I am so happy LE arrested someone finally. Lets hope they have enough evidence to prove they have the right person.

The two charges against CDP appear to be for these two incidents so far.

"Court records indicate the offense date of both crimes as June 3, 2015, which matches the unsolved shooting death of 65-year-old Loveland man William Connole. That same night, a motorcycle rider was also shot at in Loveland, though the person was not hit by gunfire."

Back when all the random shootings were happening there were many shootings in many areas of the highways near Denver. At least 20-30 cars were hit. There is a map I will try to find and I think what would be important is if anything is stated or hinted to that could tie the person to an area close to one of the other highway shootings.

People's car windows were being shot out while they were on the highway driving and other roads near Denver. There was very little evidence that LE was ever able to find who was doing all the other shootings.

There must have been 20-30 vehicles hit by projectiles on the roads. Most of us felt that one shooter did a lot of those vehicle shootings. Let me find the good map that I think Forager created.

Also the weird thing is LE never found many bullets. So we thought the shooter may have used some special ammunition. So if anything is spotted about using a unique type of ammunition that may be important.

I found the Map.

This is the map of all the incidents of random highway shootings. These all happened shortly after those two people were shot at and one killed. We are not sure if the same person that shot the two people were involved in these other random highway shootings but it is a possibility because of how random the two people were shot at to begin with.

Anything found in FB that may tie to any of these other locations or to some sort of unique ammunition may be helpful to look for.

ETA There were actually 3 people actually confirmed shot and a 4th person was the one who was shot at. Two of those 4 people he is being charged with. I think its possible the same shooter was involved in all four of the shootings because they were all pretty close together and around the same time.

And all the other random shootings ( 20-30) were shootings at peoples vehicles. It was a crazy time. I dont live in Colorado but Margarita does I think and she was helping us out a lot about what was going on. It was scary times for anyone living there and having to drive the main highways around Denver.

You just click on the incident and it takes you to the exact location on the map. And some incidents even give a detailed desription of the incident.

Notice how many incidents WOW. Its still hard to believe how many car shootings there were. Around 29 to be exact plus the 4 people shot at above that.

Okay thanks I'll screenshot some stuff. I actually live in Superior, which is slightly north from Denver. I remember when these happened...it was quite worrisome for some of my friends in the area. I was commuting pretty far to work at the time.

I live fairly close to this. Very interesting. This story had gone quiet here for a while. There were lots of shattered windows on vehicles on this stretch of I-25. The Colo Hwy Patrol determined that a lot of them were likely just from road debris, rocks kicked up by traffic. But I have never seen so many broken side windows in cars like that. There was clearly a shooter involved in some of them, and of course there were the 3 people actually shot plus the motorcycle guy that was shot at. I believe at one time they were looking for a red or orange 70's era pickup truck as possibly linked to the 2 Loveland shootings. I wonder if this guy has such a truck.

I never believed the "road debri" excuse. Maybe some of them were road debri but there was just way too many incidents all happening around the same time and same area. And some victims heard a popping sound as well.

JMO but I believe the shooter was using a special type of bullet that would fragment or explode when it hit something and that would explain why LE never found any lead projectiles in the vehicles.

They make exploding bullets and they also make fragmenting bullets that would basically disintegrate upon impact. If the person arrested was fond of any strange ammunition like that it would be very interesting to hear about.

We of course dont want to just copy anything from there over to here at WS but I think we can talk about it in a generic way since he is arrested and charged with at least two shootings.

And you are right about the old red truck sighting. There is a picture back on these pages somewhere of a picture of that red truck of what the witness said it looked like. I will try to find that picture or sketch is what I think the task force gave us.

I think that unless the bullet came to rest inside of a vehicle, it would be nearly impossible to recover one from the road or surrounding area. As you mentioned, there are such things as frangible bullets that turn to powder on impact. Certainly could have been used. I wouldn't be surprised if there was actually more shootings than were reported. We heard about the shattered windows, but how many shots either missed the vehicles completely, or perhaps didn't hit a window but the side of the vehicle. The driver wouldn't even know the vehicle had been hit until much later when they happened to see a little hole in their car. I'll be interested to hear more about this suspect and how he was identified and what evidence there is.

Thank you. Sorry as it was probably my fault too. I get confused about social media rules here and we probably should just error on safe side and just discuss generically.

I think once the person is arrested like in this case we can investigate things but its probably best if we just talk generically about what we are seeing elsewhere.

I agree he could have painted it. When LE showed us the picture of the truck to be on the lookout for that made pretty big news at the time so the shooter likely would have taken steps to either paint or get rid of the truck they had.

I will try to find LE picture of that orangish truck. It was an ugly color LOL

Oh no worries Anyway, he does appear to drive an older Ford sometimes also. It's mostly white, although on one photo it looked like the top was yellow and there was red (just a little bit on the bottom of the door). Another truck he has a photo of himself in is black with a red interior. He's heavily into drugs, and to be honest, it really wouldn't surprise me if he had said something to one of his friends, they got arrested and decided to turn him in.

He has an unfortunate habit of posting screenshots of FB messages regarding his friend's arrests..which I could see making people mad.
Overall he just seems like a really twisted individual. On one photo he mentions his night vision equipment..and he seems to have a huge array of weapons. I'm really surprised he hasn't been arrested for something sooner to be honest. A lot of his posts are really scary.

On his older FB towards the end of 2014 he has quite a few photos of people dead in the road and in their cars...like really gruesome. I advise anyone not to go digging around if they are bothered by it. He also appears to like to kill bunnies. I think I'm done looking for now.

Wow.
With all the guns and ammunition and other things like night vision and being fond of gruesome pictures I think its a possible candidate for other crimes like some of the other vehicle random shootings.

I hope LE really investigates him and doesnt stop until they know if he has done other crimes.
