True; maybe to confirm that the barefoot prints are not his?
because the barefoot prints belongs to someone else? JMO MOO MOO

back to my rabbit hole and my accomplice's possible scenario.
Interesting !

The fact that he backed into his garage means liftle to me. Men are the ones usually backing into spaces. If you see a parking space and a vehicle has backed in, check and see. Most of the time it will be a man.

Maybe with the back up cam things are different? I don’t have a back up cam so I don’t know how great they are.

I know it is easier to parallel park. I hate backing up
If he pulled straight in, cab first, and left the big garage door open, neighbors could see more of what he was loading into the back bed or back seats, but if he backed in, his activities may have been more obscured. Someone also posted here last night (I think?) that their spouse works in a similar place that he did, and they are taught to back trucks in, in the event of an emergency so they can drive out quickly. Maybe an old habit, too.

I agree - don’t see it as being all that relevant but hey, never hurts - belt and suspenders and all...

Someone was like “hey, is that... a FOOTPRINT?” And then they realized that they take fingerprints during the booking process but not footprints soooo... another motion, asking for “stuff”! :)

And Ergo, why drones are so fabulous in this day and time for investigative to crimes! The defense can't say that somebody trampled on the crime scene. They knew what they were looking for and protected it?

If it's the garbage bag, then maybe he stood on it bare foot during the time he was stuffing the bodies into it, at home.

And we perhaps can hopefully assume that the prosecution is all over it as to that plastic garbage bag matches the lot number of those in his house?

Yes, yes, Just like in the Melanie Mcguire's case. She stuffed her husband's cut up bodies in garbage bags.

That is odd that he knew exact times. That former teacher said he had a photographic memory. I also wonder if the neighbor checked their security camera, hoping to see if it picked up anyone abducting the family, and then told CW before LE even checked out their cameras what time they saw him leave and that they noticed no one else that the camera picked up.

I'd always assumed so, from the get go.
Ditto the 1.48am came from NUA, as NUA had been there with LE & CW for some time that afternoon, plenty of opp. to relay that

Kyle Peltz...pros. wants inked footprints; numerous items tested; evidence #26 from the oil site, bag w footprints, don't know what type of bag. Don't know where at the site the bag was, don't know if a body was inside previously.

Who's footprint? No one knows! AB, big eyes, 'OMG What if it's someone else's footprint??' Trying to rule out another person, prove it's him, disprove it's someone else, AB has said BARE? FOOTprint?? BARE FootPrint!? Bare footPRINT?? like 12 different ways.

Bla bla bla oil field is remote...Oh Steve from People is on! Talkin about the bag...CW 's lawyers are fighting everything, CW not doing well, might fight the footprints, bla bla bla CW sinking in, sleeping not talking, lost in thoughts, depression; he's not making phone calls, not talking to people, aaaand break!

Oh wait, Apple watch...it's a spy, watch might have secretssssss

oops, my friend is stopping by so I might miss stuff. Talking about the watch it might show going up and down stairs and would show he went up and down when he said he did.

AB: That is fascinating! They would know his HEART beat? His BLOOD pressure? His STEPS up and DOWN?
BBM: I'm sure he's lost in thought and feeling depressed. Going to be hard hooking up with AP's and he's likely nervous about dropping soap in the prison showers. Tsk Tsk.

Thanks for the summaries of AB, I can't watch without needing a few glasses of wine to take her annoying edge off!

The interviews reveal he is not a sophisticated liar and the defense will use that to their advantage.

He also did not manipulate evidence, though partly because of NUA, so another check mark under positive column for the defense team.

I don't know about all that. He had at least one ongoing affair, which he had to lie about to his wife and family.

And he certainly did manipulate evidence. Disposing of the bodies in the dead of night? What is that if not manipulating key evidence?

SW has been continually criticised here, for going to several Doctors/ changing Doctors, as worried about her, and her children's 'health concerns'.
I do this, and don't have the many Health Issues.
This topic has been discussed, and I wish to support SW's actions, in seeking the best treatment she feels is required.

You have to back in in the oilfield. Yes, for safety and quick exit. I always got to the site extra early because I was so poor at backing in. Now it's easy. But since neighbors noticed it, maybe he didn't usually back in? Premeditated?

BBM
I hadn't thought about that. When he said he called/texted her, for some reason I assumed earlier, but now I wonder if it was only after NUA called him. I look forward to seeing all the digital forensics/electronic evidence. Tapping foot...:D

You probably assumed, or at least I did, that he called her before she called and texted. Because when asked, he said I just called her to ask how things were going. Not that he was concerned.

Tech expert on AB:

If CW was wearing his Apple Watch, his step activity (going up and down stairs when he said, per his scenario) should be logged.

Shanann had series 3 Apple Watch, which is the most advanced model.

If she had watch on, LE might be able to view her heart rate, and could theoretically determine when altercation occurred, how long, and approximate time of death.

If she awoke to being strangled, it could show heart rate changes.

Most of this is contingent upon the watch being in “exercise mode” in order to get real time data.

There is no confirmation that either of them were actually wearing their watches, so this is speculative.

back to my rabbit hole and my accomplice's possible scenario.

what would be the basis for that speculation though? I just read a post about baseless speculation somewhere on one of these threads

We have no basis, from the Prosecution/LE for AP being an accomplice in these crimes. We've been told the co-worker is cooperating though.

Interesting thought: CW couldn't take the bodies out the front door of his home because HIS OWN Ring doorbell camera would have recorded him doing that.
DING DING! Yes, excellent observation! I have one of those doorbell thingies on my phone, so does Mr Mouse, and if I enter or exit the house its recorded on the phone.

I don’t practice in Colorado, but I did a little research and this seems unusual. I can’t find any other cases where the DA (rather than the custodian) made the request, nor can I find any where they made the claim about tainting the jury pool. Not saying it doesn’t exist - just that i can’t find any.

The ones I’ve seen (where the motion was granted) related to 1) situations where the perpetrator was still unknown and 2) where the families of the victims claimed they would suffer extensively with the release of the reports. (I am NOT saying they wouldn’t, in this case - but that is not what the prosecution is claiming)

This motion definitely piqued my curiosity and I will be interested to see how it plays out

Thanks @Amandaaa. My curiosity is way up and I'm interested to see how it plays out too.

Why would anyone take a dead body out the front door when they have a garage that would conceal them? I wouldn't take that chance.

  • #438

And he certainly did manipulate evidence. Disposing of the bodies in the dead of night? What is that if not manipulating key evidence?

I was saying that from the defense team's point of view and how they will present the way CW dispose of the bodies. That CW wasn't manipulating, but he panicked and got rid of the bodies as quickly as he can, perhaps to protect the wife's image.

It is important to note that the way he disposed of the bodies does not equal premeditation. Somebody can kill someone accidentally and still dispose the same way.

God bless those of you who can watch AB everyday. She's practically begging this expert to say what she wants him to say to the point of googling the answer after he already told her the answer. She annoys me more than Nancy Grace.

Great point. If the car was backed up in front of the garage, it would also be easier to load the bodies, and not risk being spotted (the truck would provide cover).
Especially if he put SW in the tool box instead of the back seat....

*edit for typo
