Court is going on the record now for Jury questions in the

First Question: Can we have an index list of all exhibits

Second question: Can we have both a preliminary and final report from Dr. Lewis. Judge's proposed response is expert reports are not introduce as evidence in a trial. Allen said they were not admitted as evidence.

Weirdly I noticed a few weeks ago that if I try to watch law&crime on my tv via YouTube app, it wasn’t free. I use my iPad to pull it up and it works then I mirror it to my tv so I don’t have to watch on my phone or an iPad.

Maybe this will help someone else

Jury questions.
Can we have an index list of all exhibits? They have two lists, one of all exhibits, one of admitted exhibits. Jury is going to get the second.
Can we have both preliminary and final report from Dr Lewis? Expert reports are not admitted as evidence in a trial. To admit expert reports is improper.

The camera that used to be pointed on the witness stand now shows this:

The Letecia Stauch trial is back in session this morning and I’m in the courtroom. My colleagues at
@KKTV11News covered last week of trial while I was out. The jury is still deliberating after a few hours of deliberations on Friday. We are standing by for a verdict.

This is where things left off on Friday:

The jury asked the court for a list of exhibits. The judge says that will be provided to them.

Not sure I like 2nd question

Why do they want Lewis’ report? It’s not worth the paper it’s printed on. I’m getting such a bad feeling. Please don’t let them be hung or NGRI.

Very good point, 10! I have a decent vocab but had to look that one up. Did the judge give them the definition? If they have no dictionary, how do we know that they know what it means? My first Google search of the word resulted in Vocabulary.com's definition which I think fits Lietecia to a "T.": Obliquity is a characteristic of being deliberately indirect or vague, especially to fool or deceive someone.

He did NOT, to my knowledge, give them the definition! And he said not to use dictionaries!

I'm trying to think how I would translate that in my own mind (I had to look up obliquity myself). Can you say which dictionary has that definition? Or is that how you understand it (it comes from the word "oblique" so yes, indirect makes sense). It does descrie her to a T !!

It seems to presume that anyone capable of vague or indirect speech when questioned about a crime is in their sound mind and being cagey, right?

(Not that the jury has the means to debate this effectively - I am assuming they will just sort of use their own definitions of what evidence of knowledge of right/wrong means).

I know that most incoming college students do not have a good grasp of what the word "moral" means in the first place. They know about the "moral of the story" and think it's some kind of maxim. When asked to write down a "moral question" to discuss, they are all over the place (many put quite practical questions down). This is from observation in classes on ethics.

IMO.

They are sending back the exhibit list and answer to second question. Judge says that takes care of everything at this point and time. Judge says he is still going to give 30 minutes post verdict "with some grace" if family needs more time to get into the court room.

Court is now in recess until verdict or further jury questions.
