FBI places missing Craig teen on endangered runaway list

A missing Craig teen has been placed on the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s endangered runaway list, bringing additional law enforcement resources into the search.

Katrina Treacy, 14, was last seen by her mother, Jean Robertson, on Aug. 23. She has not heard from her daughter since.

Craig Police Department Commander Bill Leonard said there have been no developments in the case and there is still no indication Treacy was abducted, but other factors led the local FBI office in Glenwood to put the child on a national register for endangered runaways.

From above link it seems a runaway, 2 months missing for a 14 year old is a long time -


Katrina Treacy was last seen the evening of Aug. 23, 2016 by her Mother, Jean Robertson and hasn't heard from her since!!

Jean says Katrina didn't take her cell phone with her but did take a tablet device as well as a picture of her brother and a few clothes.

Jean noted Katrina had just returned home from a trip to the Denver area to visit her Aunt, Valerie Sword, of Arvada.

" She called her Aunt Val on (Aug 24), the day she actually came up missing" Jean said, adding that she had traveled to Denver to search in the area but did not find anything

[h=1]Police: Teen missing since August could be in Arapahoe County[/h]

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — Police in Arapahoe County are on alert, looking for a teenager who has been missing since August 2016.

Officers say Katrina Treacy, now 15, went missing as a 14-year-old out of Craig, Colorado. Police say she could be in Greenwood Village, Aurora or another location inside Arapahoe County.

The Craig Daily Press reported June 1 that Treacy's mother had packed up and begun a personal search for her daughter as she feared for her daughter's life.

Wednesday marked one year since Katrina Treacy went missing. She would be 15-years-old today.

Treacy was last seen at her home in Craig, Colorado -- just a day after visiting some family in Arvada.

Ellen Jean Robertson, Treacy's great aunt and legal guardian, said she ran away -- taking only a tablet and a picture of her brother who passed away years ago.

"All indications are that she had run away and was found safe," said School Resource Officer Ryan Fritz. "She is currently under emergency guardianship with a family in the (Denver) metro area by order of the courts."
