CO - Jessica Hernandez, 17, killed by police after LEO struck by stolen car

Why was the vehicle travelling towards the officer?

Free speech entails all speech, not just popular speech. How would you decide who has a voice?

Opinions and facts yes, threats or attempts to rile folks into crime, no.

It would make sense if she were aiming at an officer standing by the wall.

And I don't think anyone has stated with certainty that the police officer couldn't get out of the way. I think people used terms like "I think" and "IMO" and "JMO". All of which state opinions, not certainty.

Just as your statement "The police is at fault and in violation of the use-of-force policy. JMO."

I enlarged photos and it looks as if shots fired where all in driver's side windshield. If that's correct, LE was in front of her. I cannot see any other windows broken.

Why was the vehicle travelling towards the officer?

Not sure. To flee? To aim?

Why was the vehicle moving at all?
It was parked when the cops approached it.

So he goes to a gay rights conference, one of the most vocal groups protesting the shooting, to address them and they won't let him speak?

So what are they protesting for?
Change? Action? "Justice"?

So here is the MAYOR, and you won't let him speak? Aren't the ones in power the ones who help create change, action and justice?

I don't get it.

Seems to me they are just protesting to protest then.

It's ridiculous. I doubt LE knew she was gay before shooting. People need to look beyond what they (gay Hispanic female) are to who they are (less than stellar citizen). JMO

I totally agree.

I agree. LE didn't shoot at a gay Hispanic teenaged woman. LE shot at an arrest resisting, car stealing, law breaking citizen that was driving vehicle directly at them. I don't see how they could even determine that she was female given her hair and clothing style. SMH. This case just keeps getting under my skin. JMO.

So far, there is no evidence whether JH was dead or alive when the vehicle went towards the officer - the Denver Chief of Police has advised he does not know the sequence of events.

Unfortunately, a statement made as fact, with no fact(s) to back it up. Trial by WS is no different than trial by media imo.

It is not stated as fact if "JMO" follows it. Which it did.

BBM

WRONG. Jessica died in the hospital, hours later. So she was alive when the car went towards the officer. That is a fact.

Was responding to post #552 - nothing to do with any post Kimberlyd125 made.

JH may have been unconscious or dying while behind the wheel, with no control over the wheel or direction of the vehicle. It depends when she was shot. No matter how it's sliced, when she actually died is not a conclusion to what happened and no one can claim fact - yet. Is there a link to the moment JH actually died - or was she pronounced dead at hospital after the fact?

We need an inquiry, trial or other means of forensic information. That's another fact. If the Denver Chief of Police doesn't know exactly what happened, how does anyone at WS know?

So since you weren't responding to me, I can't comment?
That's not really how things work at WS.

So, it was not stated as fact. It was stated as opinion.

That's a fact.

"Hernandez later died at an area hospital."

"A medical examiner found Hernandez died from multiple gunshot wounds."

The article is not quoting anyone with the statement 'H later died at an area hospital'. No one is credited with that statement. No time of death. People that are pronounced dead at hospital are just that - pronounced dead at hospital. Means nothing.

Who is making the statement?

Chuckles - and where is Jimmy Hoffa? He's been pronounced dead. When? Where?
