There has not been much for snow around Longmont or Boulder this season, so I agree. I think her body could be locatable, even today.
I don't know how Lyons has been. It's farther into the mountains, and I don't go there regularly (hardly ever, actually), so they may have some snow, but Boulder and Longmont and the surrounding areas have been unusually dry and warm.

I lurked following this case. I’m so sad to see that she’s still not been found. That JF is terrifying. I never had the courage to go to LE about my SA, so I can attest that his victim has brass ovaries for facing him down and telling LE all the painful details. And I wasn’t strangled. Add the strangulation and this woman is full of courage. Brave, brave, brave. She’s saved umpteen others from his predatorial self. I don’t doubt that JF is likely who happened to Rita. I pray they’ll find her. I can’t imagine the family and friends heartbreak. jmo

Monday marks year since Longmont's Rita Gutierrez-Garcia disappeared

“Gutierrez-Garcia has not been seen since, and Monday marks the one year anniversary of her disappearance.”

“Figueroa has not been charged with any crime in connection to Gutierrez-Garcia's disappearance.

Figueroa, who was arrested at the United States/Mexico border, was wanted in connection with the alleged violent sexual assault of another woman whom he met at a downtown Longmont bar. He is currently standing trial on the charges in Boulder District Court. The trial, which began last week, is expected to continue to the end of this week.“

“A memorial bench and plaque honoring missing Longmont woman Rita Gutierrez-Garcia is now in place at Thompson Park.

Longmont police in a news release Wednesday announced that friends and family of Gutierrez-Garcia are celebrating her 36th birthday at the park, 420 Bross St., at 1 p.m. April 7.”

That is quite sad that they could not make him tell what he knows about Rita.

I have a suspicion this is going to be related to Rita. The man who was exhumed passed away 3 days before she disappeared, and the police in Longmont are who exhumed it.
