There are pics of the hay barn somewhere, don't have a link.Good Morning,
That is all correct @enelram. Many times I have thrown something on top of hay such as bags of grain when I had a big delivery until I get a chance to arrange things and there is no such thing as something being on it for maybe 2 days to cause rotting or any discoloration for that matter. And I doubt very much that any rancher would stock wet/damp hay, we all know what can happen with that as you stated.
I have got deliveries where sometimes a couple of bales when I crack them open will have mold in them because somehow when they were baled there was some wetness but at that point it is dry mold and only a couple of bales out of say 100.
I too would like to see pictures of this supposed "darkened " hay.
One thing I noticed when I was out in CO is they do a lot of the big bales over 100 lbs and beautiful nice hay. They also feed horses round bales because it is so dry out there but I would NEVER feed a round bale to horses where I am because of humidity,,,,they use them for cows here.
Also were any pictures released of the red barn where this hay was stored on the Nash Ranch? I did not see any but someone made a comment which led me to believe that they saw a picture?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure we're talking leaking body fluids to discolor
the hay. And it would also explain why the cadaver dogs hit
on those top bales where the tote sat.
the confusion seems to be whether or not the "tote" is hard plastic
like one I have for horse tack or soft material like a large
duffle bag (which woulld probably leak, imo).
I don't think we've seen a good pic of tote even though LE has
one taken at the bank ATM on TG Day .
