I read this as “ word salad circus “ at first

This jury ask great questions. Impressed. imo

Edited: The jury is engaged. All impressive questions today.

What did the doctor think when Letecia said "she created these personalities"? That's not how DID separate personalities are, they're not controlled by the individual, they may not be aware of different personalites or alters can be very random, they aren't controlled so the person doesn't say I'm going to go into this personality state. (Letecia says the personalities were her creations and that is not DID symptoms.)

Just to note - Victoria is another Twilight vampire (character) and Taylor is the name of the actor who plays Jacob, a human/wolf shapeshifter, in the series.

I'm finally caught up from yesterday's posts. You guys are awesome and some of these comments made me howl. Sometimes we do need some laughter for levity in light of the tragedy and sickness we have been exposed to.

May the wheels of justice continue to roll on. This defendant is violent and cunning, she needs to be locked away from others for their safety.

Oh, if only belly contained cash and not just fat

You geek away, and I will join you, have you seen my username? :p

Quoting myself to point out my mistake, that should read MY belly
Maria is the name of the vampire who turns Jasper into a vampire. I'm not recalling a Harmony, however.

Oh, and the actor Taylor from the series used to date Taylor Swift and is currently married to another woman named Taylor. It's like she used the books and tabloids to "create" this stuff

Lol PJ, your fangirl is on fire today :p.

Probably irrelevant, but there is a high school mean girl turned vampire called Harmony in Buffy (because, yes I'm a 90's teenager :D)

Since T can move between worlds, I'd like to request she move out of mine.
Can she please take Lori Vallow with her. I'm over sharing this one with the both of them.

Lol, I was just coming to mention Harmony from Buffy. Letecia seems incapable of original thought. I guess her spider web of lies somehow connect to create a narrative that makes sense to her but dang if I can see it.

T was fixated on it, even in her re-working of how it happened.

You can see it in the video. Smashes the officer in the face and continues the lunge. Zero movement toward the door. 100% going for the gun.

She is dangerous. Cunning, plotting and above all else stupid.

Jmo
It took three officers to subdue her. If she had gotten the gun, there would have been three more people dead. She's very daring and a menace to society, and yes, cunning, plotting and stupid like you've said.

I really hope somebody in prison takes her down. She doesn't deserve another day on earth.

JMO

Have we figured out where Edjguardo came from?

Noting along with everyone else, she's not capable of original thought so....

(Thread#63p32 so I can find your posts later!)

So LS's fake multiple personalities are entirely named from TV shows, movies and tabloid news, mostly on a vampire theme? I think you posters have identified something very important that needs to be sent to the prosecution by email. I have heard of Buffy but never watched it; I have never even heard of Twilight. My point is that details about these shows may seem like common knowledge to you, but it is not, and the jurors don't know either.

OTT IMO the prosecution needs Dr Torres to talk down level to the jury more on the issue of MPD/DID. IMO it is insufficient for the Dr to say that LS talking about creating personalities isn't how it works. She needs to be more clear about how MPD/DID does work, eg contrast LS statements. The alter personalities are a product of and reside in the subconscious mind. The host personality does not consciously create the alters, is usually unaware of their existence entirely until a significant period of therapy - which is completely different than LS describing her very conscious fantasy life, consciously pretending to be someone else. JMO LS is just making this up, she emphatically does NOT have MPD/DID, but I am concerned that the jury is not so well informed as Websleuthers on the topic.

Her spewing is offensive, and she is so very stupid. She reminds me of all the other NPD and BPD murderers we all know, esp. Diane Downs.

She's a bigot IMO. Spanish accent Maria and Edugardo the maintenance man.

Recalling the first morning of juror selection and the Court voicing concern about Dr. Lewis's data and report, DA Allen told the Court that the state's mental health experts would be called last and he thought it would work out to get the data to them timely.

I didn't remember hearing Allen mention Dr Grimmet's name but I do recall Doctors Torres and Gray mentioned. I wonder if Dr. Gray is the state's last witness.

I was confident after Dr. Grimmet testified but wasn't impressed with how the prosecution presented Dr. Torres's two evaluations (competency and sanity).

I'll reserve judgment until hearing from the final witness on whether or not the state will have a rebuttal (and who should do it).

And I hope the prosecution redeems itself with Dr. Torres on Friday!

What do you think?

ETA: It's not clear to me if Dr. Grimmet also evaluated LS for sanity or just competency. (??)

Well, I woke up this morning and after reading your post and the one about how the State didn't get Dr Lewis's report until late March (!), I think the State may have to rebut Dr. Lewis. OTOH, I can't see the jury. They are probably pretty weary by now.

If LS takes the stand (I give that a 50/50 chance right now, although it would be just like her to insist on it), then yes, I think the State will need to bring back at least one expert. I haven't been that impressed with the ones so far, but Dr Gray is probably their best witness.

I agree that the prosecution needs to get Dr Torres to shine tomorrow. I think it would have been a good idea for the prosecution to spring for a different kind of mental health testimony, specifically someone who does psychiatric epidemiology and can testify that of all the Alphabet Soup of DSM diagnoses that LS *might* have, NONE of those diagnoses is clearly associated with insanity such that a person has to commit a crime. Examples of mental situations (certain drugs used, tumors) that are so associated should be given. There is an association between severe paranoid schizophrenia and violent acting out, but no one proposes she has that.

IMO.

I don't think that is irrelevant. I had given LS some credit for at least being creative. But you posters have pinpointed that all she did was grab names mostly from vampire shows and movies to create her teenybopper notion of "multiple personalities". That is just patently ridiculous in terms of actual MPD/DID. JMO and we can say it here, LS is a malingerer and now a plagarist. I am surprised how this section of testimony to her behavior and fake claims has made me loathe her even more than I already did.
