Would they sit her up there on her own in open court? I don't like that idea. I also really don't like the idea of either defence lawyers cross examining her.
Whilst I would really love to know what Laina had to say, I'm going tobhave to hope the final witness is Landen.

I don't think it will be Dr Gray, there's too much secrecy around who it is and Dr Torres was asked multiple times if he agreed with her, and if he signed the reports etc.
I hear ya. A few posters have mentioned that they might show a taped interview of Laina. That would be better. She’s still so young. I hurt for her.

I swear I am brain dead. I am so glad the weekend is here to deflate.

LS exhausts me.
She is high maintenance.
She is extremely narcissistic.

Is he holding the DSM-5? Did Letecia's outburst say No in denial of having read that? (Gosh, she read the Discovery and obsessively memorized the Autopsy Report!)
What does that tell us that memorized and obsessed over the autopsy report???
She planned to have answers ready to fit the evidence.

Note that world population is nearly 8 billion. 1% is 80 million.
Wow. When you put it that way.. I was thinking it was .1 percent, but apparently the number could be higher.

But.. I’m unconvinced by Tee.
She took way too many steps to cover up Gannon’s murder and to lie.

I’ve followed a few cases where women plead insanity after murdering a child. In every case, the woman stayed at the site of the murder with the deceased child or children. Some even called the police themselves. Schenecker, Schlemmer, Yates as examples.

Oh. Is there really a chance Laina or Landen might be the last State's witness? That would be so powerful. I don't want to get my hopes up.

MOO, I think the State doesn't need another emphasis on Letecia's mental state. Why give so much to her make believe DID? They can shoot Dr. Lewis down later on cross. They need to BRING IT BACK TO GANNON with a witness that can do that.

That, and she was probably gloating. It was the most concrete proof that Gannon was never coming back and that she'd won, besides his actual body. She wouldn't be the first killer to take pleasure in the details of death of their victim.

MOO

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed due to no links to information stated as fact>

DSM began in 1848, long before billing codes. And I myself am old enough to remember the days before the codes were in use for billing purposes.

It's true it has political aspects, but it was designed primarily for collecting data and the US government wanted all grants to be coordinated by a simple system (which has become very complex almost two centuries later).

Does anyone else think it's weird that the prosecution seem to be skirting around naming their final witness? They have mentioned by name every other witness, why don't they want us to know who it is?.

Oh, just heard there will be rebuttal witnesses!
Thanks!

Texas? We’re a little NE of Dallas. Only got some rain this time out of the nasty looking storm.

Some recent estimates say 0.5%. There are big issues that need to be resolved before a 'proper count can be made, IMO.

Nearly all people diagnosed with DID are women and a large percentage are also diagnosed with HPD, PTSD, and other Dx's that the same populations studied over time shifted as to whether they were still DID or had ever been DID. I know of know clear epidemiological studies (and so the estimates really vary). Here's an article on the difficulties of assessing the overall rate:

Ha! My daughter in West Palm Beach Florida texted me a video of hail about an hour ago.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that estimate of six to twelve years to diagnose DID has IMO more to do with the length of life dysfunction than the interval of testing. And by that I mean an individual would be struggling over that span of time to function, would have a simultaneous history of seeking various treatments and have family who could testify to those struggles.

T is claiming, what? That she had a sudden burst of DID? Rapid onset DID that occurred on January 26/7, 2020 and wore off after Maria, who wouldn't know how to drive on the right side of the road used her super powers to lift Gannon, not to take him to the hospital EVER, but to heave his battered body into expected waters, to disappear forever.

That is not how DID works.

No, T is an emotionally fragile person with little identity of her own who gloms on to people. A parasite. And feels her very self will disappear if they leave her.

This is simple, straight-forward, and tragic.

She's a desperate human being.

I'm solid on the desperate, not so solid on the human being.

I think we will be hearing from Laina. She knew what was going on in that house.

As much as it pains me that Laina may have to testify, I think anything Laina can bring to the table will be very powerful. She will be speaking for Gannon.

I’m hoping it’s videotaped.

... as an example, my son is diagnosed autistic and his particular profile of autism is Pathological demand avoidance, which is a relatively new (1980's) discovery and is becoming much more recognised now, mainly in England where the Dr who made the headway with this particular profile is from, however it is not yet in the DSM-5, there is talk of it being entered into the DSM-6 but we aren't there yet, and many psychologists still refuse to recognise it as a diagnosis. In England it's a county by county lottery. My county doesn't diagnose it, although many i
of the Dr's we have encountered recognise it.
It's extremely frustrating!.

After Jury dismissed today, Judge Warner wanted to look at scheduling for Monday.
Prosecution says one more final witness for them, will take a good chunk of time- lots of information to go over.

Judge asked did he need all day. Allen said he would know more by lunchtime.

Defense says they have 2 witnesses to call.

Judge mentioned as the trial moves forward there will be more need for traffic or crowd control. Told both sides to let him know how many seats they need for family members on both sides.

Werner said he will not place time limits on closing arguments.
Said ordinarily he does, but this case is rare.

He said although he won’t limit them, he may have to pause them after 90 minutes or so to give Jury a break or lunch.

Said they are up to 700+ exhibits and they won’t all fit in the Jury room, so he will probably arrange a separate room for exhibits and Jurors can take the ones they need back to their room.
