He must have seen it to have mentioned it in his statement. It's only a fact he could know from seeing it happen IMO.

So he either did it during daylight or turned on a light in the room. I imagine there are window coverings to block out light in the children’s rooms. A nighlight would not show much. To me, a hall light would be too far away to show much in terms of color in a dark room. But maybe, then.

You're welcome. And to ensure there's no confusion, I think the state would accept and offer of guilt and LWOP.

I don't believe the defendant would make such an offer.

There are some ridiculous and sometimes irrelevant bits of gossipy nonsense circling around out there about SW that I believe have been disseminated by some close to CW in a desperate effort to cast doubt as to his guilt.

I would expect to see a quick quieting of such nonsense (which could indicate he has talked to his loved ones about a plea), before I would come close to thinking there's a possible deal in the works.

But I really don't think that's going to happen here.

It would be great if it did though. It would spare SW's family and loved ones from more unbearable grief.
Agree. His lawyers probably told them to save their defense money for his commissary because its a no winner with very nil chances. Jmo.

Agree. It does sound like he killed her before she had the chance to relay her plans to him for Monday.

Example. Oh Im tired and I have to be up at 8 because of xyz.
Wasn’t she going to hear the heartbeat?

Would he have turned on the light to look at his children while strangling them?

Would Shanann have turned on the lights in each child's bedroom to look at her kids as she strangled them?

I hope to goodness she never discovered he had killed the girls. (MOO)

Same question could be asked of Shanann..would she turn a light on to do that, thus allowing him to allegedly see Bella "blue" on the bed?

Exactly. And not one light but both. Because CW claims he saw one blue and then saw her strangling the other. So there likely had to be lights in both rooms for him to see that detail.

Nah. Instead I think he murdered his daughters and turned the lights on and kept checking the monitors as he ran around the house gathering stuff to remove their bodies from the house with. Like garbage bags.

From the beginning I thought he kept looking at them in the monitors after he killed them to make sure they were actually dead and hadn't revived.

There has been much speculation/observation that he seemed to become more detached from them toward the end. Imo, by the night of the murder, they were no longer his wife and children. They were no longer even real people. They were just problems in need of a solution. That's the only way a person could do any of this and not totally fall apart. Jmo.
I think people like CW have much experience projecting/gas lighting. He was probably already believing his own lie that SW strangled the babies before he even loaded them in his pick-up truck. I think he also demonstrated this (believing his own lie) in his interviews the following day. MOO

No. I think it's just a status conference. Probably changed courtrooms and date due to scheduling conflicts. These courtrooms have regular calendars going on but when there are high profile cases it slows the rest of the docket waaay down.

So I've seen that they sometimes move the hearing to different courtroom, or retired judge so they can deal with it while not impacting the overall calendar.

I'm not feeling a plea deal in the works in this case.
I would generally agree but I just get the feeling this one is something important.

I get that feeling too. What do you think it could be?

A plea is the first thing that came to mind... other than that, I’m not sure - but something important.

Psychopaths do have a tendency to believe their own lies after awhile.

I do think when relationships or marriages disintegrate, behaviors come out in people, that even they can hardly recognize. All the pent up fears and emotions that have been stuffed over time just come to the surface in unexpected ways. Both of these people put on happy faces amidst all the chaos and health issues they were dealing with inside the family, to say nothing of the inability to manage their finances in a realistic way. Living in pretend worlds caught up with them. MOO

Or he turned on a light after he did it to monitor the bodies and make sure they stayed dead.

Agree. Considering that Thanksgiving Day is 11/22, schedule change from the 11/21 date is most logical.

Unless you have inside info I can't imagine why.

Do you think he's going to plead guilty to murdering the girls? Or other homicide of them?

Or do you suspect they are going to accept a plea deal from him for one count of second degree murder charge reduced to a third degree felony based on amazing things that the state has discovered that they suddenly feel weaken their case to nothing?

At 3.26, SW turns her camera to the night stand where the baby monitor sits. Could any one determine a child has turned blue with that tiny screen? I don't believe it for a moment. The screen switches rooms approximately every 8 or 9 seconds.
I'm wondering where the door is, if CW could immediately see SW wasn't in the room, why go round the bed to look at the baby monitor? His story is unbelievable! JMO

In regards to when NUA "went over there"; I've thought about that a number of times and wondered if NUA risked her life with her persistence? What if LE hadn't been there when CW arrived? Would we have ended up with a scenario where SW and NUA disappeared with their kids? NUA interrupted home intruders who kidnapped everyone? NUA is a brave woman and a great friend and definitely a game-changer!

Keeping in mind, she had the presence of mind to bring her son with her to the house potentially for protection. He is not a *child*, and both of them there at the same time which was a smart idea.

I thought a status hearing would be a simple court update on where things stand and the start of scheduling for future events?

If I was his lawyers. He wouldn't mess up my Thanksgiving to New Years holidays. Lol. Jmo.
