So you just believe he has lived these thirty something years waiting for a chance to beat someone to death with a baseball bat? Maybe so but I can see him killing someone in his past who got in the way of anything he wanted.

I've known people with explosive tempers like him, and most people just try to steer clear of them. Add to that the fact that he was 6'3" and I'll bet people just tried to not get in his way.

I think his only angle is to point at KK.

The defense would have to shift the timeline, somehow explain away all PF’s lies, discount any forensic evidence, cast doubt on all the cell phone evidence, and somehow separate PF from the crime, while putting KK at the crime scene.

If they can do that, and luck out with a jury that is completely unable to grasp evidence, they still probably won’t have a chance in hell.

I guess he could say KK was staying with him and she brought KB's phone with her. That's about the only way. He would still have to be part of it due to the back and forth texting. I do think he will have the mindset that if he goes down, KK goes down with him. He seems like a "get even" kind of guy.

It's going to be interesting once it gets to trial. I agree with you that he is a Revenge Type of Guy. But we have our trusty timelines that so many people have contributed to to catch him, through his lawyer, in a lie quickly if he tries to change the timeline.

MG, I am still wondering what his motive was. We have both believed from the beginning it was custody. But I still can’t get over a baseball bat death. How horrifying. Even though he planned this for months, and even though it has been revealed how stupid he is, why use a baseball bat? That speaks to a lot of anger. Why not push someone off a cliff? Or use a gun? Why a baseball bat?

Looks like weather conditions have improved vastly.

They're obviously still hard at it as far as the search efforts go.

FYI, watching a show last night on another crime where a female's body was burned in a pit for 2 days and what was left fit into a coffee can... mainly bone fragments, there was some skin tissue recovered as well.

As sad and gruesome as it sounds, there may very well be enough remains to identify KB and return to her family. I certainly hope so for their sake.

I agree about Sam Kraemer. He has been one of the best reporters I have ever seen on any case such as this. From the moment the news story broke to present, he has and continues to do an amazing job.

Hoping LE does locate a portion of KBs remains. It would be nice if the family could have a burial of some sort. It would also be great for the prosecutor to locate KB. I know PF is a psychopath but he should realize his game is over and tell the authorities where he placed her remains. I suppose we are asking too much of the murderer.

ETA: yes, Sam has been great at keeping us informed and updated.

Actually I had seen the headline before I asked the question, but since I'm not following that case I had no idea it constituted big news, nor whether most people would think it good news or bad. So interesting to read how that news affected how people are perceiving the potential concerns in this case.

And definitely it's nicer to discuss a case when people can be respectful to each other even in the face of differing opinions about the case at hand.
