their stay unless they are in a special setting, like a psychiatric unit).

CO definitely makes men shave their beards but I can't find any clear indication of whether they also require all male prisoners to have their heads shaved.

//Arkansas prisons do not require “shaved heads or short crew cuts,” Justice Alito wrote, and so “it is hard to see why an inmate would seek to hide contraband in a half-inch beard rather than in the longer hair on his head.”//

From:

I'm still trying to dig up anything specific for CO. But if you say their DOC was still doing it in 2018, I'm going to rely on that information until I can find anything more recent. In VA, prisoners may refuse the haircut (but then get sent into a higher security facility, so not exactly a win).

//
Though no federal law mandates the practice, state prisons make their own rules. In fact, the Federal Bureau of Prisons does not require head shaving for incarcerated people, and they can choose how they want to wear their hair and even have it long as long as they keep it clean and hygienic.

//

New York has ruled it unconstitutional as well:

Definitely a state-by-state and even prison-by-prison method. I have to say I wish they would use it equally between the sexes.

IMO
I hope they shave T's head. Her hair is so greasy, it probably hasn't been washed in months. I doubt they do that though.

Talk about cruel and unusual punishment. Is it even fair to ask Judge Werner to swear her in?

" Do you promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God?"

ETA: At a minimum I'd expect an eye roll from every juror.
She doesn't know what the truth is and has never spoken the truth in her whole life I bet. She wouldn't care one bit if she lied under oath. It's just the way she is. Pathetic excuse for a human being. She's a beast, so not even human. JMO

Another Colorado trial ( Adams County ) where the Defendant pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

After 2 weeks of trial the jury deliberated for 3 hours and reached a verdict yesterday of Guilty on all charges.

Judge immediately sentenced him to LWOP plus 336 years.

Exactly! LS is just like a good amount of the population -- she's not special.
I'm not sure I'd say a good amount of the population has clinically significant symptoms of both Narcissistic and Borderline PD. Not sure a good amount qualifies for a dx of Indeterminate PD either. But like ~ 99% of the population, she likely does not have DID.

RSBM for focus.

It seems like the prosecution should be able to call Letecia given that Colorado requires them to prove her sane. But I suppose doing so would somehow impair her right to a fair trial.

Anyway I’m looking forward to an off day tomorrow. This afternoon my husband invited me to have lunch downtown and my first thought was to ask him to wait until tomorrow but I didn’t have the heart. I’ve been a bit homebound lately due to a leg issue and he wanted to get me out into fresh air and help me regain a few pounds (even though I’m not underweight).

Lunch turned out to be just what I needed- hubby even indulged me to check posts between the app and main dish, lol.

My point is that it’s okay to come up for air during this trial in order to stay balanced. We have enough good people here supporting each other to make sure we don’t miss anything important. Hugs!
Glad you had a great lunch and got some fresh air! Hugs!

You can get yourself a free 15 minute consultation with Dr Leach, or her husband, also Dr Leach, if you like. Website and telephone number within easy reach. Seems Laura Leach spent all of her career with the 'Veteran's Affairs' medical Centre until relatively recently. Specialises in stroke and dementia, I gather, really.

Was interested to see the 'social worker' on that list of sources Dr Lewis used. That was the one who was insisting LS had been in a hospital in Canada, if I remember correctly.

The other morning in Court a couple of days before Dr. Torres testimony, they were taking care of some housekeeping.
One thing they addressed with the Judge was some raw data Torres was providing the Defense. There was concern on both sides that the data would be filed under seal and not available to the Public.

I believe it contained LS test answers and scores.

Tolini said “ don’t worry, no one will see this except me and the social worker.”

Surely he didn't say that, did he? (not doubting you personally, but it just sounds so unlikely)

Somewhere right after 6:01

He’s not standing close to a microphone so you might have to crank the volume up

Ugh. I didn’t follow this case but from what I’ve read it appears the guy also tried to claim a bushel and a peck of various mental health conditions, none of which convinced the psychologist he was insane.

Further he also claimed the “irresistible impulse” gambit which also failed. Webster destroyed a family. IMO the jury made the right call.

I think Letecia’s jury will do the same.

Maria is the name of the vampire who turns Jasper into a vampire. I'm not recalling a Harmony, however.

Oh, and the actor Taylor from the series used to date Taylor Swift and is currently married to another woman named Taylor. It's like she used the books and tabloids to "create" this stuff.
Harmony is a character in they Buffy tv series who later becomes a vampire. I think she was both on Buffy and Angel, the spinoff show.
