OMG this guy is from Fort Collins! Military, age 30, guns and rifles...wow this will be so amazing if by chance ballisics is matched to him!!

When did this guy go to California? When the shootings stopped? I'm optimistic here...

I couldn't find a page for Michael. It could have been taken down already.

Thank you very much, prefectingpink. I really appreciate all you do here!!

And booooooo if his fb went poof and I didn't get to see it! :banghead:

If he's our guy, LE will link him (well, I say that, then look at Daniel Nations...no link confirmed by LE so far and it's been, what weeks with no word?)

Anyway, some of the same agencies and departments handling these recent shootings are also involved in NOCO, so if there's a link, they'll find it. He is a POI in my opinion!! (I found MZ also lived in Florida).

Incident re: flare gun shooting in Loveland, posting for reference just in case:

Loveland police arrest man on attempted-murder allegations in suspected flare gun shooting

********

Additionally, for reference:

Conversion kits

Conversion kits are available to convert a flare gun to accept conventional ammunition by use of barrel inserts. Use of these kits in the Orion plastic flare gun is not recommended by the manufacturer and ATF tests have shown that use results in a catastrophic failure. In the United States, if these conversion kits are used in a flare gun, the converted gun is considered to be a firearm by the ATF. If a rifled barrel insert is used, the converted firearm is classified as a pistol; if a smoothbore barrel insert is used, the converted firearm is classified as an AOWsubject to the additional requirements of the NFA.[10] Flare cartridges are low pressure compared to conventional ammunition and even metal flare guns are not designed, tested or intended to be used with conventional ammunition. Conversion of a flare gun to fire convention ammunition may also be restricted by local "zip gun" laws."

Friends told CBS4’s Dillon Thomas Dierker was in Fort Collins to celebrate the birthday of her childhood friend Savannah McNealy.

I missed those guys. But its good to see you still rocking and rolling on this case. They just caught the boys responsible for throwing boulders and tires from overpasses that caused a death and plenty of highway scares.

Reminder, William Connole died from a shotgun blast (reference below):

http://www.coloradoan.com/story/new...-force-still-stumped-one-year-later/83541220/

"However, the task force said it would not dispute a Coloradoan reporter's information from the Larimer County Coroner's Office that William Connole died as a result of a shotgun blast at close range.

The task force, a consortium of local, state and federal law enforcement, reiterated the first two shootings, which injured Cori Romero near Fort Collins and killed John Jacoby in Windsor, are related. It also reiterated the fatal shooting of Connole in Loveland and another non-injury shooting in Loveland the same night are linked."

*******

There is much violence and gang activity in Denver so very well could do be unrelated to NOCO; however considering the shotgun and proximity to I25, makes me wonder...I would not anticipate jurisdictional blindness considering the Task Force, however DPD is quite busy...this shooting might turn out to be targeted, more likely than random, imo...

Who killed Jacoby and Connole?

Ugh, another thread for cross reference, today's Texas church shooting, deadliest in Texas history...27 dead...:(...shooter used to live in Colorado Springs it seems, curious where he was in May 2015?

"Kelley lived at a mobile home park in Colorado Springs as recently as November 2014, according to state voter records. He registered as an unaffiliated voter, but never cast a ballot in Colorado. He did not have a criminal record here, according to a Colorado Bureau of Investigation background check."

"DENVER — Denver police took time on their Facebook page to remind residents of several neighborhoods that they would be conducting live-gunfire testing of the ShotSpotter gunfire detection system between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Monday night. ShotSpotter detects the sound of gunshots and helps DPD to identify the area in which the shots were fired, according to the post. The exercise will test the current system and does not include any new locations or installations of the system. The live…"

Eta: I teresting:

"The hours of 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. were chosen for testing because the majority of shootings and shots fired occur at night and in the early morning hours and acoustics are different at night."
