Good Morning,
That is all correct @enelram. Many times I have thrown something on top of hay such as bags of grain when I had a big delivery until I get a chance to arrange things and there is no such thing as something being on it for maybe 2 days to cause rotting or any discoloration for that matter. And I doubt very much that any rancher would stock wet/damp hay, we all know what can happen with that as you stated.
I have got deliveries where sometimes a couple of bales when I crack them open will have mold in them because somehow when they were baled there was some wetness but at that point it is dry mold and only a couple of bales out of say 100.
I too would like to see pictures of this supposed "darkened " hay.
One thing I noticed when I was out in CO is they do a lot of the big bales over 100 lbs and beautiful nice hay. They also feed horses round bales because it is so dry out there but I would NEVER feed a round bale to horses where I am because of humidity,,,,they use them for cows here.
Also were any pictures released of the red barn where this hay was stored on the Nash Ranch? I did not see any but someone made a comment which led me to believe that they saw a picture?
There are pics of the hay barn somewhere, don't have a link.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure we're talking leaking body fluids to discolor
the hay. And it would also explain why the cadaver dogs hit
on those top bales where the tote sat.

the confusion seems to be whether or not the "tote" is hard plastic
like one I have for horse tack or soft material like a large
duffle bag (which woulld probably leak, imo).
I don't think we've seen a good pic of tote even though LE has
one taken at the bank ATM on TG Day .

MOO - I think she's the narc (with psychopathic traits) and he's a sociopath/psychopath. Narcs are concerned with physical appearance and being admired. He shows no signs of that or the attention seeking. Both are extremely manipulative and controlling personality types and liars. The number one pass time between a couple like that would scheming. I think you're right about the "girl in love" because narcs idealize before they devalue and discard and she was probably in the ideal love phase, putting him him on a pedestal. Just imagine the pathology between these two. Poor Kelsey, it was like Satan, himself, was swirling around her and her baby girl.

There are several "types" of narcissists, and within those types there are as many variations as there are people. They share traits, but not all traits, and not always to the same degree.

Somatic narcissists are different from cerebral. Some are more grandiose than others. Some actually come off as shy.

IOW, not all of them are concerned with their physical appearance so I wouldn't necessarily use that as a yardstick with him.

Her...again, I am no expert and honestly she confuses me. Based on the little we know (and truly, for both of them, we don't know a whole lot about their experiences, their lives, their make-up) she seems like some odd blending of sociopath/narc/co-dependent and I haven't any idea if that is even possible.

I've wondered if someone who is seriously co-dependent and maybe depressed, can get so hung up on the "what if's" of their hoped for fairly tale that they're able to push aside their morality long enough to do his bidding.

IMO, whatever motivated each of them is based in evil. Bottom line. :-(

He still might. He might be advised right now not to talk until his lawyers sift through all of those 3300 pages and get his version of how things went down.

Great point.

Here is what a 100 gallon metal water trough for cattle looks like. Its dimensions are 2 ft. tall, 2 ft. wide, and 48" (4ft.) long. Not very big. I think the blood in the bathroom is because she was partially dismembered to get her in the black tote and then this trough. It just would have been easier to manage her body that way. I hope I am wrong. (Gotta click on the pic to see the wrong thing).
This is strange to me, because fires need air to keep it going. If you’ve ever used a burn barrel, you’ll know it slows the process down, so people usually drill a lot of holes in them (and the best burn barrels are more like cages, almost like heavy-duty screen). The more air, the bigger and hotter your fire can get.

So if he burned her in a trough, I think there had to be large pieces left. Pour all the accelerant in that you want, but the most important ingredient to a fire is air. Even if he did drill holes, it’s still going to take longer than an open air fire.

I must have missed the Nash Ranch pictures somehow then. I hope someone can re-post them.

Fluids would not have leaked out of a hard plastic "tote" if it were airtight with no cracks.

So I guess we wait for more information on whether it was a duffle bag which mistakenly was referred to as a "tote". A tote to me is a plastic container but things are said differently by people.

Regarding the landfill search—they have to be searching for only bones at this point, right? No way burning a corpse out in the open (not in a proper crematorium) would destroy everything to ash. And what about the two men who went with PF to the dump? I assume LE knows who they are. I wonder if they cooperated and if anything they said was of use.

Agree w/ you BUT my burn barrel is probably 4-4.5 ft. tall and
I've drilled holes around the lower half to help w/ burning.
The stock tanks on PF's property look like this picture.
The sides are only 2 ft. tall. That would make burning much, much much better for air and wouldn't need holes for air.

Here’s a better picture of the equipment we can see from the road. There’s a red hazmat truck and yellow tents set up where investigators will be meeting around 8 this morning to start searching @KKTV11News

I think it is on the small side, too. I have one just like it. You could get the body in there, but the tote would be snug if it would fit at all. Since this was based on KK's testimony, she would have misjudged the size of the trough. A 250 gallon would be more like what you would expect.
This makes more sense than the smaller oblong trough. I’m still struggling to see how a big enough and hot enough fire could be made in one night in a container with a 2nd very heavy duty black plastic tote container as well. It’s just not making much sense to me. If it was a tote bag it would make more sense. But a body burning within two containers - how was there enough air to create a hot enough fire to burn a body in one night?

Even a proper crematorium has to grind up bones that did not burn. If you read up on the process, many larger bones are not
left as ash until the grinding process is done.
I would guess there will be significant pieces of bones found.

I’m still hung up on the tote. Someone posted a picture of a very heavy duty plastic one (think as heavy duty as a locking plastic tool box that is affixed in a truck), which is about the only way it makes sense with the silver handles that have been mentioned. Now, it could have been a standard tote like you put your Christmas ornaments up in. But then, how do you carry a body in it without the handle ends buckling somewhat. They tend to do that. A standard storage tote might burn easily with a body inside. But if it was that heavy duty thick plastic? I don’t see how it happens.

No matter what kind of tote, and in a barrel with only one night’s burning, I believe there is plenty left to find at the dump.

3:44 p.m.

Defense asking if Slater was involved in discussion with Chad Lee, Krystal’s estranged husband. The defense says Lee didn’t know much about Frazee. Same goes for Krystal’s dad, who didn’t notice anything different on Thanksgiving Day when he was with Krystal.

Live blog: Patrick Frazee appears in court for preliminary hearing

2:47 p.m.

Slater said he didn’t see anything charred in the dirt there. He just noticed the discoloration. FBI evidence team was present. Kenney also pointed out a small red plastic gas can & totes similar to what she said Frazee used to transport Kelsey’s body.

Some great sleuthing going on here, and the information about the hay is spot on. I also think since they used a hay fork the bales were big round bales, they are cheaper, and cows will eat any hay, even older discolored hay. Also, discolored hay doesn't mean it has had anything leaked onto it, it gets that way from being at the top, and sides of the hay stack.

I want to amend my theory on PF and SF's "great escape", I don't think anyone in LE tipped him off, they probably all knew with the FBI involved, etc , that he was being watched, they would not want their number showing up on his cell phone the morning of the arrest. Also, they did not even make it to the gate, which makes me think they were hustling to get out.

So this makes me think one of his farrier/roping buddies in the area saw them rolling down Teller 1 and called him. Which makes we wonder, Did they know what he had done? Where they involved some way? Why call him? The sub division La Montana Mesa, and Las Brisas are just 3-4 minutes up the road from PF's gate. jmo

Gosh!! that's the prettiest chain link fence with the frost. So much hoping within the next few weeks they'll be able to locate Kelsey's remains and bring them home.
