Update: Still behind, I've got to swamp hair puker on the video talking about petco and questioning Gannon. I have to say before I forget that saying Gannon was good at lying and giving the blue/purple shirt example is really bothering me.
My dad and two of my three sons are colourblind and notorious for seeing things that are actually purple as blue. My youngest son has colour-correction sunglasses. I love his reaction when I tell him to put them on and see the purple crocus, that he swears are blue.

If there is any truth in the shirt colouring lying bs, was Gannon colourblind?

What’s the general consensus here with regard to the candle/fire? I really want to know more about this. Was there any testimony as to why there was a candle burning? Is it possible she tried to murder Gannon by starting a slow-burning fire?

I really wish the DP was on the table for this creature.

It wouldn’t have surprised me if they put her on the stand. However, I don’t think there is any way this last witness would be her. It sounded like they thought the witness would be up there for a long time and I can’t imagine that, if she were up there, they would ask her more than a handful of questions.

I had to shut off the trial about an hour early yesterday, I couldn't handle any more of the witness's voice, the defense's voice and LS maddening voice. I don't know how the heck Albert or Harley tolerated her. Good gravy that woman is not just evil, obviously, she could probably drive someone insane themselves, with just her blabbing.

As for Monday's last witness for the prosecution, I really hope it's not little sister.

That was my thought and hope to dispute everything LS said about her childhood and mental health treatments. This would be the last nail in her coffin.

I think if she had anything favorable to the State’s case to say they would have already called her. Like right after her brother testified.

In opening statements ( or maybe jury selection mini-opening) the Defense told the Jury “ You are going to hear from LS’s family and friends that she was unraveling leading up to the murder”

I thought then that we would see the Defense call her mother and aunt.

Doubt that’s going to happen now.

One of the things Dr Lewis says she used to determine insanity was viewing the interviews that Defense did with LS family.

So when Lewis takes the stand maybe we’ll hear what Mom and Brenda think ( if that’s not hearsay)

I’m guessing they both think LS went insane or that she was framed.

In this Esquire article about Dr. Dorothy Ortner Lewis, she mentions that sometimes she feels afraid in the presence of a client/patient. She handles this by having someone else be in the room, preferring to have someone from the "legal team" (probably a man, if possible, right?) or she has her assistant in the room.

I surely hope she did travel to Colorado Springs to see LS, because if it was a video conference call, I don't think anyone ever gets that stab (or dash) of fear in a video conference call. At least not the full dose of fear one gets in person.

It's in person that we are able to transfer and respond to feelings like fear (feeling the rage of a person get less and less under control is very scary).

I think LS is very dangerous, and I feel for her lawyers and everyone else who has to be near her. I think she's dangerous but not insane (she's able to be calculating and to plan harm to others).

I heard that the Defence’s second witness may be Amy, Letecias friend who is referenced in the sanity interview, the one who supposedly answered the phone to "Maria".
Complete speculation and JMO.

More hearsay and speculation is that the jury aren't buying the insanity bs one bit, and all seem to be thinking the same thing we do from their facial expressions Again, speculation and just my opinion, which I'm always happy to share, lol.

Personally I doubt the state will call LS's mother. While LS's half-brother may have been believable, I'm not sure her mother would be. It's certainly in the mother's self-interest to believe LS had a perfectly normal, non-traumatic childhood that did not involve being molested by anybody and certainly not by one of mom's husbands. I'm not sure I'd believe the mother (ANY mother-- I'm not talking about this particular person) about many things under those circumstances. Incest and familial sexual abuse usually involve lots of denial and psychological unwillingness to see. And I'd think the state wouldn't want to risk a potentially ugly cross so close to the end of their case. Frankly, mom saying LS never got mental health treatment as a child or adolescent (I'd believe that) would only make mom look bad and wouldn't weaken LS's claims IMO.

I doubt the little sister will be called either especially since the state indicated a lengthy presentation. But if she is called, legally she can't just say her piece on video. She has to be subject to cross examination. (And no, someone who interviewed her years ago can't just show a tape of her interview answers to questions. The defense has to be able to ask her about her answers regardless of her current age of around 11.) If I were a juror, I wouldn't blame the defense for asking the little sister questions if the state calls her. But I'd blame the state for creating that totally unnecessary situation. I'd also resent the attempt at emotional manipulation of the jury. (At least that's what it would feel like to me.) I'd feel the same way about seeing LH testify. She was not in Colorado when GS was killed and I'm not sure what she could add to the criminal case. She already stated publicly (when LS was arrested) she had trusted LS with her son. So she can't really say anything different now. Of course, I'd definitely expect a victim impact statement from her if LS is convicted.

I don't know who will be called but I suspect whoever it is will have video/tape to discuss. And I suspect LS will say something pretty shocking on the tape.

Everyone perceives colour a little differently. You don't have to be colourblind.

For example, neither I nor my partner are colourblind. We generally agree on the colours of things EXCEPT a certain shade of what I perceive as a pastel minty green. She thinks it's blue. We have in on the walls here of a couple of rooms of my mother's house. But we also perceive it differently on objects, in different lighting conditions, etc. So I don't see anything strange in Gannon thinking something was on one side of blue or purple and someone else thinking different. There are blues that are very purpley, and purples that are very blue. It's all about individual perception and the labels we give things.
