@larryryckman: "I'm hit!" Micayla yelled. He heard her coughing. "That was the last thing I heard from her."

@larryryckman: He shouted her name. He tried to pick her up but he couldn't. Someone from the row above pulled him up to the next row.

IMO...it shows he wasn't planning on quitting the program when he resigned that lease. I could be wrong...but that is what it tells me.

I don't know....he would have renewed for 1 year if everything was cool. He bought the first stuff on May 10? 6 months was the shortest time frame he could get...

@larryryckman: Campbell describes where he and Micayla were sitting in the theater.

IMO, this may have been a credit card for emergencies. He was living out of state. Can run into issues - need to get home suddenly or whatever. His parents aren't necessarily wealthy, but I would say upper middle class. But of course, all of this is speculation, since I really have no idea.

None of his purchases that I have seen have been over a few hundred at a time. Nothing to set off Identity Theft. And if it did, they would just call him and he would say "Yup! Those are my charges!" And that would be that!

Getting any credit card since 2009 is not as easy as you claim sweet pea...All applicant's have to have some sort of credit rating..No one starts out with clean slate ( quite the contrary in fact)..

.Have one son (youngest) who declared bankruptcy ..and had to wait 8 years to re-apply..and all they would allow him to start with was like 200.00..starting point to earn payment of debt history..Once you pass your limit..further transactions get booted at source of purchase..It's immediate STOPPAGE to further debt...That's why I'm questioning his Credit rating..Have heard no mention of that whatsoever..and appears his parents always footed his bills...

You mentioned earnings from student (jobs) things..haven't heard that either..But having a job as a student is far from their bar to consider giving credit since it's NOT codified as earnings guaranteed by any workplace....Many may not understand the loaning/credit card changes have taken place since 2009...LOL could be we are too old to recall such issues?...Hee haha

Kimber Avra says they celebrated that she was going to be moving out

They "feasted"

I think that's sad. Their stories always leave a pit in my stomach.

@larryryckman: She was part of the group who went to the theater with Campbell and Micayla Medek.

I sure wish his parents had been a little bit more awake to what was happening to their son.
I read when the psy called the parents about him, it was said that the mother said to the doc 'that's just how he is'...They had NO clue. IMO

They had no idea what was about to hit them. Such young people at the start of their lives. :(

@larryryckman: The friends snuck snacks into the theater. She says she went out for a smoke before the movie.

@larryryckman: Avra heard a bang from a door slamming, the emergency door at the bottom of the theater. Someone head to toe in black.

@larryryckman: Avra: Looked like a costume. "He had something in his hand ... he threw it up and behind us. He pulled a tab on it."

I am fully aware of how credit cards work. I just paid off $20,000...2 months ago! And most of that was spending in the past 4 years.

He was paid to be a student. $2166 a month.

I have many new credit cards - and have never been asked to verify where my income comes from.

He was 24 years old. Had been working in labs since he was 18. Worked during the summer, etc. I just don't have anything that says to me that his parents funded his entire life.

I think so, because the owner said that she only rented to grad students, at that time, he wasn't a student any longer. He quit May 9

@larryryckman: Avra: People started clapping at first when the canister was thrown. Seconds later there was a gunshot.

@larryryckman: Avra: "I was like a deer in the headlights. I froze. I didn't process what was going on. I just sat there."

@larryryckman: Avra: "After that there was a second gunshot." Her friend pulled her onto the ground. She ended up on top of her friend.

He renewed in May. He didn't quit until June.

@larryryckman: "It was pointless because the seats fold up, but we didn't know what else to do." She tripped when they tried to run.

@larryryckman: Avra: Gunshots were still ringing out as they ran out of the theater.

Holmes fails oral exam

James Holmes fails oral exams for CU's neuroscience program, prosecutors say. A professor tells Holmes he has no future in neuroscience. Holmes has had a hard time finding a mentor. On the same day, he buys a Smith & Wesson M&P15 at Gander Mountain in Thornton.

ok, I thought he quit after he failed the oral exam 5/9. He paid rent June 28? So, if he quit in June, when he paid 6/29, he wasn't a student.

That is in fact true. But he wouldn't want anyone coming to his apartment for any reason...especially unpaid rent...given his already well planned attack was in progress!
