@Curious Me, Defendant was sitting upright until Dr. Grimmett's testimony, from there defendant slowing went into her defeat mode. Testimony is still going on but a big win for the state! imo

Early on in her testimony, Dr. Grimmett said during her interaction with Letecia Stauch, “She was humming to herself, she was hitting her head on the wall. She seemed happier then she should’ve been."

“At some point she turned around to talk to somebody else, then turned around to talk to me. She said she was talking to a vampire,” said Dr. Grimmett, talking about her interaction with Letecia Stauch.

Honestly I feel guilty as heck for laughing because this is all just so heartbreaking and tragic, but wtf man... EGGuardo, uncle Matt, old Quincy B, belly full of cash, flight attendant with a PhD in everything on earth... A button in her cell which calls Jasper and the Volturi AND NOW TUPAC?!

I'm barely holding it together here

Diagnosed LS with Unspecified Personality Disorder with Borderline and Narcissistic Features. She met many of the symptoms for both Borderline Personality Disorder and Narcissistic Personality Disorder but didn't meet the number of symptoms required for a diagnosis (per the DSM). Also offered a rule out diagnosis of PTSD.

Witness is asked about transient episodes of psychosis. The DSM describes these episodes in relation to Borderline Personality Disorder, which is a form of an attachment disorder.

The first competency exam noted the same diagnosis the witness concluded. The first competency exam noted more NPD symptoms than BPD.

Transient episodes of psychosis. Did not see any evidence of that in her interview with LS.

LS said she felt she could bring Gannon back to life based on her religious beliefs. Religious beliefs by definition are not delusions per the DSM. LS also claimed a conspiracy around Tupac not actually being dead, and said this was relevant to Gannon.

Her conclusions were very similar to the first evaluation, with the exclusion of the rule out for bipolar. Her impressions were LS had heavier narcissistic traits than borderline. That the two evaluations being very similar was not surprising.

Maladaptive features of her personality (narcissistic and borderline). The symptoms she presented to the witness appeared that she was trying to make herself feel better and make sense of her situation and present herself in certain ways.

Her opinion was that LS did not have anything that met the threshold for competency.

Explaining dissociation, now. Using the highway hypnosis example to explain nonpathological dissociation. Talking now about dissociation due to extreme stress. Talking about how dissociation becomes a problem when it impacts your day to day life.
