I'm no expert, but all I gathered from that first session is that he is a sane, somewhat shy, guy who likes juice and cares mostly about himself and a tiny bit about his family. JMO
I am right there with ya! I watched it all...and then just read through all of the last few pages (sorry I forgot to hit thanks...and I am not going back! LOL!!)
The one thing that stood out to me the most is when asked about his family and what they did...the first, and really only, answer he came up with was "make pizza". WTF?? That's not normal!!! Then he said made home made water parks...dug holes or something? I don't know.
I am pretty sure he had a very nice, upper middle class upbringing with holidays and whatever. I am an only child, but I can tell you all sorts of things about my growing up. And I didn't have any siblings to be around during family things.
That being said, he also didn't have a tragic upbringing. Doesn't even remotely sound like he was bullied. He did sports things, and school things, and played video games and whatever else boys 20 years younger than me did at the time. LOL!
Like y'all, the lack of empathy was the biggest stand out to me. And that his parents have only visited once a year. That is...I don't know what. Surprising I guess. Sad. Probably understandable...but I don't know what their reasons were. They are there in court with him everyday. I wonder if that is more about appearances than true support (please don't throw tomatoes at me for thinking that!)
And lastly...I was able to stay focused much better than I thought I would. I was so afraid it would be hard to follow...it is not.
2 down...20 to go!!! See y'all tomorrow!
