Michelle Stein basically says she did nothing wrong, as who the hell is she going to tell about the plot (which police department)?

After the 48 Hours correspondent called her out on this nonsense, she then expresses regret at not doing the very thing she just defended not doing.

Confused? Me too.
And Michelle Stein acted as if it would have been impossible to ask KK the full name of both the friend and who he was planning to kill, so she could report it to the police. Had she done so, Ms. Berreth might very well be alive today.

“I think a lot of people are wondering if they got the right person in jail.” -Clint

I’m not so sure about that. Atleast he seems to have come down from “a lot of people are going to have to eat crow,” from the Dateline episode.

Trial to begin October 28th..which y'all all probably know but I've been super busy...pretty soon I'll have more time.
I'll make time for this...for Kelsey...
for sure.

Did y’all catch the friend saying that PF asked KK to kill her because she was seeking custody of baby K? Then immediately says and she was afraid she would her the baby or some mess!! Ughhh!

If you're best girlfriends and one friend has reconnected with her high school love after a divorce and is often driving 12 hours to hook up with him, she would probably mention his name to said best friend.

Good follow-up questions were as absent as heavy eye makeup was present on this episode of 48 Hours.

Ha! Between MS and AF, the lashes were layered on so thick Tammy Faye herself would have been hard pressed to compete with those peepers.

What struck me watching that entire piece was the really profound contrast between KB's friends and KK/PF's "friends."

KB's friends were genuine, compassionate and empathic, and their focus was entirely on her.
KB's friends came across as being very likable individuals.

PF and KK's friends, on the other hand, were defensive and self-absorbed.
None of them mentioned KB's name a single time.
None of them expressed regret that KB was brutally murdered.
Not. Once.

PF and KK's friends came across as being very unlikable individuals.

Birds of a Feather, Indeed.

JMO.

At one time I thought I might have a grip on this case. But after 48 Hours, HEARING the timeline, the 3 ways PF asked KK to murder KB, listening to MS's story, I can honestly say, this case is nothing short of insane. Who does this stuff?
Stepping away from here for awhile, then closely listening tonight, the solicitations alone (coffee, a pipe, a baseball bat) are nuts! Then the eventual blindfolded candle scent test is double nuts!
I'm going back into hiding. Tell me this sucker will be on Court TV so I can at least keep score!

MOO, MOO

I think KK will have a lot more than 50 questions and I predict she will be on the stand for more than a day at the very minimum. No hiding this time right?

They make me sick as well.

Jmo.

When I mentioned 20 questions (and was quoted), I was referring to SF and her taking the 5th. Not KK.

If the prosecution decides to drag on with SF for hours (all of it being her taking the 5th), they'll just alienate the jury.

At any rate, my above comments had nothing to do with KK.

Well, it could very well be the case that MS knew that KK would clam up if asked such things. Good friends and good investigators know this line. If she pressed KK, she wouldn't have gotten the actual details but she wouldn't have as much info as she now does. Pressuring criminally minded people to say more isn't easy and almost never works.

MS would have had to try to suss it out herself. IMO.

Yes, I know. I was responding to Steelslady who did bring up KK. :)

Good point. Thanks for the perspective.

That’s new as far as I know. I also think that tidbit about him being emotionally abusive to Kelsey, was new too.

One of her friends said something to the effect of “he used to tear her down.”
Was that the same friend who said he was "borderline" emotionally abusive towards her or a different one?

Just rewatched it and it’s the same friend.

Rough quote:

“She seemed to be kind of stressed out from the whole thing. That she couldn’t make him happy.”

Correspondent: “Was he emotionally abusive?”

“It appeared that way. It was just knocking her spirit down.”

Yep, it was her best friend, AC.
Here's a copy of the 48 hrs. show's transcript:

The murder of Kelsey Berreth: What does Krystal Lee know about the Colorado mom's killing?
SFA:

Friends say Kelsey was struggling to balance the baby, her job and a long commute. Her relationship with Frazee seemed strained.

Ashley Cogburn: … she seemed to be kind of stressed out from the whole thing that she couldn't make him happy.

Nikki Battiste: Was Patrick emotionally abusive?

Ashley Cogburn: It appeared that way from what I saw … And it seemed like it was just knocking her spirit down.

Oh I know. I made the mistake one time of saying how she disgusted me, getting a burger, after doing all that cleaning of blood. I got a bit chastised for it, if you can believe........

Sick is right. Evil, disgusting, vile- her and PF. Poor Kelsey- bad enough she was murdered, but then burned like trash in a back yard. Just how sick in the head can you be to know a murder was coming, to attempt to murder three times but didn't do it, then come and clean up after your lover killed his lover, eat at Sonic, help burn that poor woman's body, then go home?

I just can't wrap my head around this.

And you never will.

What she did is as shocking to me as the actual murder.
