BBM: I don't think SP's mother would have liked any woman who married her "precious" offspring Scott.
No woman was good enough for little Scotty and Laci was a perfect DIL, imho. I think most moms would have been delighted to have had Laci as a DIL, she was a class act and would have been an amazing mom if SP hadn't murdered her and Connor.
As for the other women you have quoted, the one thing they have in common is being unlucky enough to fall for the wrong guy.
As an attorney what do you think, Gitana1?

I don't think my profession tells me much. But I do notice a commonality with the women for whom I could find descriptions - generally very outgoing and sociable.

Their husbands don't seem to be the same.

I keep going back to that post by someone on here (Was it @Davia18?) about a SM video that showed SW getting footage of her Thrive colleagues dancing. She's carrying on with them. Excited. They're all dancing for her.

In the background is CW. Standing in profile. Sort of maybe pretending to be socializing with a couple of dudes in front of him. But lurking. And in side profile, turning, and just watching her as she was exuberant and getting all the attention as was probably usual.

The poster said his demeanor and his look reminded her of her husband. Who was a secret abuser and would go after her for whatever behavior he decided to find fault with, once they got home.

That post never left me. I have seen the video two or three times but his face, his body language never left me. He was watching her. Observing. Judging. IMO.

I don't know that he was secretly abusive. I haven't heard any evidence of that. But I do think he was secretly resentful. Filled with simmering envy. Anger. Eventually rage.

Hey Human, is Lamguage a typo language or is it for something else? (sincere :) ) I read up on secure attachment in the past and I'm curious.

Thanks Serena :) What I was looking at (sorry I do not have it handy) was the coordinates of the site given in the warrentless affidavit, then I zoomed and I'm curious if that is the gate the oil pumpers used. The video you posted is very interesting, but they did not have legal access either so it was a lot of trying get there with out tresspassing kwim?

What is kwim short for? What I liked about this video is that it just gives a sense of how long it takes to go down those dirt roads and how totally deserted and out there it is. Who would go there unless they HAD to? Even if there are cameras, I would be surprised if they have much of a problem with trespassers (at least before this happened & they may have had to put up more security since the Watts deaths) but prior to that, if an Anadarko employee had access to be there, who would doubt their intentions were anything but work related?

Quote didn't work the first time so editing to insert

"My theory is his weight loss and physical transformation invited attention from outside the marriage, an affair and began to change his perspective on his life. SW appeared to be the leader/planner and what he previously viewed as OK was now viewed as irritants and obstacles to a different life that he possibly now wanted."

This ^^^

It in no way excuses what he did.

I don't pretend to understand the mind of family anihilators so I have no idea what happened between the above and the murders but I agree with this theory.

Begrudging her FUN! What kind of a loving spouse does that, anyway?

The kind who has a shadow personality and has never really made his own decisions because he's never had real "agency" since you need an actual identity to have that.

Someone who is always living someone else's life and who has to pretend he likes it but can't possibly like what he didn't really choose.

Someone who envies the bright, happy spark who never seems to feel the quiet sense of unease and frustration that he does or that feeling of otherness and never belonging, because how can a shadow person who wears a mask, ever really belong?

They pick women who are everything they're not. Happy. Social. Connected. Outgoing.

And then they grow to hate that woman who is everything they can never authentically be.

My non-professional theory at the moment.

Aaargh, I cannot find that dancing video. Does anyone have a link?

That is so ominous -- like a predator stalking its prey, almost lazily. Enjoying the hunt.
MOO: this guy CW was so seething with rage. If he goes on trial and takes the stand I hope the prosecution provokes him into losing his temper in front of the jurors, and showing his true colors. Like Jodi Arias did, when she gave the judge the "finger" in such a passive-aggressive way and then pretended to furiously color-in her lame drawings with a stubby pencil..

I'm trying to find out when it all began. When did he start hating his family? When did he decide to kill them all.

It has been two months and every time I think about this case, it's still shocking and appalling and sickening and we still don't have an answer to why. I'm afraid we will never know the whys.

The following is my amateur armchair analysis/theory of CW's mind (I believe he is a sociopath):
I don't think he ever loved them or ever knew what real love was. He may have done things that seemed normal and "loving" but he may have been parroting what he thought he should say his whole life. Copying movies and what he observed others do without any genuine emotions of his own. I don't think he hated them because I think he was unable to feel anything that deeply. I don't think he viewed them as separate humans from himself with their own agency-- he saw them only as accessories, objects that he helped create (and thought he had a right to destroy). When he decided he wanted to stop being a father and husband and focus on his APs he saw no way to make that happen with divorce or separation. SW, Bella, Cece & Nico would still exist and get in his way of real freedom in his mind. In order to be free of them, he concluded he had to murder them. I don't know when he decided it but it may have been something he considered off and on for a while before actually do it. I don't think we will ever truly get a "why" answer. Even if he tells us a "why" it will be incomprehensible to us. JMO.

If he didn't feel anything for anyone, why would it be different with the AP?

Sorry, I used internet acronym, kwim means "know what I mean"?

The place where her grave was dug seems so obvious, it’s mind boggling. It really makes me think he planned to move it when he had more time.

I agree, I assume it had to be cleared and excavated a bit more when they recovered Shanann. :( But until I saw this again recently I still somehow had the impression in my mind that he dug the shallow grave in the cleared dirt part where the tanks are. It seems like that would be much less detectable if he needed a temporary spot. That hard rock and dirt must have been very difficult to dig.

I wonder if we will see any of the drone footage during trial of the site as it was when first spotted.

It wouldn’t have been. It was likely another challenge and way to rebel against his home life MOO

She was batship borderline though. They express rage pretty easily. The family annihilators don't though. They're terrified of being unmasked and showing true, negative emotion.

So they're very adept at hiding it.

I predict we won't see a lick of anger from CW. Only feigned tears a la Neil Entwistle whose pretend sobbing at trial looked exactly like actual, gleeful laughing.

WOW. That look at around 1:10 is just pure evil creepy. Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

I don't know if this one will help or not...
There is also this one with an aerial view:
The GPS coordinates are: 40.21624374, -104.36667
Thank You Pommy :) The screen shot of the first video is exactly where I was thinking. If you follow the dirt roads on google, it looks like the entrance the roads to CW buriel site may be just feet to the right of the main entrance of the ranch.

Good point. There are a lot of apps for journaling. Mine has its own pin number and isn't accessible without it. I certainly don't share any of it on SM, though, as that defeats the purpose of a private journal. Also it's great to use voice to text and some you can do a video diary and it's saved in the app not your phone's regular storage.

That would be great if there was something like that chronicling her life/their relationship, etc.

Exactly - it would be so great if she did something like this.

Completely agree. There have been several posts on here that touch on this dynamic. I recognize those traits or observances we’ve made of CW, as I have some of those myself. But ... I’m a woman, not a man.

The AP would have found that out eventually.

I'm not yet convinced he felt anything for the AP(s). Other than it was exciting to him, and he had no real responsibilities.

I have wondered if the rumors/reports of multiple AP(s) are for the very reason Saguaro mentioned- that each of them (if true) realised he had no real feelings for them and moved on. IMO, he began receiving attention he never had before, and found it easy (in his mind) to replace them.
